I'm not criticizing your point or analogy about the house comparison but in a lot of RC hobbies You are somewhat encouraged to kind of trek into the unknown and build your own things (cars trucks drones helis planes) when you become thoroughly invested and rooted in The RC world. That's not the case in the housing market, from what I have gathered, the only people that are building their own houses tend to be on the wealthier side. So there's that clear distinction between everyday people that could never afford to buy or build a house outright and somebody that is going to build some sort of RC that would be the same cost as buying it pre-built. so I don't think it's a one to one analogy, but it is a very good analogy for people that are just joining the hobby. All in all you guys did an amazing job with this video. Love you two, Love the channel y'all are awesome.
And if I misunderstood the analogy in any way I'm very sorry. Like I said, I'm not trying to be a 🍆. I'm not trying to criticize at all. If it seemed condescending when reading, I am very sorry, was not my intention.
Keep them rolling. Speed test and bash mountain perfect . Dont listen to cry baby haters. Dude you have way too many toys. Wish i could buy your used. I got over 300 hours on my trx4 . Maybe 5 broken parts in 2 years. Enjoy axial losi traxxas. All drive so different and easy to fix. I fly too but not as good as you. Sport cub s taught me to fly in 30 minutes. 2 days later got apprentice. Horizon makes fun and the stand behind their products. I only buy traxxas and horizon hobby due to parts and customer support and durability.
Great vid, I agree it's great for the people who can't or don't have the ability to build there own for whatever reason....I also agree about pro line bodies some of there pics of painted body's are amazing and I would buy a lot of body's if they came painted, well maybe it's good they don't then...lol.... And don't say that's gonna be your nicest rig, you guys have lots of awesome rigs right behind you that we can see....and we have seen them out in action, you guys have a great collection!!!!👍👍
I'm not a big fan of crawlers but this is cool if ya like crawlers. Although y'all have got me thinking about getting a smallish one for around the house 😁
You should absolutely pick up a small crawler for indoor running! Easy way to help get your RC fix without getting bundled up in the winter or rained on, etc.. during bad weather! Plus, they don’t cost much compared to larger vehicles! 👍😁😎⚓️
I hear you loud and clear. The crazy thing though, is we’ve talked to a lot of people that have $2,000-$3,000 in their custom 1/10 rock crawler builds! 😬😅⚓️
I gotta say I did pay 1300 for my traxxas xrt, batteries, and charger but it is by far my strongest rc vehicle. I jump it alot and have had many not ideal landings and it's not broke yet. I did add zip ties to wing mount because I hear it's a weak point. I own ten + rc cars and I feel I got what I paid for. Can't speak on a 1300 dollar crawler. Scx6 doesn't have the best reputation for a 1000 plus cost. Scx10 for the 1000 plus doesn't appeal to me.
Well THIS looks FUN!! Gonna have to check it out and NOT click BUY just yet!! Ooooooo, I would LOVE to see CUSTOM SCX 24'S!! GREAT SHOW SAYLORS, can't wait for next episode!! 💟👍😘
I’m sure a lot of people enjoy it, but for those of us that don’t it would be great to have the option of buying some cool, already painted ones! 👍😁😎⚓️
This seems pricey but kinda like the idea if they add more options. Great videos! We shall not speak of how many coins I’ve dropped on this awesome hobby by the way 😁
It's nice that that is a option but I bought a used vanquish added some rock pirates rails and bed and I would bet it will out crawl that build for half the cost. I enjoy building my own rig but not everyone can do that. Good luck with it and hope you enjoy it wish they would offer more options though. Limited tires didn't see any over or underdrive.
More options is definitely what we are pulling for too. I’m guessing they want to see how this goes, and if it’s worth it maybe adding more options down the road? Really unsure. Solid feedback though, and thanks for watching! 👍😁😎⚓️
When I started in this hobby, RTR did not exist. I find building the vehicle gives better insight on how to maintain, repair and improve it. To date myself, my first hobby grade rc was a Tamiya Subaru Brat controlled by a Futaba FP-2T 2F. No longer have the transmitter, but still have the Brat.
Custom build pricey, but ya get ta get what ya want VS what's offered & then having to purchase upgrades [ if offered ]. Though again ya only get to upgrade with what's offered. Alas it can be an imperfect RC world 🌎 😖😆😆. Good to See the Saylor 🐶 pup 👁. ⚓⚓👍💜💛💚👍🌎😏👍🐶👁💚👍⚓⚓.
Popeye says Hi Stan!! He loves the treats you sent him!! And yeah, although it can be pricey to upgrade like this, some people can have $2,000 - $3,000 in 1/10 builds like this or more!! 😬🤯 Thanks for always being amazing and stopping by! 😎⚓️
For $1200, I would like to have A/C and satellite radio and leather seats in my RC crawler. Or have money for groceries cause there's regular people that are not sponsored by rc's out here
Eh, it is a little pricey but we wanted to see what this was all about. Keep in mind, this is by far BOTH of our Main Hobbies Combined, and we do make sacrifices in other aspects of life to help fund this part of our lives 😁 Thanks for watching! 👍😎⚓️
I would rather not have someone else build me a rig. Ill always build it myself and then I know every part that went into making it, and be proud of my hard work and have alot of sentimental value in the truck.
Creeping up to 400k subs. Xd one little question maybe you have already answered it and I missed it, but have you guys ever thought of getting another dog to be Popeyes buddy? Thx.
Subs grow slowly these days 😅 Maybe we found almost every single RC person out there, lol! But yeah it’s really crazy to think our channel and hobby have grown to what it is today, all the way from 0 years ago! Thanks for supporting that 👍😎 We have considered that in the past, but Popeye doesn’t get along with other dogs very well and loves hanging out with us almost 24/7 so we think he’s a very happy and spoiled little dude. Plus, with our daughter and little baby boy on the way, our hands are FULL!! ⚓️
Pretty cool. I guess but not in my budget to spend $1300 on any 1 rc. I'd rather have 2-3 RTR or rollers and some upgrades my way. And cash still in my wallet. But that's just my opinion and another reason why I don't have xmaxx either. LoL love the rc videos
Airplane transmitters and RC ground vehicle transmitters are very different 😉😁 Would be almost impossible to fly a plane with a truck radio, but a person COULD drive a ground vehicle with an airplane radio I guess, although very awkward. Thanks for watching! 👍😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors my point is you opted not to get the ground transmitter because you have a better ground radio but you got not 1 but 2 super cubs that came with the remote even though you have probably multiple better air radio you could have use
Oh true! We wanted to see if the RTF PA-18 1300mm airplane was a viable trainer option as a RTF set up. RTR ground vehicles and RTF airplanes are so different. Lots of bad RTF airplanes exist, and the reason we got two is because the maiden flight went horribly, so FMS sent us that second one for free 😁⚓️
Call me cheap. Drive my rtr hard and break parts. Replace broken parts with low cost plastic. If the same part breaks more than 2 or 3 times replace with upgrade. Who would drop 1300 for a few upgrade parts on a 400 to 500 dollar crawler. I dont value a wrench turners time to install a part that i can install in a few minutes.
There are a lot of different people with many different lifestyles that enjoy this hobby 😁 That’s one of the Best Parts about RC 👍 Some have more money than time, but want something like this. We have a lot of older viewers with poor dexterity that might not be able to build or wrench on things. Also, there are quite a few handicapped people that use RC to build hand eye coordination. Maybe they want a custom rig but can’t build it themselves! The examples can go on and on, but I do think you are right. I’d say a Majority of people would probably rather build it themselves, if they are able to 😁😎⚓️
No thanks. That cost is insane. Half the fun is learning how to install the parts the other half is driving. I try to get my crawlers and rc slightly used for a big savings.
It’s hilarious that they think that the only reason to buy an existing house is if you lack the knowledge on how to build a house. How about: 1. Constructing a house is far more expensive than buying one that has already been built. 2. Constructing a house likely means you’ll be homeless for the year or so it takes to build. 3. Construction produces significant carbon emissions and waste products. 4. Building a house requires tens of thousands of dollars of tools whereas building an RC car can be done with less than $100 of tools. 5. Building an RC car (which I did several times in the 1990s - Schumacher, Yokomo, Team Associated, Mardave, Tamiya, etc and have done within the last year - Traxxas TRX4) requires only extremely basic screwdriver skills. Building a house requires architects (5+ years of training), civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, envelope engineering, energy engineering, electrical engineering skills which most municipalities require you to be qualified and certified in. TL:DR - building your own house solo doesn’t make sense. Building an RC car is a small step up from Lego.
Pretty sure you missed the joke/ point. The point is mainly that some people are better at certain things than others! A “built for you” feature like this exists for those that can’t or just don’t want to build their own rig. None of what we said about building a house was meant to be taken seriously. I’m honestly surprised I’m having to further explain myself about this, but either way I’m grateful you spent some time with us! Have a Blessed weekend! 👍😁😎⚓️

Hey guys, hope Abbey and the pregnancy doing fair!! cool seeing you all again
I've never not built my own cars, going all the way back to my nitro rc10gt I built when I was in 5th grade.
Very interesting idea, great video covering the process 👍🏼

there are a number of proline bodies that are coloured lexan (black and grey tough bodies)
Ah true! I think we sort of meant with more color/ detail 😁 Would be so cool if they offered that too! 👍😎⚓️
