Wow at 0:27 the building to the left of the kid on the bike is my grandpa's shop he still owns it till this day I'm glad they shot most of the movie in my city it takes me down memory lane. Gotta love Odessa Tx ♥️🇨🇱
I love this movie. I saw it in theaters when i was in my teens. It hit different at the time considering it takes place in an era I didn't grow up in. A couple years later i read the book and it was so hard to put down. I read the bulk of it in like 3 days.

Yea. I think the reason high school football is more passionate is because for one you grew up playing with a lot of your teammates for years so it’s a real close personal brotherhood and also towns socially small towns really really are atleast semi passionate about it, somewhat the talk of the town being football is Americas sport. Also high school football players play very hard in general because a lot of them want a college football scholarship particularly d1 even though many won’t ultimately though and also high school football players like impressing there cheerleaders they’ve known for years as well. I have to admit though real life high school football where I was wasn’t has hardcore as this movie. This movie makes it seem like the whole town including 80 year olds with wives and grown kids just totally worship their local teenage high school football team and that’s all they talk about. It is Hollywood after all. When you’re out of high school football I’d say after five years you finally relize you have you’re whole life ahead of you and it wasn’t as important as you thought being that it’s just another aspect of your entire life. You have marriage, a career, kids to take care of, traveling. It’s interesting how life is.
One of my all time favorite movies and probably the best football movie ever made.
Not gonna lie I cried 4 times during the movie just love soundtrack and it feels like you are there.
