@@bonnie3232well that’s why both the defense and the prosecution will both have a psychologist testify. Because in your scenario who pays for the non biased person ? The state or the defense then they are no longer non biased, that’s why each side usually always has their own experts they choose and the jury weighs the information. It sounds counterproductive but it’s actually the best solutions the courts have for fairness in a trial.

Kids today don’t think of a serious mental health diagnosis as stigmatizing, it’s a way to be cool & means to get attention. It’s easy to answer yes to any question on a screening. Those assessments are supposed to throw in questions to weed out malingering. Had the screening asked if she ever saw little blue men, I guarantee she would’ve said yes. Carly murdered her mother in a cold, calculated way, not in a manic psychosis. She’s a psychopath & needs to spend the rest of her life in prison.

It is highly concerning when a psychiatrist formulates a diagnosis based exclusively on subjective self-reported information, which may result in being misled or manipulated by individuals exhibiting deceptive behaviors, thus compromising the accuracy and validity of the clinical assessment. Such reliance on insufficient or one-sided data may undermine the integrity of the diagnostic process.
