Not my expertise either but seems like a very helpful video for those who are adept with brake conversion. Hope you are back on the road soon after the new brakes. Debbie - BluWave Odyssey
Hi Debbie. It looks like it will still be a while before we can be back camping but it’s all good. We are in a beautiful spot. Thanks for watching and commenting! D&J
Nice work. I liked your rationale for hiding the brake line above the underbelly, because as you said, any road debris or blowout that cuts/opens the line and you lose ALL brakes, not just that tire. However, when running the line to each caliper they are totally exposed, and I'm concerned that a tire blowout will sever that line. I had a tire blowout last fall, and the steel belts from the tire whipping around severed hydraulic lines to our slideouts. I wonder if it would be possible to use some kind of steel braided brake line just for the sections that are exposed?
Good thought but I’m not sure even a steel braided line would survive a blowout. I’ve seen major damage caused to trailers from blowout - a previous trailer of ours included.
Just left you first video, second is just as good going to #3. Thks for posting very informative
Thanks again for watching! D&J
I asked my mechanic about this...and you are superman....
Haha. Thanks! But wait ‘til you see Janice wrenching in Part 3. She is a superwoman! Thanks for watching.
Very informational! Now I know who Kyle will be reaching out to when we get ready to do this! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Really appreciate it. D&J.
