  • I'm so happy I upgraded from the old, worn out factory shocks on my Jeep! These Rough Country shocks made a noticeable difference and were straight-forward to install! It took my friends and I about 3 hours but I'm sure a professional will finish much faster. Let me know if you have any Rough Country lifts or shocks on your vehicles, and thanks for watching!

This is exactly what I wanted to see before replacing my Jeep shocks with RC N3’s. Very helpful. Thanks :) Melissa T.

Better have a ratcheting socket for top shock nut. It’s not fun. You get like half a turn you can make at a time. Doesn’t tell you how tight to get the nut. The rubber spacers are different. One is flat one has a raised smaller center section so you need to know which goes where. Also trying to lay the washer, the bushing and nut on top of hole and get the shock post thru the frame hole and and all those is lil tricky. Don’t mount bottom till you get all that thru the top and nut started. Then you can put the bottom in and use flat head to lift it lil to feed bolt thru. I’m doing mine right now. I didn’t even remove the tire on mine but I have a spacer lift and 35s. The factory nut was different size than the RC nut so make sure you have all the metric wrenches you need.

Getting ready to do this exact install next weekend! I have the spacers kit so we will see what the different will be if any! Great video for reference! I’m glad I’ll be doing it myself too instead of a shop, feels great doing the work yourself and getting to know your jeep!

I wish I knew how to work on my Jeep. I’ve been binge watching all your Jeep videos, and you do an awesome job on your Jeep. It’s hard to find good help these days who knows something about working on vehicles. From one Virginia sister to another, Virginia Girl Power!!!

Just tore out the Steering components, wheel bearings in the front, and sway links. Now I am thinking of these shocks because now that I am not Death Wobbling I can definitely tell mine are trash. - Doc

I just got a lift kit on my JLU. Waaaay too bouncy. Considering adding my factory shocks back on. Only have 6k miles on those. Watching this video makes me want to do this myself.

do the rough country shocks have a welded on nut for tightening, or do they need something like an allen key on top like the blisten shocks?
