You both are the OGs for me. I am two years in to my type 2 diagnosis but you’ve been so helpful! Living in Canada, there’s good doctor health care, but with prescriptions are not covered. Pharmacy in Canada (Alberta) is based off of your employment/provincial healthcare situation (in my experience).

It's really interesting to me how different systems have their pros and cons, and the impact it has on patient care. Thank you for sharing this!

Hi y’all this was an extremely insightful and honest conversation that I deeply appreciate. I am a disability advocate more broadly and this is such an important conversation that often gets left out of our community!❤

Thank you so much! I really love having a diabestie to talk honestly about these topics with. I think a lot of times they get hidden for the sake of comfort, rather an being something we should discuss out loud. I really appreciate you watching/listening to the pod!

It was great to hear from a type 2 person
I feel like everyone talks about type 1 all the time as if that’s the only type that exists sigh

I’m so glad you feel that way! I don’t feel like there are a lot of podcasts about type 2 (though Stacey Simms just launched a great one!). I want to have a place where everyone feels welcome and understood. I think a lot of diabetes topics are put into buckets as if we all don’t experience them, and making space for everyone is a consideration I really try to follow through on. Thanks for noticing!

Do you only offer the service to Americans, or diabetics worldwide?
