Love the video. My Endo was very off putting when I was a prediabetic. She told me to have 50 carbs per meal cut out sugar 😮 drink nothing but water and do 30-45 minutes of exercise a day. I became very depressed and i am a stress eater so of course i am now T2D now. I am still struggling but your videos really help.

@@TheCrissyb31 Enjoy! Even though I have Type 1, I found that this helped balance me out when taken before meals. The difference in my after meal numbers was really solid!

@@TheHangryWoman That's awesome. I have been told I was pre-diabetic and then told I'm type 2..most times I'm confused as to which I really am. My numbers usually range from 99 to 112...A1C 5.4 and I'm not on insulin...just Ozempic. But being that I have a muscle condition and heard that Ozempic can affect muscles I don't think it will be good long term. Singrid seems like a better option.

I swear to god people will do literally anything besides low carb. Its disgusting that people wanna try to sell drugs to people so they can keep their unhealthy lifestyle. I helped reverse my parents type 2 diabetes through a carnivore diet. Taking a GLP-1 agonist is an extremely awful idea for those with diabetes because even if it helps with weight loss its been shown through clinical trials that a significant amount of the weight lost is from lean muscle mass, making diabetes management worse. Not to mention the myriad of issues that they can cause to gut health and how much this can wreck your hormones.

First, food restriction is not sustainable for everyone. AMAZING that you were able to help your parents. But, needs are bioindividual, and sometimes folks can't sustain that way of eating. It's no knock on them. As a person with type 1 diabetes and a nutritionist, I would not ever tell people that diabetes management is one-size-fits-all and there's one way to go about it. That simply isn't true.
As a nutritionist, the biggest thing I tell my clients is that adopting habits like more movement, lowering stress, checking blood sugars ALONGSIDE the way you balance your place is incredibly important.
BUT, there are also tools out there. It doesn't mean it's the option for everyone, and it doesn't mean that people are lazy.
Because you can only manage with what is sustainable for *you*.
