I am in my 70’s and for me the dresses may be better suited for a younger person, but I do love and appreciate you Marnie. I especially like your Chico choices which may be a style better for me. Those trouser jeans are hands down the best thing I have discovered on your channel.

I’m not a fan of the short baby doll dresses. I don’t care for them on anyone. I think eyelet is wearable (even short) if there are some tailored features. I agree with you about the maxi blue tiered dress. It’s lovely.
Hemming pants/trousers is very easy - something we should all learn to do. If sewing isn’t your thing - ask your dry cleaner if they offer this service. Alterations might be costly but can make an outfit. As a true petite (5 feet tall) I hem many garments. I recently purchased a pleather moto jacket - but the sleeves were too long. I spent nearly as much to have the tailor shorten them as I did for the jacket. I love the jacket, feel great in it and wear it often!
Yes, I am a sewist but sometimes engage a tailor for the tasks I dread. 😊
I agree. I get my pants hemmed at the cleaners for about $18 and it's well worth it. Sometimes I hem them myself. Just need an iron, a ruler or inch tape, straight pins, and needle and thread.
My truly petite friends swear by a good tailor for most things, and I agree. I just need to go do it! I can't even sew on a button but thankfully I do have someone who is great at alterations.
Agree with those who said the last two were a little childish. Not terrible but many better options.

I agree with the other comments regarding the last dress. When I was 9 or 10, I had a pink striped nightgown similar to that dress. I did like most of the other outfits though.

I think that the last two dresses are adorable! I think we should be able to wear what makes us happy! I am older than you and definitely would wear both of them. Everyone is different and that is what makes life interesting.
Last dress has summer sleep dress vibes. Great for when the kids drop by for morning coffee. Great for watering flowers first thing in the morning too.

My shopping mantra: if you don’t LOVE it at the store (or if ordering online, first time trying it on at home) chances are you won’t like it enough to wear it.
Because when you are getting dressed for errands or lunch with friends etc you’re more likely to reach for something you are comfortable or excited to wear. Not something you have to think about “I’m not sure about it. Or maybe with a tank, maybe a belt?” Return it and wear any of the other outfits.

Sooo glad you’re coming around to Talbots. I wear their jeans only. I’m spoiled by them. Nothing else fits me as well. Especially on the first try. Their sizing stays consistent. On the last dress. I think it would be much better with flats. It’s very short. It’s almost “juniors sizing” short. Looks nothing like the Candy Stripers uniforms I’ve seen.

My favorite white jeans are from Talbots! I only started buying their jeans about seven years ago, they fit and hold up well! Chicos no-iron linen is fabulous, and they have great white jeans as well! Great video, nice to see real fashion that I would wear from stores where I actually shop.

Finally went to Maurice’s to try on the olive utility pant. OMG- these are amazing. I live in the Southwest and these are the perfect fabric for here. They lay so pretty on the body and are really comfortable, I encourage everyone to check these out. Could not recommend them enough. Marnie, I really have to recommend Wal-Mart's men section for great graphic tees. I have found quite a few recently (In Store!) and have been pleasantly surprised. I bought a Def Leppard one that's printed front and back, Foreigner and John Denver to name a few.
I always forget about their men's section!

I don't think the pink seersucker dress looks like a candy striper. It's stripes are more narrow and more pastel than a candy striper uniform. I think it's lovely and perfect for spring.
