Does the 30 min rule require 30 min uninterrupted or can it involve multiple exercises and sets?

I walk hills 4 days a week with big arm swings. I still work so it’s difficult to get to classes and walking out my front door makes it quick. I also go to a rock steady boxing class once a week. Does that work? Or do I need to change it up? I can easily add 2 more walk days. Thanks

That’s my issue too. My feet starting hurting during off periods. I found a video of hers for ankle, feet and toe pain. I think it’ll really help. Gonna get a yoga strap and ball for the exercises.

I used to walk 10 miles a week, but walking is becoming difficult. My leg muscles have become tight. Especially my hamstrings.
What home equipment would be helpful?

You mentioned in your presentation an example of what doesn't work i.e. bicep curls to improve general PD symptoms. I've started doing my dumbbell exercises while standing on a Wobble Wooden Balance Board and increment it till I can accomplish the exercise with my eyes closed. It's very challenging. Your thoughts and wood it require 30 minutes straight to get maximum benefit?

What about playing golf? I walk 18 holes and it takes 3-4 hours with a lot of thinking.

Golf is good! It's a way to stay active. It can definitely be part of your program (doing that thing you love) but should be balanced out with aerobics and PD specific movements throughout your week. Thanks for the question Madison!

Should our exercise time be more about specific movements rather than keeping up an increased heartrate for 30 min?

Hi Ron! Try incorporating Parkinson's specific movements as much as you can. If you're unsure on what those are, you can download the free checklist I created by following this link: www.invigoratept.com/blog/7elements
