The only thing more depressing than an abandoned theme park...one being disassembled...all the fun, magic, thrills, lights, fantasy and sometimes even romance has come to an end, and by morning it'll just be another empty lot again, love this vid (we had an annual carnival in my home town and it was always a bummer went it went away, unless of course it was in front of your house in which case having em pack up and leave was a relief, ha ha)
I am always concerned when i see carnival rides that do not have the lighting package maintained. That is a sign of trouble comin. And yes, holy crap! The gantry crane is in dire need of some help!!! However. Still VERY COOL to see how the rides deploy and rack!!
I'm curious: why does the Sky Diver operator cycle through a bunch of cars instead of just moving one car up at a time during disassembly? Do they have to be dismantled in a particular order?
It's exactly keeping the wheel balanced. If you if went one car and then the next, and the next in a row, there would be too much weight on one side of the wheel. Does that answer your question?

The scary this is it just nuts and bolts that hold it all together and it down to a human to make sure they are fitted properly!!!!

I would imagine it has to do with keeping the load on the wheel balanced.
