Walcom, please don't look down barrels. Especially if it's as heavily modded as that, and could easily shatter your eyeglasses, assuming you have one of those accurate darts or an FVJ in the barrel.

Please never actually melee someone with that blade, it's in no way safe for full contact sparring of any kind. You should never use or advocate the use of any boffer that has a tip that small because it can easily blind someone, this is why all full contact foam combat (dag/bel/amt/etc) mandates a minimum tip width.
It's funny you mention that because I bring it up in the video and even the guy who ran my local amptgarde group says it's fine because it's such a short blade there's no worries about it ever sliding up and hitting someone in the face.
You know, not that anyone would be EVER PLAYING NERF WITHOUT EYE PROTECTION.
That guy isn't in line with Amtgard rulings on the subject. It's not a rule that has any allowed wiggle room, if you don't have the right tip width you should never be allowed to let the weapon onto the field, I'm sorry he gave you poor advice but he did. Everyone should Nerf with eyepro but it's not standard or required across many superstock groups.
ORLaN: Oregon LARP and Nerf No, I didn't mean that this would be amtgarde legal. I'm saying that even a guy who checks that kind of stuff said it's safer than things he's seen on the field.
And I've never, EVER seen a group who doesn't use eyepro. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Especially with Super Stock. That should be 100% mandatory at every game.
