Holy crap, that thing turned out better than I could've expected! I admit I was initially a bit skeptical of the black paintjob, but this wears it well. Excellent balance of color. I was hoping you'd go for some LEDs, as the Crossbolt shell really lends itself well to backlighting. I'm also glad you were able to get that auto kit to fit in there. That really sets the blaster to a higher level. Awesome work, man. It's a thing of beauty. I'm glad you liked the style of it enough to bring it up to its full potential.
Bob Birdsong That's because the Hyperfire has a ton of problems due to the flywheel cage and the runaway from the conveyor dart feeding makes it kinda useless to mod. That's why you see integrations with it. It's great stock though.
There are two things I don't like about this blaster: 1. I don't have one. 2: The flared magwell. It looks a little odd to me. Just personal preference I guess. Overall Excellent work bringing this thing up several leagues Walcom. I really dig that paint scheme
WalcomS7 Yeah I understand it's use, I just don't personally like them. You are right, it does break the black up a bit, which I hadn't actually considered. Overall this is a very nice mod mate, I commend the work you put into it, it looks and functions great
Woah, this is gorgeous. Amazing job both of you! That jam door is brilliant. I think a yellow LED tube would have been a bit easier to work with though. Hold up, why the hell are you using Catchfires on the pusher mech? That is an easy way for this thing to burn up on a jam. Get some IMRs on this thing man.
+The Zachvolt An optimized singled Titan can hit velocities around that neighborhood. Optimized drain blasters can reportedly push around 600~ FPS. Some Super Soakers can do similar or possibly better.
Foam data services kinda went off about canted flywheels. Canted flywheels are technically more accurate because of the brass follower (without it, the darts are almost guaranteed to whirlybird at 100+ fps). It's nothing you messed up, it's just the nature of the cage. With the artifact red cage, your are sacrificing a little accuracy for higher velocities because of the fact that the dart does not have to jump through all the hoops that canted flywheels do (internal bouncing in the brass and increased friction of the off angle flywheels). Side note, I remember seeing that integration on instagram and loved it. Seeing you put your spin on the cosmetics was a sight to see. It really boosted its aesthetic factor. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see what you do next.
Another amazing mod, Walcom. I never thought about topping off the Crossbolt magazine while it was still in the blaster -- that's brilliant! One thing I'm worried about, though, is the size of the stock... the Crossbolt stock was always too short for me.
Amazing job. It looks awesome and I can tell your paint jobs have drastically improved. The led's look great, and the magnetic jam door is a great idea.
The bro-mancing intensifies but seriously that looks super cool. I'm not really a foam flinger myself but I do love seeing the technical side keep up the good work man!
I think today, I'm gonna a watch bunch of older build videos. It's encouraging to see how far we've come. And seeing all these old builds helps reveal whether or not some of my own ideas are actually new. MrScott54, BionicBlasters 😎🤓🤠
This is one of my all time favorite builds. Kudos foam brother. Also, stop suggesting folks dislike for any reason. You obviously work hard on your builds and vids, no reason to even suggest it. Own it.
Very awesome! I had the idea of doing this back when the crossbolt first came out so it's awesome to see someone bring it to life. Also, have you thought about a way to prevent the crossbolt mag well from releasing the mag accidentally? I as well as others have noticed at times the mag release button will press up against your shoulder and release the mag. Some place a piece of pvc pipe there or a piece of polycarbonate to prevent it from being pressed.
Have you ever considered using EL wire/tape/plates for those internal lights rather than LEDs? EL stuff tends to get a more diffuse glow and generally looks nicer if you're trying to get even lighting.
I know it would affect their balance but with all the clear and translucent flywheel covers nowadays I'd like to see LEDs on the flywheels so you can watch them spin
Fit a flashlight led in the front that you can control on/off with a small switch just like your other light work. Then you don't have to add on a bulky torch for night games
First three notes of your music, I thought you were playing "Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who. Regardless, I must still commend you on your great taste in soundtracks.
I love these mods, and will do one when I get a spare crossbolt. I just hate how short the crossbolt stock is, I'm a tall guy and how close in I have to pull it is a pain. I will look at how to extend the stock on mine, either by sacrificing either a Recon, Praxis or Longshot or even a Long Strike stock. The Long Strike stock might made it too long however if I keep the mag holders.
Maybe a Bi-pod that doubles as a grip and maybe a drum that also goes through that back well that holds and fires mega darts through the whole gun? Maybe a mod addition like that'll make it better?
Holy crap .... that almost my exact gun .... little different front end and jam door . And mine is just full auto with a dart counter ... But same battery door and a very close paint job to ... I kinda freaked out when I saw the thumbnail .tell I took a closer look
That's a rapid strike pusher... JEBUS! Is that beats machine hitting 200fps? Honestly, we need to make the Stryfe-Bolt a thing. It would look fucking beautiful with a Whiteout style paint scheme.
Stock Flywheel cages are OK, but they have no motor mounting screw ports, relying on friction fit, and of course, are built to toy grade tolerances. Artifact Cages are the cheapest excluding shipping, although prices can vary the lowest is just over $15 minus shipping and the flywheels. If you can get the non-truncated flywheels meant for the red cage, you can expect over 140 FPS consistently with Koosh. They can be more expensive out of resellers, though, Tacticool Foam has them for $33, which puts them around the price of other aftermarket FWCs. BSP cages are canted and made out of polyurethane. will have a lead time of about a month before shipping and are more expensive, although Hawki's a busy guy, can't blame him, and are canted. They go for $35 currently, and the brass guide is optionally included. A DRS cage is subjectively the prettiest of the bunch, but also significantly more expensive than other options - going for 70 Euros off the DRS webstore, about 75 dollars. The flywheels are proprietary, brass guide included. However, results seem a bit mixed about the FPS numbers they push, with some people chrono'ing them as high as 151 FPS, whereas other people have them shooting just under 100 FPS (with Blade 180s, so don't blame the motors). I wouldn't sweat that too much when making your decision though. There is a 3D printed option if you don't feel like breaking your wallet, but a canted Artifact cage is cheaper or roughly the same price, and is aluminum. Personally, I would recommend a red Artifact cage, I'm not a big fan of canted cages. Darts are drag stabilized projectiles, and bullets are not, so it's questionable if they really work. A brass guide is necessary to make them not spin darts out and the brass itself may be increasing the accuracy, so it's difficult to test.
BSP cage I'm still testing as the one in the Paradigm Shift seems to chrony pretty low, the Artifact Cage seems very promising (in fact that was the one that, "broke" the glass ceiling on single stage flywheel fps). The point of the cages is mounting motors or imparting spin, but the jury is on the fence if the spin is what makes things accurate or it's just the follower barrel. Right now I suggest trying the Artifact Red cage with Smooth flywheels if you can manage it.
well you sold me on a crossbolt now walcom, guess im putting the quadrayven on hold a while longer if you wanted to, theres a guy on the chinese ebay that sells a select fire kit for the stryfe
to get the near the 140 fps you will probably need to sets of flywheels just like rob did on his beast trudgeon, great job and i love that hidden feature just like the quick 16 i am going to have to make one of those myself, i still have not bought any lipos and i am stuck like i do not want a really fast rate of of fire and i want awesome performance but if i get a 3s lipo i can not use 130 motors, well i guess id niot not know help me out if you can, and the biggest thing that is holding be back from buying a lipo is that i read and heard that you are not using it for more than a day then you have to store it a 50 percent charge, so it would really help if you can do a video on how to take care of them and store them, the i will finally join the lipo master race.
It is a good combination of fandoms. Skills in Gunpla do translate over to Nerf modding very well, be it shell integrations, scratch building, or wiring.
Oh, and Walcom, I have a question. If he gave that to you, is there a way you can buy guns from him? Who is he? And where would I look to get something like this.
I always love watching mods i love how they look but the one thing i dont like is the loud noise they make when firing is there a way to muffle or completely eliminate the noise completely
The Jase3D Printed Extended Battery door for one. The full auto kit hits but I had to dremel the inside rather thin. The batteries for the full-auto kit are behind it near the rear magwell. I'll have a overview video soon.
Awesome work, man. It's a thing of beauty. I'm glad you liked the style of it enough to bring it up to its full potential.
I did my absolute best on it. I'm glad you approve.
Mister Nathan and walcoms7, you guys are my heros
Banana
Crap, now I have to try to work on something completely different...
WalcomS7 It s the best nerf of the world !! btw does chaylo have a youtube channel?
You could experiment with the Hyperfire a bit. Not seen any mods fro it, really.
What darts did you run through the chrono BTW? If they were voberries or something else heavy then I wouldn't be too surprised to see an FPS drop.
Flygonial Ascendant Yeah you're right, it was FVJs.
Bob Birdsong That's because the Hyperfire has a ton of problems due to the flywheel cage and the runaway from the conveyor dart feeding makes it kinda useless to mod. That's why you see integrations with it. It's great stock though.
Ad an undermounted titan! The titan makes everything 140% better
Michael Jones how
No, it ruins the sleekness
There are two things I don't like about this blaster: 1. I don't have one. 2: The flared magwell. It looks a little odd to me. Just personal preference I guess. Overall Excellent work bringing this thing up several leagues Walcom. I really dig that paint scheme
I happened to like the Flared Magwell as it makes reloading a bit quicker and it breaks up the black just a bit more.
WalcomS7
Yeah I understand it's use, I just don't personally like them. You are right, it does break the black up a bit, which I hadn't actually considered. Overall this is a very nice mod mate, I commend the work you put into it, it looks and functions great
DeltaWolf1000 me too I like it perfectly but there's one thing I hate. I don't have it and they don
T sell it
this blaster with the best stuff (3s 180 hellcats)30.000 views
coops strayven without even rewire 800.000 views wtf
this deserves more likes and views
And he just used IMRs
@@Cringemoment4045 yeah but their easier to use rather than lipos but stryven are just wasteful
@@idontknow154 IMRs the best performance you can get is 100
@@Cringemoment4045 ok
@@idontknow154 lipo you can get 200-300
You know a blaster is powerful WHEN IT FUCKING BLOWS AIR
It's my new hairdryer!
yes
Love it. Same basic internals as the Stryfe I made, which hits nice. The bodywork, though, holy shit that is gorgeous.
*laughs in lipo*
This is one of the few nerf guns that need a safety on it. It looks like it can kill a man.
Error Error I have seen that one before. And your right, Its pretty dangerous.
In terms of feet per second, there is actually a 450 FPS nerf gun...450.
It makes the Titan look like a toy made for babies.
+The Zachvolt
An optimized singled Titan can hit velocities around that neighborhood. Optimized drain blasters can reportedly push around 600~ FPS. Some Super Soakers can do similar or possibly better.
You killed it man! Amazing blaster and mods. Love the overkill LEDs. Because we want to! Props my guy much love fam

When the flywheels blow pieces of cardboard when you turn them on... you know you did something right

i love the bromance you have going with Chaylo.
ayy, Angry orchard!
oh and the blaster is epic too, this is the best use of a crossbolt shell I've seen.
For the rear-loading slot, you can have it like that on normal Crossbolts by simply removing the dart-requiring slide lock.
One of the few mods that is not only amazing, but also practical! Practicool!
Great Job, wonderfully edited.
Walcom I congratulate you on your choice of beverage
Have you ever considered using EL wire/tape/plates for those internal lights rather than LEDs? EL stuff tends to get a more diffuse glow and generally looks nicer if you're trying to get even lighting.
Yeah it'd probably be a little bit easier too. The real answer is more LEDs but I'm running out of space.
I know it would affect their balance but with all the clear and translucent flywheel covers nowadays I'd like to see LEDs on the flywheels so you can watch them spin
But how would you wire them? You would need batteries non the flywheels or something similar.
5:44 has a flair but still misses the magwell, great advertisement
holy fuck, i didnt realize i watched this video before and was about to comment this but then i saw my original comment
Been wondering where this majesty went since you got this in the mail
WalcomS7' s face when he gets a face full of ricocheted darts....
Walcom, you should really bring on Chaylo as a guest host at least once a month. He's such an awesome person!
As long as he would come over. I still need help with the Fuzzy Walrus Home Shopping Network.

This almost looks like a borderlands smg for NERF's sake.
But that fire power and fire rate... hot damn.
i think it looks better than a stryfe/ rayven Integration....i like it.
The only complaint I have about this blaster is that I don't have one. That is amazing.

Maybe a Bi-pod that doubles as a grip and maybe a drum that also goes through that back well that holds and fires mega darts through the whole gun? Maybe a mod addition like that'll make it better?
Wayne Igoe for the bi-pod you can use the stampede grip and for the mega dart construction... Well... That won't work
This is probably the best nerf blaster ever created.

3:32 badass overload lol
What the point of an artifact cage and canted or non canted flywheels?
It's not modular. No stock point (obviously) but I see no reason why it doesn't have a front attachment point.
I don't like them. Almost every single blaster I build lacks a stock and barrel attachment point.
So how many times have you slept with it?
What are the differences of the Artifact Cage vs. Stock, BSP and Snikkas cages. On top of that which cages would you recommend.
What would be a good size spring to put in a mavetik?
Ooh, now you should put NEO hellcats into it.
I'm a bit confused, how does the cross bolt take more effort to integrate than a rayven?
dalton stewart rayven is already open to wiring or something(I'm talking out my ass)

if your looking for more FPS try an aurora cage from OFP and Inferno flywheels from OOD that should get you at least 160's if not higher

No, unless you use a springer.
How did u fit a lipo with the full auto kit when it surposed to use da stock battery tray
The Jase3D Printed Extended Battery door for one. The full auto kit hits but I had to dremel the inside rather thin. The batteries for the full-auto kit are behind it near the rear magwell. I'll have a overview video soon.
