Why do people always talk about clips as an incorrect term for a mag. It's not just not the same as a mag, but it exists. The video literally explained it very clearly.

Yeah but clips and mags irl work differently like in Nerf and obviously have different systems. Only difference is that irl clips are just simple pieces of metal that just hold ammunition together, but mags are the exact same.
Dryfiring is just shooting your blaster unloaded, so without any ammo. Dryfiring can negatively affect the blaster depending on it's potential energy, because obviously things wear out when you use them too much. If you dryfire a blaster with a lot of power for a while, it will basically be slamming power into itself without shooting ammo, so it will just wear itself out and break eventually because it's a strong blaster. This problem is really only for powerful blasters, but like I said anything can wear out if you use it enough. It's just not something you really have to watch out for if you have a normal blaster. Also sorry I'm a year late but I wanted to explain anyways.

one really useful thing i do to prevent jams with magazines is putting some double sided tape on the top of the mags where the bullets come out. since the spring sometimes "overfeeds" and causes the gun to jam, double sided tape is non stick and extremely convenient to use

Clips, holds the ammo waiting for the 'firearm' to handle the rest. Magazine, holds ammo AND is part of the feeding process of the ammo. I think thats a quick, easy and (hopefully) correct way of sorting it. (At least its what I use)

Dryfiring is just shooting your blaster unloaded, so without any ammo.
