My hair is EXTREMLY hard to brush while wet. This is due to damage from bleach and mybhair is also very fine. I find that its easier to brush dry with the not comb. I have been able to dislodge many nits BUT I keep hearing it should be done wet. I have been treating my hair for 5 days. I'm not sure if it's my comb or just my hair but the comb will only pull through my hair dry.
I have tried using coconut oil and detangler but it is still difficult. Is combing dry ok? I have been picking up nits every day and every day there are less and less.
Have you tried wet hair with conditioner on the ends? The wet combing will always pull more nits that dry combing which allows you to glide over the nits and not "catch" them in the comb. But ANY combing with a good nit comb (we suggest the Terminator) is better than no combing at all.
@@scapuzello it turns out that the plastic comb is absolute trash!!! I bought the terminator and....OMG. What a difference. I have been sleeping with olive oil smothered in my hair with a shower cap in and when I wake in the morning, i immediately start combing. SO EASY. I was hesitant at first and though it was my hair just being EXTREMELY stubborn but it was the plastic comb lol
@@scapuzello I have been diligently combing once a day and so far I have been not free for a week! That comb is EVERYTHING. My sister has two girls in daycare and I told her GO BUY IT. There is not much that could compare to it! I comb through with olive oil and so far since my first treatment I have had no live lice. I still have not found any live ones as I'm combing through and making sure to check the comb every single pass because I'm doing it on myself and can not see the back portion of my head. There are times I feel a tickle on my head and I flip out a little. I have to calm myself and remind myself that O am doing my best and combing when I should and how I should. I still have bites on my head that are healing because I was scratching so much I made myself scab. I do not have anymore active bite marks or itching so I know that is good. I feel like I will forever have a phobia of lice now. I almost feel like I am making myself crazy with this. I know it will pass though and I'm fortunate that it was just lice and not something far worse.
ive never had lice but i don’t know if i’m too paranoid where something triggers my brain and makes my head a little itching in some parts or if i actually have it. i recently dyed my hair blue and it’s pretty dark and i can’t really see anything in my hair at all and idk if i’m just paranoid because lice of one of my biggest fears or if i actually do have it. will the lice treatment shampoo and spray take out my hair color? will mayonnaise take out my hair color???? please someone respond
I am not an expert on hair color. I DO know that neither Permethrin based over the counter treatment or mayonnaise will be very effective. They may kill some bugs (50% or less) but will have no effect at all on the eggs. If you are really concerned go to a professional and get a real head check. These are usually performed at a low cost $10-$25 and then you will have a definitive answer.
(sorry i cant spell bc im on my laptop) head really itchi"s and it feel"s really nasty and when i was itching my hair something fell and started to move. this happend two time! i got lice before when i was younger it did bother me. but it really dose since im older

@@Malroids Oh yes, we only suggest Terminator nit combs. They are by far superior to any of those plastic kit combs. Glad you had an easier time!

I knew that combing your hair wet is better because the internet doesn't help at all
