I was diagnosed by a nurse practitioner that I have genital herpes, but I don't have any of these symptoms... I think she misdiagnosed me. She also took a quick look at my lesion and just just said I had herpes because it looked similar to others... I did take a urine test and will take a blood test next week, so hopefully its not something severe.
@@lilneets5141 she was right lmao. I felt the symptoms a few days later, but apparently 1 in 6 adults have genital herpes and the one thing I was worried about is if I can spread it through saliva. It only spreads through direct skin contact so I'm good there. I'm just going to be more aware of any outbreaks and stay away from any intercourse. I feel like I got away lucky, yeah its not treatable and it sucks but the pills were 7 bucks and treated me.

I wish I had seen this video years ago when trying to self diagnose what I now know is HSV-II. Using google and hearing stories about herpes made it sound so much worse than what I was going through, but this guys descriptions are spot on accurate. I know I got it around 2009-2010 so it’s been too long ago to remember the pain but now, 15 years later, they show up either once a year, or once every two years, and are gone almost as soon as they start, so they definitely get less severe and less frequent over time (in case anyone is just getting them and worried) feel free to ask me anything. 😊

@ nah, I actually think this guy summed it up perfect in the video; if you press on, or squeeze them then it’ll hurt. @@brittanyb5942 i'm a bit confused with what i have. i get these blisters on the skin that connects between my penis and the bladder area skin. they happen very randomly and sometimes i don't see them at all. these blisters when they show up, yes they turn black and i think they ooze out fluid and all the signs of herpes. but here's the thing. they almost never show up on the same spot. sometimes it's right side, sometimes left side, sometimes even on my sking above the penis.. but usually around my penis at the start of the skin that connects to my penis. over past month, i don't know but i got it 3x and they usually heal in less than a week. the one i got before 1 week was behind my penis (skin connecting to my scrotum), that was a bit extreme this time.. wasn't painful that much but it feels like an open wound and it left me a white scar. and yesterday i noticed very small few ones on top of my penis on right side. i very rarely get anything on my penis... it's usually like i said the skin that connects to my penis (the very start - before the penile shaft). but anyways.. in general they're never painful.. sometimes i don't even notice they are there.. but i do notice when i don't shave down there.. it happens.. i noticed that correlation. i've had a lot of unprotected sex.. a lot. does it mean i have herpes or? i'm scared to get tested

I just got a culture done as it appears I’m having an outbreak. I will note that I hurt myself about 1.5mo prior to this situation and I think that trauma in my Gina having a tare and all which literally I felt it completely heal end of last week. I was diagnosed by a nurse practitioner that I have genital herpes, but I don't have any of these symptoms... I think she misdiagnosed me. She also took a quick look at my lesion and just just said I had herpes because it looked similar to others... I did take a urine test and will take a blood test next week, so hopefully its not something severe.

It only spreads through direct skin contact so I'm good there. I'm just going to be more aware of any outbreaks and stay away from any intercourse. I feel like I got away lucky, yeah its not treatable and it sucks but the pills were 7 bucks and treated me.

I wish I had seen this video years ago when trying to self diagnose what I now know is HSV-II. Using google and hearing stories about herpes made it sound so much worse than what I was going through, but this guys descriptions are spot on accurate. I know I got it around 2009-2010 so it’s been too long ago to remember the pain but now, 15 years later, they show up either once a year, or once every two years, and are gone almost as soon as they start, so they definitely get less severe and less frequent over time (in case anyone is just getting them and worried) feel free to ask me anything. 😊

@ nah, I actually think this guy summed it up perfect in the video; if you press on, or squeeze them then it’ll hurt. The first outbreak was worst for me but even then, I just thought it was scabies or some kind of skin reaction.
But that’s why I think I, along with many others, never thought to get checked BECAUSE of how mild they were. I feel like in health class/sex education that they made them seem horrible; like huge extremely painful blisters that burst open and bleed, etc. I think the only annoying thing now is that when they do show up, they are itchy.

@@brittanyb5942 i'm a bit confused with what i have. i get these blisters on the skin that connects between my penis and the bladder area skin. they happen very randomly and sometimes i don't see them at all. these blisters when they show up, yes they turn black and i think they ooze out fluid and all the signs of herpes. but here's the thing. they almost never show up on the same spot. sometimes it's right side, sometimes left side, sometimes even on my sking above the penis.. but usually around my penis at the start of the skin that connects to my penis. over past month, i don't know but i got it 3x and they usually heal in less than a week. the one i got before 1 week was behind my penis (skin connecting to my scrotum), that was a bit extreme this time.. wasn't painful that much but it feels like an open wound and it left me a white scar. and yesterday i noticed very small few ones on top of my penis on right side. i very rarely get anything on my penis... it's usually like i said the skin that connects to my penis (the very start - before the penile shaft).
but anyways.. in general they're never painful.. sometimes i don't even notice they are there.. but i do notice when i don't shave down there.. it happens.. i noticed that correlation.

I just got a culture done as it appears I’m having an outbreak. I will note that I hurt myself about 1.5mo prior to this situation and I think that trauma in my Gina having a tare and all which literally I felt it completely heal end of last week. I read that if there’s Trauma down there it can trigger an outbreak it doesn’t necessarily have to happen from sexual contact within 2-5 days after ‘exposure.’ You can hurt yourself and after your body has completed healing and utilizing your bodies resources to heal the trauma your stuff is like… guess we’re in the clear to have an outbreak now.
