I have the 800 LX. I just bought it not too long ago after my first set died after 6 years. I had tried the Turtle Beach 700s, they were good, but nothing like my RIG's.

Only issue with the Lx is you only get 2 years dolby atmos. The Hx comes with a lifetime. And i think the Lx doesnt come with the base xharger right?
I'm glad you Have bought rig 4 hundreds for 2 or 3 years. The one time I changed brands I've returned it And started using my old 4 hundreds again because they were better than what I thought I was upgrading. So I've never upgraded or switched But no one you have the same love For this headset that I did for the 4 hundreds makes me more confident

I've been using my rig 800s for quite a minute now I absolutely love them I feel they're quite comfortable! Although I do have to mention that sometimes the ear cushion can slip off and my first pair after extended use my microphone completely broke however the ones I have now seem to do okay so I'm happy with them considering they're only around $150 my brother purchase some turtle beaches for like $300 or $250 and they completely messed up! So I do recommend this brand!👍🔥🤘🔥

They are great headphones the only complaint I have is they are super low in volume even when I have it on max gaming volume in comparison to the other headsets that I have used in the past

I had the 800lx for about 5 years and I loved them even when they started getting buggy ( had to manually connect them every time) but my dog ate them outta no where. Than the endless search of headsets began and I decided to just upgrade to the 800 pro hx and so far I think there great for Warzone/ fps games also music sounds great and you alr about the comfort 11/10 in comfort

So the reason for the clip style from the ear piece to the band, if anyone's wondering is to increase durability. If you sit on it for example it'll pop out instead of breaking. And if it's like the older models which I'm sure it is, the wire is a micro usb going into each ear piece so it'll unplug before ever ropping the wire. I've had the same rig 600's for the last 6 years. And I just ordered these for 100 bucks (cyber Monday deal) because the battery only lasts about 3-4 hours now. Love RIG and refuse anything else

I'm only disappointed that you didn't test out the CHAT MIXER my guy... I've just taken the headset back to EB GAMES to have an exchange to a later version of the same model and I'm still having the same GD issue of not being able to cut out the VOICE chat, the mixer will cut the GAME chat, but when the dial is all the way to game chat, it DOES NOT cut out the party chat!! . . . Yes, I'm MAD MAD.

After getting the Series X I went to play some rainbow six siege and hook up my Astros but there was no optic port. I was stunned for a good minute. 2022 and they are taking things away from the consoles. So at this point I'm now in a panic trying to switch my TV and soundboard from optic to eARC just so I can use the single optic port for the series X audio through either the TV or sound bar.
Came across this RIG headset at Walmart for the series X so I figured I'll check out a review and possibly give these a try before having to rearrange my entire home theater.

I have the O.G rig 800lx I bought them back in 2018 and they are STILL solid so I don't understand what the difference is between the lx and the hx. To me it looks like they just did a reboot on the headset and gave it a base station and a better dongle so I don't think I'm going to buy this pair anytime soon but I will when my lx's break but I don't see that happening anytime soon either.
personally i like the adjustment on the rigs because i have issues with things being straight and even and with the rig i know its tsraight and even so i dont fidget
Just got this since it works on my PC/ps5 and I just picked up a Xbox one X used, my Corsair hs80 is great but my mic has been failing me, this headset has been doing great so far

This headset almost had me but the things that immediately stood out is the "blend" type volume wheel for game and chat... My preference I've discovered is having both separate, there is never; in my mind a perfect balance without controlling both seperate. The next was the quality of the microphone, it sounds too light and tinny... I think at 12 mins in I'm already a no go on this one. Thanks for the great video still of course! 😊👍

@@dirtycasper I got the turtle beach stealth 700 Gen 2. I knew I wanted it since I have the Gen 1 already. Really liking the Gen 2 right away. As long as the battery holds up. My Gen 1 pooped out on the battery. Everything is still intact if it weren't for the battery dying
There are 2 separate volume dials on the headset. There's the game/chat balance up top then the overall game volume below the power switch. That's what I've seen a lot of other companies do and it works well. Overall this is a great headset at the price
I'm getting rid of my Astro A30s because the game/chat volume control is so awful. I'd much rather have a wheel like this. But I know what you're saying about having them be seperate levels
I play pc and prefer how it dials into my pc volume. Without the infinite dial it wouldn't be able to do this, so me personally I love this
Purchased the a40s and hate that they don’t come with the adjustable volume wheel. Will be trying these though. I like the fact the have that on the headset instead of having to bring up the Xbox volume settings menu. Nice review & you’ve earned my sub!

@JoshDlow23 yeah I have the a40 tr with the mixamp. Yeah it was expensive when I first bought it I think I paid 249. But it's worked for both my ps4 and my ps5 and still works great. Game audio is amazing, mic is great. I hear footsteps most people can't on fps. Great investment. How do you like the rigs? I need a new headset for my Xbox and my brother seems to love his. Just hate spending half the price of a console on a headset if it's not going to last 5-10 years.

7:14 So it DOES come with USB C? lol... I had the Rig 800XL which had good sound with an EQ button with a couple of EQ presets. Looking at upgrading as the XL ear muff pads are worn and keep falling off the headset. Have had the XL for 3 years. Might upgrade to the 800 Pro HX since I have a custom desktop pc, and an Xbox Series X which I'm hardly on. Selling my Steelseries Arctis 700 as the sound is flat with too high treble, even the 800XL sounds better.
How soft are the ear cups compared to the original 800?

I have got a GoXLR Mini and it works fine wireless. Just have to route 3,5mm from the mixer to the PC line in and mic and then set settings in windows to listen to correct sources. However, I do not think Dolby Atmos seem to work when having it connected to the GoXLR. It does not recognize it.
I have the 800 Pro HX, but can't seem to get it to power on. Do these come with no charge what so ever? I have it charging right now and light is red, how long would it need to charge first time?
Yo, I absolutely love these headphones. I have 800 (HX) Although twice now, I've been disconnected from Dolby and lost all game audio in my headset. Still had the narrator telling me "headset on" and all that and can also hear the parameters being reached when I volume up and down. Has anyone had this similar issue or could lead me in the right direction? On Xbox Series X. Also, when I got to volume setting and tried to click Dolby, it said i needed licensing. When I thought my headset gave my Dolby access. Someone, anyone. Please help me. 🙏

Why do we still have gaming headsets with Micro USB & non removable mics in 2022? A lot not most but a lot of gamers don't even use the mic on the headset.
I recently just purchased this headset prior to finding this video. I have noticed that if plugged into a PC using a 3.0 port it disconnects frequently. It does not disconnect if you use a USB 2.0 port. I cannot get this headset to connect on PC when having the dongle flipped to PC but it will work if slid over to the Xbox side. Ive tried everything and cant get the dongle switched to PC to connect at all when plugged into the back of my PC

Super comfortable but Rig 800hx is awful at connecting every time at launch. Have to reconnect or restart game/system often. Returning headset today.

If you have the 700 gen 2 no need. I have the 700 gen 1 and they are only for pc & ps4/5. I have the 800 lx for my series x and love them. They are lighter and more comfortable than the 700 gen 1. I believe the only difference between the gen 1& 2 is the dongle to make them universal for everything. Either way gen 2 is the way to go no need to switch

I'm starting to get tired with the A50 constant failures with the base station; not for charginng but the base station stops being recognized by the computer and Xbox.

I just got these and they sound really low. I am on pc windows 11. I have gone throughout the Dolby app and windows sound settings and unfortunately nothing has helped the sound. I played MW2 and my teammates talking sound super loud but everything else is just low. The second game I tried was battlefield 2042 same issue. Third game was Fortnite and the bass seemed to over power the rest of the audio. I did notice the battery was dead when I took out the box not sure if the batter percentage still affects the performance, but I'm waiting until it fully charged to check it again. Xbox is stamped on the box and windows 10/11 in small font. I am hoping it's just the wrong ones for PC, because I have the 700pro for 5 years and they sounded great. This was a birthday gift to Myself, so I wasn't force to upgrade. If anyone has any ideas or tips on making them sound better, please feel free to tell me.

Check your mic quality settings, I have the playstion version of this headset, and its STUCK at "Tape Recorder" quality in the settings, with no way to change it. Not sure if it headset issue or what, have done everything I could to fix it. Emailed the company, if they dont have a fix ill be returing it.

I just bought the Pro HX today and have been trying to fine-tune the sound for CoD. It seems the way I am doing it, the sound is all over the place 😂. But before i bought these I was looking at the A50s and the Pro HX was on sale so I wanted to try them out I got them for 115 dollars with a 2 year warranty so I figured what the hell.

My volume is messed up not sure what’s wrong. The wheel just makes it go up and down but more down till it muted. I can plug it into my pc and turn the volume back up then use them but it’s horrible not being able to use the wheel anymore.
The same thing happens to me, I think the wheel is damaged, I turn it up and sometimes it turns it up, what it does is lower the volume when I turn it up
Does anyone know why i can’t record game chat whenever i use my headset with Dolby atmos??? Whenever i unplug the headset i can record game chat, but not with it on. (I use avermedia capture card)

I got mine as a gift, awhile back, but have been unable to use it. I tried it out for work, and immediately had to go back to my old 800HS because no one could hear me, unfortunately. I've tried multiple machines, all with the same problem. There is no mic boost available for it apparently, and the quality level is even stuck at the very low "Tape Recorder" setting. It's 100% useless for me, at this point, unfortunately. I've sent an email to Support, so hopefully they can provide some sort of fix. This is my 3rd RIG headset, and also the first one I've had an issue with...

@@Phantom288288 Nope. Aside from the basic troubleshooting, Support's solution was that it's defective and asked me to send them a receipt and such. It's been over a week since they said someone would get with me, so I'm not sure what's going on now...

@@DeadManWalking89 I got my replacement for mine today. Same issue. My thought is. The HS and HX have buttons to shut off mic monitoring, the pro HD does not. Even the dial only sets it to low, not off, and I'm guessing this is the reason why you can't up the quality of the mic.
I read some forums that you can't change the quality when certain programs are using it. So it would make sense that if mic monitoring is always on, you can't change it. Idk.
I'm sending my replacement back and getting a new headset altogether. Not paying $150 to sound like a speak and spell
@@Phantom288288 My replacement arrived over the weekend, so I've been testing it during work this week. So far, everyone says they can hear me. I'm a little low, but not nearly as low as I was with the other headset. I'm practically swallowing the mic, but still way better than the first one.
Did they ask you for the defective one back? They didn't ask me, or include a return shipping label or anything, so I guess I just keep it...
Oh, and sorry about your bad luck. I hope you find an awesome headset that works! That does make sense with the mic monitoring. I'm not sure why anyone would want that, exactly. I turn it off every single time I turn on the headset. I deal enough with my voice coming back to me on Zoom calls, haha.
I’ve gotten 2 different pairs of rig headsets and both have had the same quiet buzzing/hissing sound when on and silent. If turtle beach sucks and so does rig now then what other option do I have for Xbox????

Why do people not like the adjustment on these? It's WAY more durable than other headphones and, if you drop them, the worst that will happen is a cup will pop out, you just pop it back in.

No, but it says it’s only for Xbox and PC, so I’m 99% sure the PS5 wouldn’t even recognize it
If you flick the switch on the USB adapter from Xbox mode to PC mode it'll work with PS5 🤫
