Lakehurst Mall Waukegan, Illinois June 2003

The old Lakehurst Mall, in Waukegan, Illinois was located on the property that is now occupied by a Walmart with an area called "Fountain Square of Waukegan", 3900 Fountain Square Pl, Waukegan, Illinois 60085.
I was allowed by security to tour Lakehurst Mall, in Waukegan, Illinois, in June of 2003 before it was demolished. Cobwebs everywhere!! the upper mezzanine and railing creaked because there had not been any weight walking on it for so long. It was creepy. The one department store I could not even enter because of all the spider webs. I did enter the gift tree one last time. and filmed Jokers wild as much as I could. I moved to Florida in November 1997, so that was the last time I was at the mall until I came back 5 years later to visit family, and stopping by the mall, it was very bizarre, and only some film makers have been able to capture that feeling, George Romero is one of them.
