To be fair, when you were talking about the Manfrotto RC2 (200PL) quick release system you were showing a Sunpak quick release system. The Manfrotto plates work well for what they are and if you stay within that system.

My Peak Design high end model works with , Peak Design, Arca Swiss, Manfrotto RC2, and it has a Peak Design locking tab holes for camera strap attachment , Peak Design makes a two different models of these. The cheaper version does not.

Peak Design are missing a trick not making one of these! I’m thinking the Falcam F38 with the v3 plate for my gear. This has also caught my attention.

A year later, are there any other things you would say are cons? Does the top plate still stay put and not need more tightening?

I love these. I beefed up buying 6 more for all my medium and small bodied cameras. I’ve never had any issues with the screws coming undone.

I actually just bought a replacement quick release for my Sunpak Tripod. Forgot to take the last one off when I sold my old camera haha.

Have you tried the Falcam F38 quick release system too? How does it compare? Their backpack/shoulder strap clips look enticing.

I have not, it does look interesting

I'm not sure I would like sliding my camera into the F38 as much as I would like to just stick it down in the base like this PGYTech does. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but...

@@EasternWild Yes I can see that. I got the F38 stuff now and the sliding seems more tedious than just popping it in from the top. But you can still use normal Arca Swiss clamps if you want, and the Falcam backpack clip (V2) is really good imo, which is why I "bought into" the system.

Does the plate on the lock washer cause any camera twisting?
