@@Blackain66 yeah been rolling lock classic and nightfall is a rare proc it seems to happen once every now and then which makes me think it really is not that good at the moment and a waste of 2 talent points, too rng to be useful

If you don’t have instant casts you have to cast a lot. Pro tips right here! For real though, nice that you can call out what you do and still focus on the game. Looks much easier than it is.

Why dont you immolate shadowbolt conflag then shadowburn? You can 100-0 almost everytime.
As if I wasn't having enough trouble trying to decide whether to main warrior or warlock.

hey Exec, do you think going horde as a warlock will definitely make a difference in pvp (no wotf to deal with, no shamans, no orcs against your nades or tidal wave) or is it exactly the same because of the perks alliance gives (mostly not having to deal with pallies dispell/benefiting from their blessing of protection/freedom, and not fighting fear ward in pvp? Thanks
Orc is definitely better for lock than alliance
Horde will be much easier, as you said, because of no wotf.
I'm rolling Orc lock in classic. Played human lock back in vanilla
There are broken races and classes on both factions. The majority of players you will fight will be undead, if you're alliance. In my opinion, rolling alliance really isn't that bad. There are always a lack of warlocks on Ally, so getting raid and dungeon spots will be easier than on horde. Dealing with WOTF can be easy depending on the enemy player. If you fear them right away, players generally wotf right away, giving you the option to fear later in the fight. Being able to adapt to the fight is the most important thing. It can suck being an ally lock, but instead of casting fear, just do damage instead. With engineering and some gear, warlock's can destroy regardless of spec or race. Hope this helped.

Well this reminds me of Vanilla indeed, when T1 or T2 was giving you the same bonus as HWL set, because all you needed for PVP was stamina, which comes with PVE gear for locks. Good times. Actually made me feel like a decent PVP player - I wasn't, just overgeared...

So why don't you actively use your felhunter for damage? Are you keeping him out of danger for utility/survival purposes?
I think it's because lock's pet dmg is laughable at 60 against plate and mail, especially when your lock is geared: fel is supposed to be used for utility (resistance, dispell, silence).
fh pet deals inconsequential damage and dies to melee super easily, it's ability range is 30 though, i wouldn't even leave it on defensive and only send it in when fighting casters to disrupt

Overall, good mechanics. It's nice to see good understanding of this vanilla spec. My only advice is that you should utilize more casting time instead of moving and jumping so much. This applies to all situations where you are not being threatened directly and/or when you are not in need of repositioning because of direct threat, casting range, or line of sight. Most of the time, your extra casting time would be used for additional SP, SB, or incinerate as appropriate, which makes a big difference.

Maybe, Hunter duels are very long and drawn out. It can get boring and repetitive, but then again thats every class haha

serious sam Warlock and Spriest are both S Tier dueling classes with Spriest generally regarded as one of the best but it depends on gear, consumables, racials, and how well you play.
Dueling won’t get you the gear you need to be good at dueling FYI.

@@ExecutusGaming nah SL warlock dumpsters all those classes. Not sure about shaman bc who plays shaman? LOL
All you need is ice reflect shield from engineering and mage is useless. Free action pot for anti sheeping etc. Mage is pretty ez to 1v1 as warlock. Only thing that's annoying is their blink.
Edit: warlocks also have an absorb shadow shield iirc so SP can be easier to fight as well. Just spec SL and you are the 1v1 God
@@shroud4269 Lol only those that need to get good play SL locks. I'd say a really good Ele could out duel an SL lock. With that said, Mage and Rogue have 2 of the highest ceilings, so I could see great mages and rogues being 1v1 kings
just wondering but in classic you wont be able to have so many invulnarability pots and free action pots so basically you would have died 10x more without them
Fyi anyone can carry a flag. Yea, they are more likely to die and lose it but it's worth a try to score a point for the team, if no one goes for it. Besides, you can always through a tank or druid the flag if they want it.
Wouldn’t you have killed the sheep target faster if you let the first immolate do a few ticks? What’s the point to instantly take it off if you know you aren’t going to get a 2nd conflagration?
Question bro. Is this server pretty much how classic will work? Cause I love the commentary vids because it helps me prepare and understand the intricacies of pvping other classes.
yes it is, except not everybody will run around in rank 14 gear ^^

It's similar, but remember that you will have to obtain all of the gear yourself. It can be difficult to even get MC gear.

Love it, hardly see these kind of vids. can you tell me how you use such low number of castbars, how do u manage? If i play my whole screen is full of icons. what addons u use for UI? And why do you use double spells on that bar? different ranks?

easier to see cooldowns without tunnel visioning so much. you can use peripheral vision to sort of see your cooldowns using this method. Different ranks cud be spell bound to other bars and just hide ur bars after.

@@ExecutusGaming Definitely was the most eye catching from my perspective lol. The rest are great class mechanics to learn, it just so happens that the trinket switching was the constant between all of them =D
Lock is really great and op char but its so painfull to farm soulstones every day/week -.-

Would you use any other pets besides Felhunter? Such as Void for Sac shield Or Succubus for some cc?.
In bg your succubus will die in 2 seconds and the void will last you one fight. Your only real choice is felhunter unless your soul link spec which he isn't

K is it me or I think that they reduced the size of the felhunter after vanilla?
During vanilla felhunter used to look like bulky pitbul but after that they got reduced in size.
This is private server gameplay. You may want to check gameplay footage of the Classic Beta to determine the size of felhunters. They do seem quite big in this.
What's your thoughts on being Alliance versus Horde as a Warlock? I really want to play Alliance and everyone bashes it because of WOTF.
James Knight Undead isn’t even the best race for lock. The best is easily going to be Gnome followed by Troll and then Orc. Being able to break fears is not nearly as important as the stun resist as there are infinitely more people playing classes with stuns than locks and priests.

Rogue for sure.
Rogue has less keybinds. Probably the least in the entire game, since you have an action bar for stealth.

so i am very motivated to pick a warlock in classic as well. now as i am an alliance Player i hear so many bad Things About alliance WL as half hord is taking undead (Wotf). whats your thoughts i will choose a Gnome WL. thx for advice
I played an alliance lock in vanilla on a pvp server. Your absolutely the worse class/race matchup if you roll ally lock. If you have any serious PvP goals save yourself alot of time and go horde
