I HATE the way male Orcs look on their mounts though -- they look way over-sized for the damn horse. But I care less about looks and more about what is best for PVP. I know how good WOTF is since I play a UD Mage, so it would be hard to give it up, but If I already have an edge in those match ups you mention, wouldn't I want to try and increase the chances of winning the harder match ups like Rogue? I dunno what else would be hard for a lock.
Because almost nobody picks class based on min-maxing outside of a very little group of elitists. UD's have cooler animations, RP and are edgier in general, that's why they're the most picked class amongst horde PvPers for all classes save for warriors (for which they simply look more puny).

At 1:37 ish, Xaryu's just hit Snutz with a Fireblast for about 250 bringing him to 11%.(He has about 5.5k Total Health) You can see what Xaryu's wands are hitting for through that SoulLink in the top left corner, Xar's literally doing 50~ dmg per wand, and Snutz's HPRegen has to be close to that if not higher. I think Xaryu felt safe when his shield was holding, and *did* wand *nearly* to the end, only kiting after frost barrier broke. And tbf, that felhunter got in nearly 400dmg in less than 4 seconds.

Shaman doesnt have curse of exhaustion he just has the same movement speed. And devouring frost nova, and frost shock isnt that big of a deal. His ability to constantly keep devouing nova, off himself and then the buffs off the mage while still dpsing is more impressive.
For duels yeah, by far. Keep in mind this is also tier 1 gear (the weakest point for warlocks in the vanilla timeline), and with health/spellstones banned. Locks only occupy a flex spot in premade BGs though, with mages being the caster of choice that makes up a lot of the team composition.

If SL is not banned, it's really dumb not to play the best spec, 50k are in the line and other warlocks are not going to stop using SL. This is pretty geared mage going all in and SL locks this early on still lack damage they get in future phases, 3rd onwards. Mages are surprisingly effective now against Warlocks in general with face rolling all instants.

Dont rely too much on OmniBar as some cooldowns can be lowered with items/talents and the addon basically uses default cooldowns.

If SL is not banned, it's really dumb not to play the best spec, 50k are in the line and other warlocks are not going to stop using SL. Snutz is aware of how broken SL is, but he's not dumb, he even advocates to get it to ban for the tournament.

This is pretty geared mage going all in and SL locks this early on still lack damage they get in future phases, 3rd onwards.
Mages are surprisingly effective now against Warlocks in general with face rolling all instants.
@@Lapouchy yes but lock should still have the advantage with equal gear. The resist on death coil is big, duel would not have been this close otherwise. And mage used pretty much everything, including wotf that is an extra tool other races do'nt have.
@@foxmulder8955 Keep in mind warlock here can't use Healthstone and spellstone which combined are around 2,4k health and let you dispell Frost nova/frostbite, allowing for a offensive devour.

in some aspects yeah... like why use curse of shadows instead of Curse of tongues vs shadow priest? if he CoT him he doesnt even need to kite, he can just sit and spam drain mana on the priest if he tries to hardcast anything and win every trade.
