You don't go to football matches and say how it's sick a random guy isn't playing for Juventus. They are best for a reason and a random guy wouldn't be random if he was anywhere close to having a shot at winning this, people would know him like they did with almost everyone who qualified.

As a warlock main, I knew a warlock would win. By far the best 1v1 class in wow, its not even close.

Warrior came out very strong against warlocks with the makgora rules. A duel between sonii and snutz could have gone either way
@@sny1337 Sonii was well-equipped with gear and consumables, but I was unimpressed with the warlocks, except for Snutz. An equally geared warlock should beat an equally geared warrior almost every time. While an undead warrior has a better chance to counter, they still face a higher risk of losing. Warlocks are exceptionally strong in 1v1 situations, especially in the hands of a skilled player like Snutz. That being said, this makgora tournament introduced a lot of variability with gear and consumables, but I remained very confident that a Warlock would win from the beginning.

That was literally his job. He's the expert so he did the play-by-play. Esfand was there as the 'color' commentator.

Take any real life situation at a competition, you wouldnt have this situation. There would be some parameters that would make it fair for all parts. This is not the case in this one. It was streamer advantages

Wow is a hard game to “cast” because not only do you have to know all abilities. You have to constantly explain them to the audience while it’s happening , xar is actually amazing at this. It’s why his streamer/youtube career has just exploded. Dude it just so on point and intelligent.

I'm so glad that Snutz won, I was rooting for him so hard! Man, this tournament was such a blast! It reminded me why WoW will always have a special place in my heart, regardless of the fact that I haven't touched the game in a long time. More like well done Blizzard for developing such an OP class that basically can't lose a duel unless there's a huge gear or skill gap between players. A mediocre warlock can beat a spectacular mage.
Which was better, the high level PvP or Xaryu's commentary?
I don't know much about WoW, but i saw in some other video that ziqo had a shadow resistance set specifically to counter warlocks, why didn't he use it here?
Per Ziqo shadow resist against dots is bugged out. From what he said on his channel you can never full resist a dot rather there is a chance to just reduce the damage the dot will do to you. However the person applying the dot just has to put up a new one .
IE: snutz using corr. It gives a partial resist. The dot only does 50 damage a tick. Snutz would just have to re-apply a new Corr and it could potentially do full damage now
Ziqo explains it waaaaaayy better and with math on his twitch channel from a vod like 2-3 days ago
Man.. Classic WoW is actually so much better than retail in terms of character building and evironment. All these builds including obscure items and added cooldowns are so fucking cool dude. It's flawed in such a beautiful way.

I’m surprised. I wasn’t expecting mage but they made the brackets as easy as possible for Ziqo. No warlocks even possible up until semi. No priest, no Druid. Just easy counter matchups for Ziqo.

Brilliant event, hopefully blizz partners with an OTK tourny. Certainly better commentary and content than blizzes. Even the AWC has lots of fluff.
We need 1v1 world championships, 2s, and ofc the dreaded-gamble of chaos 5s.
Would be very fun (5s would be hilarious to hear commentary as well)

Xaryu is a god tier caster. Calls things before they even happen, obvious he has such a breadth of pvp knowledge. Esfand is a great streamer but he can’t get a word in with xaryu calling everything so quick and clean

Xiqo played extremely well, maybe less so vs Snutz. However, Ziqo basically got a walkover bracket and fails with the first rough matchup. Snutz had a decent beacket but faced stiffer competition including mirror marchup. Snutz proved himself to be a considtently good player st the highest level and also what we knew, warlocks are OP. Shoutout to perp for almost whacking Sonii.
I hadnt seen the tournament footage yet and now I know Snutz and Ziqo win every round >.>

Not sure why people bother with 1vs1 in vanilla since we have known for 19.5 years it isn't in any way balanced for that.
I could have been exciting if the warlock lost some hp sometimes.
Having only 1 skilled lock in the tournament made it more entertaining. We all knew snutz was going to win regardless he would go up against

Every Snutz duel wasn't even 'close' really. A great warlock is the top PVP class. You could be the best warrior, mage etc like Ziqo and not stand a chance. Warlocks simply have too much of a health pool along with many other abilities that make them the best. Like it wasn't even surprising that he won at all. It's like watching mage vs warrior on every fight he was in. He is a great player, yes, but lock is the best 1v1 pvp class esp SL.
Soul link warlock spec was banned in some community tournaments because of this. This tournament was an anything goes kind of thing so i dont blame them for allowing it.

Amazing show, Xaryu Esfand and Soda completely killed it, shame Savix got dc and that one guy got coward debuff but besides this everything was perfect, really makes me wanna come back to WOW
Xaryu really carried the stream, honestly would have not been nearly as entertaining without him. Between Asmon's ridiculous toxicity the whole time and Esfand really not saying anything Xaryu really managed to elevate this broadcast well beyond where it would have been without him.

This was extremely entertaining but no non streamer for the classic community even had a chance. These guys had tons of folks giving them gold and grinds for free. No way a normal player would of even had a chance to get fully bis before the tournament without being fed drops and gold by viewers.

Besides the soni duel every single duel; the outcome was solved. I dont understand why soyboys hype up wow classic pvp so much when the game is in such a solved state with class imbalance and counters, we already know the full outcome. The wow community is confusing and entertained by infantile pursuits.
Next time with a real ruleset. No trading. No goons to help you level. SSF and even stricter. These guys are beyond human in most ways. Giving them every tool in the existence of wow is a tas boring. Especially sperg armies feeding them gold, items and dungeons.
This was the whole point of the tournament - no rules, communities helping out everyone as much as possible and using every trick the game has to offer, that's why it was 10x more entertaining than all other WoW arenas and tournaments combined
