Thanks for demoeing the woobles for us. I bought a woobo's kit of the Penguin but I'm mostly blind and I found out it has a 4 mm hook with a number 4 yarn. I tried another amigarumi with the same size hook and I just couldn't feel the stitches to count them. I have yet to be successful, I think next time i attempt amagarumi again. I will try with a number 5 or 6 yarn and maybe a 5 or 6 mm hook. Good for you for not quitting on crafting. Though when we have disabilities, we just have to be adaptable. I tell people we do the same things as you do. We just do them differently.

Cute! Not all foxes have black tipped ears, many do not, they come in many colors and sizes. Have you seen a red panda they remind me of foxes but are a type of panda. I am looking forward to hear more about this yarn and so on..

I agree with you Kayla that $25-$30 is worth it for learning to crochet. What I would love to see is a video of a beginner learning with a Woobles kit. I know Elise Rose's husband did this, but I think if she hadn't asked him to do it he would not have on his own. I would love to see a true beginner with a hunger to learn how to crochet and no one next to them to help. Then again I would probably go nuts wanting to reach through the screen and help them 😂
I met someone who was crocheting a very pretty afghan, and she said she learned to crochet with a Woobles kit! Obviously, the kits aren't going to teach you everything, but it seems to be a good jumpstart for some people.

Hi Miss Kayla. My great niece got one of these for her birthday and asked for my help. The beginning stitch markers are there to help a beginner know where to put the stitches or increases. The video is very helpful. I disagree that these are for beginners. Crocheting in the round isn't easy even when you know what you're doing. My 9 year old great niece is very bright and caught on very quickly to chaining and single crochet stitches. I'm not sure that this is the project for a brand new crocheter.

Hi Kayla, I have never purchased a Woobles kit, but did purchase some kits that are similar in contents, including all items needed to make a small amigurumi. Those kits were sold on Amazon, priced between $4 and $6, and came with QR codes to access an instructional video. I don't use a smartphone for such things, but I know that many people do. No, I wouldn't pay the exorbitant price for a Woobles kit. I'm amazed that anyone does. Observing this trend has been a learning experience for me, learning about what motivates people to buy things!!

Hi Kayla the flower in with the sewing needles usually has wire loop from it and it's a needle threader . Your little piece of loop wire falls out sometimes so that's maybe what's happened 😊

I agree they are very expensive. I've bought a couple special kits. ..the pac-man and all the ghosts (i paid over time) and the snoopy Woodstock christmas set. With the special ones you get an exclusive hook. The pac-man alone i got 5 different designed hooks. One for each ghost and one for pac-man. Yes they are all the same size but that's the only way you could ever get that cute hook so I justified the price a little with the limited edition hooks lol.the flower is a needle threader i believe.

My daughter was given a Woobles penguin kit. She just doesn't have the time to learn, so I'm going to make it. Her youngest child, a five-year-old boy, is suddenly obsessed with penguins. I'm looking forward to giving it a try. I think they are $29.99 every place I've seen them, and I was just too cheap to buy one!

There is a pattern book for sale for the Woobles. Also the flower thing in your package is supposed to be a threader. Is there a tiny wire sticking out of the flower? Maybe it is too small to see. Or it may be broken. I have many of those since I buy yarn from Amazon.

I spent most the day the a doctors for X-ray on my elbow because Sunday I tripped and fell and caught myself on elbow. Well guess what I broke it, the pointy part off from bone so have to have surgery this week ugh. It is cold here too in central North Carolina.

I really wish they were cheaper. That price is outrageous. You can learn to crochet using any of the millions of crochet videos on RUclips for free and get yarn and hooks from the dollar tree. They had a Christmas advent, and it was$130 to $150. I don't remember the exact price. I just personally think it's too expensive. 😊

I think the Makers yarn that I’ve also seen at Joann’s is very similar. It’s tube and you get a big skein for way cheaper.

I was taught with an h chains then a granny sq start into a rabbit, then hexagon stockings, then Granny squares.

Some are closing , but apparently not all Joann stores are. I think I heard mine is closing because the rent was going up, and landlord doesn’t want to renew rental agreement. 😟. Ruth

Thinner yarn than bulky like a 4 or 5 wt, a good crochet hook and yarn is much cheaper than $30 or $25. To me, Woobles is a major rip off! Just saying...
