Every platform Meta has also does this. You speak about something specific, you get an ad about it in the next few scrolls. I mowed the lawn today, I got ads about lawnmowers.
True, I get that, I'm not happy with it but I get it, those platforms make money from showing us ads, Spotify makes money from us paying them, I think that's what makes it worse for me
I feel you man, as a DJ and Music Producer myself I have found it difficult to enjoy making / DJing music for the past few months (to a point where I haven't touched any of the software and barely any of the hardware)... I am slowly getting back into it but I can only find enjoyment in producing when I avoid listening to music in my pass-time, mainly listening to podcasts at the gym now. I'm worried how AI is going to be used in creative industries like ours... Let's keep fighting for our passions, never give up, and only use AI for tedious tasks rather than as a replacement! ❤
My guess is that they don't "spy" on you in a sense that they are listening to what you say, but that they are using other metrics to determine what you are likely to be doing. For instance, if you connect your phone to the car stereo via bluetooth, the app can see that. Then it can logically deduce that you must be driving. Similarly with the bluetooth karaoke speaker, if your phone has been connected to that, then Spotify has likely deduced that you own a karaoke speaker.
Btw it’s never on shuffle fr I realized each time I start a playlist on shuffle there songs it will play always a lot just coz you skipped them before or ddnt play them as much
OMG! 😱 No words for it!!! 🤬 Yes one thing I can say, Apple Music forever. Firstly because I can buy the tracks or albums I want to own, secondly because the privacy policies at Apple are the most stringent on the market, thirdly because the music suggestions are not invasive. Great channel anyway bro! Subscribed after watching few of your videos, starting with Traktor ones!
Just a reminder that Spotify's CEO itself doesn't care about musicians one bit, and only sees them as assets. By leaving Spotify and subscribing to for example RUclips Premium (which is essentially the same price with all the same songs available + ad-free RUclips), you are doing a favor for all the small musicians and artists that are basically forced to use Spotify since it is one of the biggest streaming platforms. Spotify un-surprisingly takes advantage of their size, just like Twitch with it's streamers.
Oh of course, there’s also talks that they have AI generated music that they are promoting heavily to avoid paying artists, can’t say for sure that it’s true, but I do know that they really don’t care about musicians…which kinda sucks
As someone who never used Spotify but rather an illegal app at first then switched to yt music, I never understood the appeal of Spotify. Catalogue is small especially if you are a niche listener, and when I was on the fence yt premium was at that point just 2 euros more expensive with add free RUclips, which is why I have never left.
So true man! It is so hard to find new music because Spotify keeps playing the same songs. And another thing I don't like is that the app pushes music from people who are signed to big record labels hence why Drake somehow always finds his way to your playlist and spotify wrapped.
I actually think the shuffle is useful (coming from a teen). I don't really want to hear songs I liked while I was a tween but as for the DJ part, damn your Spotify is cooked
thats a longest youtube promo ever, but i get where you coming from , I stopped using spotify a year ago, thank God didnt have to experience the Ai thing, music is personal for me dont think robotics should infiltrate that space, i am audiowhore/junky i hate bad music selection, and i agree the shuffle on spotify sucks, but I use to like the smart shuffle because of discovering new music and artists, but i dont subscribe to these platforms no more, they ripping artist off, good post Thozi, from another Thozi.
wasn't a promo lol. Yeah I like the idea of discovering new artists, but it seemed to me like they were just pushing certain artists and not necessarily "giving me music"
+1 Inscrito xD
Maybe you should read what you´re accepting when making accounts on platforms like these. Everybody acts so surprised about these things but it´s all specifically written about in the T&C, yet everybody will always be starstruck when they see something they literally consented to.
Yes, you’re right. But realistically no one reads those 😅, plus, even if we did actually take the time to read them, I doubt there’d be an option to opt out of all of this
@@thozimusicThat is true. I dont read em either but we cant trust these big companies😂 All love for the video tho real interesting to hear your perspective and experiences
Well I never noticed that ey. It's true it just come out now after you just saying this thing I never even take it seriously but my "KWESHEN" is. That’s so real. It doesn’t shuffle randomly. U got great points g, Keep up the good work.
It's crazy man! Glad to hear that I am not alone in this

this is why i just use an old modded version of spotify

Don't cripple your sound quality with compressed Spotify...instead use a quality lossless source like Apple Music.

Can you turn off tracking on your device?

What App did you use to transfer your playlists to youtube?
I can’t remember the name but I searched on RUclips how to do it, the website kinda looks dodgy but it works
Same here! I have been on Spotify premium since around 2016 and moved to sweet Apple Music, lossless quality with same price
I pay for RUclips premium but I just don’t like RUclips music (just a preference thing) so I separately pay for Apple Music
They don't care about privacy.
Bro right!?

also spotify still doesnt support lossless music
Amazon does the same. Frustrating.
Spotify after watching this: "shit they're becoming aware"
Thought about switching, now I’ll for sure will.
I went from Spotify to Tidal years ago (still have a Spotify subscription, just in case), but I never had the urge to go back to Spotify.
Yeah, sounds stalky, it's probably collecting data from websites you've visited too.
