Thanks Mike! By the way, I have you number written down and am going to text you from a Florida area code. I don't have my phone, but have one I can borrow and will send you a text in the coming week. I'm planning out trips for next year, and would love to do some with you. I'll definitely be back to Grand Junction by February too!
Two of my favorite hiking video makers. I'm not sure how others feel, but I really enjoy these"realistic" hikes. I'm never going to have a 10lb. baseweight and hike 30 miles a day, much better to see something I could actually do... when not sitting on my butt watching RUclips that is.😁
Good to see your back brother. Hope you’re doing well. When I saw you were posting again, absolutely made my day The Godfather of backpacking is back. Hell yes. Be safe out there
Love the Salmo-Priest Wilderness and the mighty Selkirks! Both are in my backyard and I hike them all three seasons. I'm planning to hit all of the Seven Sisters this next year. Thanks for sharing, Joey! Just FYI, if you're hoping to try Parker Ridge again; the Selkirks are looking to get a record snowfall this year. They are already blanketed with a lot.
Thanks for the info! That's great that the Selkirks are getting some good snow, the more the better!! I'm hoping to get up through that area for a small trip or 2 at the end of spring, first of summer, but I guess it will depend on snow. You'll have to tell me what the Seven Sisters are? Are they in the Selkirks or over by the Cascades?
@@MyOwnFrontier Will do, Joey! The Seven Sisters are in the Selkirks just east of Priest Lake. Most of the trailheads are from the east side of the range. I'm not aware of a trail that connects all of them, but I'm sure there is a way to reach most of them by going off trail, over passes, and bushwacking. If you can PM me, I can give you some more info that might be beneficial to you.
Thanks Troy! Funny thing is I'm not too far south from you at the moment, sitting on Ormond Beach watching the waves roll in. Decided to check out the Atlantic Ocean for a few days..... It's beautiful here!
Good to see you posting videos again! Not sure why you went away, but that’s none of my business, just glad to see you back again. You post the best backpacking videos on the Internet. Cheers.
Oh man so pleased to see another vid from you! Your stuff is just relaxing and your vibe chill. Super awesome you’re out with @mountainwanderer - great vid of that ridge on his channel too
If you ever get back to this area, you should try the Long Canyon Loop in the North Idaho Selkirks. It's a 40-mile loop with old growth forests, lakes, and mountain peaks. I've made a video of it years ago. Check it out. Hike on!
I'm so grateful for your videos Joey! It's one of my favorite things to do is watch your hiking videos. I've been hoping for all this time for you to return!
This is my first time on your channel. I live in Grand Coulee. This was a great trip to see on video. I'm aware of that Wilderness Area, but the closest I've been was driving through Metaline Falls. Thanks very much for the tour!
Hey thanks for checking out the video! I love that area, you are in a great spot! You have cool stuff to the west, north, and east of you, and I love that high desert country in eastern Washington. There's so much space!
If I had ever been here before I would probably know just what to do....don't you? If I had ever been here before on another time around the wheel, I would probably know just how to deal....with all of you. And I feel like I've been here before. Feel, like I've been here before. And you know, it makes me wonder, what's going on under the ground. Do you know? Don't you wonder? What's going on....down under you? We have all been here before We have all been here before
Thank you so much for coming back. You were very missed!!! PLEASE keep posting.
Long live the long form backpacking videos! No music or post production narration needed here. Great video as always Joey!
