I love that you recognize your wife’s sacrifice and are clearly a team together. Good for you both

Gotta say I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. Love the info you provide in addition to the text on the screen. You’ve got a lovely family and living the dream. I’m currently in training and aspire to be like you one day!

Captain (You've earned the promotion), thank you for your insight. Being the same age (with a 6 year old daughter) makes your content that more interesting to me. You bring a side of the industry that isn't discussed enough, so thank you for this and I can't wait for your next video.

Appreciate this raw and very “un-romanticized” look into the life of an airline pilot. I’ve enjoyed watching some of your vlogs too!
I just took my discovery flight the other day.. and have to say it was totally rad! Despite some of the challenges, really eager to pursue this career.
Keep up the good work, thanks!

A note regarding airlines accommodating hotels for commuters at 2:15 (at least at the regional level) - Air Wisconsin covers up to 6 hotels per month for commuters. Great video

This is very relatable, although I’m not a pilot. I’m on the fence with taking an opportunity for my career in another state. I have 2 young kids and teenage daughter and it’s impossible to just uproot them overnight. But if I end up getting the position, we’re trying to future out ways how I can be home as much as possible, while working in my career and making a better life for my family until it makes sense for everyone to relocate with me.

I wish these videos were around when I was 21 because I probably would be an airline pilot. Thanks for the great content!

You can tell you’re talking to a pilot when he accidentally called Salt Lake City Salt Lake Center lol spend a lot of time talking to those Center controllers 😂

That's why I like widebody. I fly prob 10 to 12 days in a month and have the rest off. I try only commute once or twice a month. I don't get how the NB pilots can commute 4 times a month.

Me being away from home a few days a week only makes me closer to my spouse. The time we do spend together is of higher quality and cherished.

Pitch your ambitions higher. Plus at interview always say you’re keen to be a Captain when you have the skills and experience. Airlines don’t hire FO’s they hire trainee Captains.

I was reading a reddit post the other day about how to keep a relationship as an airline pilot. Step 1. Keep your thing in your pants. Step 2. Keep your thing in your pants. Step 3. Seriously, keep your thing in your pants!. Step 4. communicate

As a single dad, leaving the military for a 121 job, I’m curious how other single parents do this job while managing their house (family, au pair, nanny, etc.).

Is it possible to be an airline pilot single and paying all of it out of pocket? I currently spend 500 a week for 2 hrs of flight school, I don’t even wanna think about dual engine 😂
