same here, had a second hand TP4201A which simply wouldn't charge, after even ASUS support were clueless, saying a new motherboard was needed, I opened the laptop and followed your meticulous instructions to plug the connector back in correctly. And yes, if you don't slide the metal cover back in all the way in it will pop off again... thanks for the video, a breath of fresh air from all clickbait and drivel pervasive on youtube!
So this helped a lot, now my vivobook is actually charging. But now I have a new issue, it’s not booting up and it continues to say preparing automatic repair and it keeps restarting
It's my pleasure my friend.🫠Regarding your question, that is because the HHD or SSD is degraded nothing to do with battery, or your system (windows is bad). replace the ssd or the hdd: ruclips.net/video/rAbbe6mVW30/видео.html Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻

What happens if the two wires that connect the WiFi come out? Will they just snap back in? Black and white wires with little red dots on the end of hold tip.
🫠Regarding your question, nothing will happen; just put them back in the same order. The order of the cables doesn't matter. However, if you don't connect the antenna cables back to the Wi-Fi board, you will have a bad Wi-Fi connection. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻

I accidently shorted my laptop after removing the battery from the bracket to the wires, saw a spark and now the laptop won't turn back on. I tried holding the power on for 60 seconds and 60 seconds on to drain the battery to no avail. I also tried turning it on for 60 seconds then plug in the cord. no avail. please reach out and help if I could do something else.
i'm sorry to hear about theaccident that you had removing the battery, your only chance of reviving that laptop is taking it to a repair shop so they can check the mosfets and power rails on the motherboard and detect the short to ground.
Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: some of the battery that the sellers have are old and from old batch so they do go bad after few months, return it and get a new one they should have 3 or 6months warranty on them.
I only used my laptop plugged in. Is there a way to stop the battery from being charged all the time? On my old Toshiba the battery was easily removable. Not on this one.

Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: No my friend you can't upgrade to 96whr because the circuit on board its not made for charging that capacity.
Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both! Regarding your frustration, it is sad that they don't give easy access to battery removal in laptops anymore, it is very rare now to find a laptop with easy battery removal. That's not difficult at all, fiddly maybe, but difficult most certainly not! Try changing a MacBook battery, that's impossible for a layman, even a very patient one!
i appreciate your feedback but i been doing this for over 18years and not even once i had a incident because of it. but you right if you going to be clumsy and not careful then yes remove the watch, but again one should not touch if he know that he is careless.
Excellent clear-cut demonstration and explanation. Couldn't be better.

jajajaj true that we replace batteries daily and macbook air takes the cake.
Asus is not the most difficult company to replace a battery in a device, that title belongs to Apple
Working on electronic items with a metal watchband on your wrist is not a good idea.
