Rebuilt a 1974 m model in the early eighties.spent a lot of money replacing all chrome parts and rebuilt the engine.
Original silencers were £150 each at the time so fitted allspeed expansion chambers for £140 complete.
Got all my genuine Suzuki bits from Derek loane motorcycles in London

Have a word with reg at rb bikes, he specialises in gt750’s, delkevic make a replica set of the original 3 into 4 exhausts & look fantastic, cost £1400,they also make expansion chambers at around £750,side panels are available used

Thanks I appreciate the tip 🙂
I have already spoken to Reg at RB bikes but ended up getting all the bits I need including exhausts from guys in the kettle club. Joining the kettle club it well worth it. 👍

No, definitely side panels, you can see the plastic oil tank in the video, the side panel fits over the top 🙂

A few years back my son found an old MVX250 Honda V3 triple in his friends dads garage, they were sold in NZ new back in the 80s, as they were sold here new we thought maybe the wreakers and older bigger Honda shops might still have some bits. Rang the biggest Honda dealer in NZ and they said "We did have loads of NOS stuff for those, tanks plastics engine parts, but a couple of years back a guy from the UK rang up and bought the lot!" ive found the same thing at Yamaha and Suzuki dealers, people from overseas buying all the remaining stock for anything pre 90s. Its all on Ebay now probably, for an exorbitant price.

      @@uhtred7860 I've seen a nos set of exhaust for a GT 750 for £4500 😲 crazy

      @@mcmechanic864 WOW, and i thought 2000 NZ$ was bad for an original 86 GSX-R 1100 4 into 1 exhaust.

I don't know, candy red 🤷‍♂️ are you in the UK? there were plenty of red ones here

@@mcmechanic864 Yes, Im in UK I recall the AP50 did a gypsy red, but that was much brighter. I think they did an RE5 rotary in the same colour as your GT. Looking forward to seeing the progress on it.
