@@suzukigt750idiot I certainly have a good guide now. The point about the difference between the inner and outer rim line, and following the inner one because that’s where the tyre sits, I have not heard anywhere else. That is as sound advice as it is straight forward and logical. Thanks, Peter! I soak up each and every video of your’s. Although I would like to have a real professional, like you, restore my GT, I can’t afford to pay someone else to do it for me. I therefore need to learn the skills myself. So, many thanks, mate!
Hi Peter, could you give me some advice my friend has GT750 J he’s cut the spokes out of the rim. the Wheel Builder has now asked if there is offset between Hub to rim back and front
I've heard this question before. The wheels I build are Zero offset, in other words the rim is central to the hub on front and rear, I doubt with standard butted spokes that an offset could even be built into the wheel !
Great videos, Peter! They're Really helping me, thank you. Will you be doing a complete rebuild of the front brake (caliper and master cylinder). I'm having some issues lol. Thanks again. 👍👍
I've just rebuilt both calipers and the master cylinder but didn't bother filming it because its pretty straight forward Find me on Facebook on the GT750 Owners page and I will try to help you
Thanks Peter, i'm about to do the wheels on my GT750. What rims do you use? I found some new ones, the right size and 36 holes. They look exactly the same as the takasago rims but are aftermarket no brand. I hope they are any good😅
Hi Eelco, as long as your new rims are the same width and diameter and are 36 hole, they should be correct. Just sit down and relax and follow the video, it's all about getting the correct spoke pattern
What a masterful job sir!
Thankyou
Another pearl! Thanks again, Peter!
I try Lars. Hope you can now build your own wheels
