    Great Job, I will be adopting this method next time, much better than cutting the ring off.

      @@suzukigt750idiot Yes, I see someone do it like that on RUclips, I've always done it the way you do, but without the jubilee clip.

    great video mate, I've cut the rings off a set of my clocks a few years ago and never rebuilt them because I can't find anyone who supplies the rings, any idea where I can get some please?

    • @suzukigt750idiot
      @suzukigt750idiot  Год назад

      There is a company called CB750FACES.COM they do sell the crimp ring, but they are quite awkward to crimp because the metal is slightly thicker, but it can be done ✔️

      Yeah I saw them after I watched your video last night. Are the supplied rings totally flat so you’ve to crimp both sides of the ring by pressing them or is one of the edges (visible edge) already at the right angle?

      @@nealblath 1 side is at 90 degrees 👍

    Bloody marvellous idea.
    Question- if you had 2 clamps :1 for speedos and 1 for tachos , then you wouldn’t need to keep moving that cut-out around- would you?
    In any case that’s a really sharp tip.
    Thanks.

    How'd you get the trip meter knob out of the speedo to remove the mechanism from the face mate?

    • @suzukigt750idiot
      @suzukigt750idiot  5 месяцев назад

      @jamesward2207 it's a reverse thread so when you turn it to screw it in its actually undoing it 👍

      Yeah got it, thanks. It was tight as hell, it had loctite on the thread. I ended up heating it gently by touching a soldering iron to the shaft away from the plastic and it came free. Cheers mate.
