The day my Dad passed away I spent my night in the presence of the Lord praying and worshipping him. Despite my circumstances I found joy and freedom in Christ that night.
I prayed to God the last few days, "how can I glorify you?" And this showed up. The day my dad passed away, his birthday was literally yesterday, marked a rough spot in my relationship with God. But I am trying to conquer my doubts and things that get in the way of glorifying him. Bless you!
Same here. I was deeply saddened but was thankful for the time I had with my dad and his love for me. It made me realize I have a Heavenly Father who will never leave me or cause me to feel disappointed, and He’s always there for me. I’ve grown closer to God since my dad’s passing, weirdly enough because of that.

Basically, Christian hedonism is only a means of taking advantage of one's privileges as a white male, without wondering if at the end of this marvelous chain of privileges, there is not a worker who is Mexican, African, Chinese, Greek, Ukrainian or Indian, who has been wronged in this marvelous story, to the point of being driven to suicide, divorce, illness or witchcraft in an attempt to ward off his misfortune. It's called: white privilege. And it seems that even male white Christians have quickly found a comfortable place there. In short! But reading your question convinces me that no matter what proof or evidence that would be presented of the Resurrection of Christ, you would not believe it if you don't set aside the "hoaxes" you claim the Biblical authors stated or the disciples had (the story, eyewitnesses, backdated accounts, empty tomb and such). I do believe in the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus because it is essential to the Christian Faith that Christ did die for sins and rose again to prove His power over death and God's declaration of His Son's victory and atonement over sin and death. If Christ wasn't raised then our Faith is in vain. I have not seen it with my own eyes but I have faith and believe so (not blindly or based on delusional belief but that the testimony of a supernatural power of God works through my life and changes me is evidence for a fact that I know it's real.) Historical evidences points out to the validity of Christ's Resurrection not only in terms of Biblical accounts but secular sources after that time attest of it (then again you stated that scholarly accounts and books aren't sufficient evidences for you despite their credibility and careful examined accounts of Jesus being a real person in History who came, was crucified on a cross, died and rose again) the testimonies of the disciples are not mere made-up claims (they couldn't make it up if you take account of what was being taught by the prophecies of the Messiah at that time which occured years before the coming of Jesus...). The testimony of the disciples is one thing that stood true to me, if Jesus didn't really rise from the dead then these disciples would just scatter and not witness to a Christ who wasn't resurrected, but the evidence that these disciples were willing to die for this man Jesus even to suffer persecution for their witness gives you a thought of why were they willing to sacrifice their lives for a cause that didn't happen? They weren't crazy that for a fact we know according to historical documented accounts, they saw something "supernatural and extraordinary" that they were willing to die for it.

It’s also important to note that some gifts are good things: getting good grades, having a stable career and financial stability are all things that we should be striving towards, as it’s a gift from God. But, I also agree that these gifts are really meant to point us to the ultimate provider and goodness of God. Dear Father, Dear Lord, You are of goodness and you are of love and you created me in your own likeness and image. By putting God before us in the things we do and giving glory to God when we do them. However we are sinful idolators so it's easier said than done, which is why prayer is so important as we cannot do it without the Holy Spirit.

I have always seen this verse about doing all to the glory of God as a call to enter into a relational conversation with Him about the activities of life... I glorify God by talking to Him about all that I do, or intend to do, and listening to what He says. My body is His Spirit's temple so I want to know what makes Him happy and comfortable in here, does He see a need in His temple for a particular food or drink, does His temple need sleep, rest or exercise? Will He be pleased if I listen to a certain song or dance in a particular way? What does life look like in relationship with God in every aspect of my life?? To glorify Him, in need to listen to what He says is going to bring Him glory and then do that ❤ rather than making my own choices on what I do with my body (which is actually His temple) or my life (which I actually gave up at salvation & now live for & through & to Him) and then asking Him to bless my self willed decisions. When I can't hear Him on a matter, I tell Him that even though I'm lost without Him I'm going to do my best to make a choice to please Him; sometimes He just says He wants to know what I would like in a given situation ❤ because He loves me and values my individuality & preferences too.

I keep the Sabbath, but I don't go around preaching that everyone's gonna burn in hellfire for not keeping it, I do it to show my love for God, that's what the commandments and works are for. Those two commandments are a summary of the entire Bible.

This kind of message always makes me paranoid and has kept me feeling guilty from enjoying God given things like family, food, nature, or ... staying alive? And how do we determine if we are putting those things before God, I mean we can't do anything if we don't enjoy being alive.

When I read your comment, I was reminded of 1 Timothy 6:6-8; "(6)Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. (7)After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. (8)So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content..." Your family, provision, health etc. are all blessings from God, but there is a difference between contentment and idolatry. When we begin to desire and pursue our blessings to the point of seeking our deepest satisfaction from them, we've crossed over to the side of idolatry, which means we've put those things before God. Our deepest satisfaction should be found in God and Him alone, even with our blessings. So as you enjoy your blessings, always remember that your deepest pleasure and joy can only be found in God as you continue to delight yourself in Him. Blessings

Yup this is true stuff - my biggest downfall is pleasure - I’ll naturally do anything for pleasure and God gets pushed aside. From musical pleasure, buying stuff, sexual delights, love of sleeping, eating excessively and much more. Proverbs 21:17
Same here dude, I have many times given into such things. But sometimes I forget that it IS POSSIBLE to live a life according to God's will. I encourage you man to find joy in the Lord and seek out fellow Christ- ians for fellowship- NEVER suffer alone, seek and you will find answers to the questions you are looking for. @Gentile Pride it also clearly defines the lines not to cross though, God definitely wants us to enjoy food, but not gluttony, and he wants us to enjoy sex, but not out of marriage- and to that point between man and woman. He truly does love us and want the best for us, more than we love ourselves, and more than we could ever know, that is how deep his love is. Of course, there are still questions that I have myself, but the hope and joy of knowing that my God loves me is something that is worth seeking the truth and wrestling with the tougher questions. I have a question… how can one not feel bad for knowing that they actually deserve to be in hell? Like how do we learn to love God without being overcome with guilt and shame? I understand accepting Him as your Lord and Savior but I still feel guilty or too undeserving to accept His love…

This past week I made the decision to give up some of my social media because I was just getting stressed out with people, news, the world etc. It is now apparent that the decision was ultimately in favor of the lord. Dear brothers and sisters i greet you in our Lord Jesus Christ Four years ago, I began to engage in faith. I started here in Croatia in the catholic church to visit mass and to read The Holy Scriptures. Very early on, I noticed that what is taught and practiced in the catholic church contradicts the Holy Scriptures and what Jesus taught us. In addition, some things in the Holy Bible were unclear to me and raised additional questions and doubts, such as: - If our God is the God of love and justice, why are we punished for the sins of Adam? Doesn't that contradict the principles of love and justice? An earthly father who is full of faults and weaknesses would not do such a thing, then how can we think such a thing about our Perfect Father? - How can a loving father throw his child forever in the hell? That also contradicts these principles. And besides, in 1 Timothy 2; 3 + 4: "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." So, if this were really so, that in spite of His will, people will be brought forever to hell and not saved, this would mean that He can not enforce His will and thus He is not the omnipotent God, if we follow these doctrines believe. - Why does it say in some passages that Jesus is the Son of God, in others the Son of Man and in others that He and God are one? Although I kept going to the Catholic Mass, at home I no longer practiced the prayers of the catholic church, but started talking like a child to my Father (Matthew 6: 7 + 8 ). After a short while, I got the answer to everything. He guided me through a friend of my mother to the revelations of Bertha Dudde. Now I know that the Bible does not contradict itself. God can not contradict himself. The truth is not in the word, in the letter, but in the understanding, in the interpretation of it. I wrote down the part about pain because it awakened me to the realization that since the pain is so distracting it's gotta be the reason why it's hard for me to bring in God's presence! I have to keep asking myself the question: do I want to be comforted more than I want to embrace God and glorify Him by showing how much more valuable He is more than I value to be free from the pain. Thank you so much for this video! I will try to put this into practice! Pray for me to succeed! Sometimes I'm miserable and I want to leave this earth so bad! But do I want to leave this earth more than I want to be with Jesus? I prayed to God the last few days, "how can I glorify you?" And this showed up. The day my dad passed away, his birthday was literally yesterday, marked a rough spot in my relationship with God. But I am trying to conquer my doubts and things that get in the way of glorifying him. Bless you!
Same here. I was deeply saddened but was thankful for the time I had with my dad and his love for me. It made me realize I have a Heavenly Father who will never leave me or cause me to feel disappointed, and He’s always there for me. I’ve grown closer to God since my dad’s passing, weirdly enough because of that.

So this whole sermon is very instructive, but there is a blind spot about this orange juice sermon, which borders on selfishness.
Basically, Christian hedonism is only a means of taking advantage of one's privileges as a white male, without wondering if at the end of this marvelous chain of privileges, there is not a worker who is Mexican, African, Chinese, Greek, Ukrainian or Indian, who has been wronged in this marvelous story, to the point of being driven to suicide, divorce, illness or witchcraft in an attempt to ward off his misfortune.
It's called: white privilege. And it seems that even male white Christians have quickly found a comfortable place there.
In short! It was a good sermon and I was blessed but Christians have to ask themselves these questions and hold the breach in the face of these injustices.

But reading your question convinces me that no matter what proof or evidence that would be presented of the Resurrection of Christ, you would not believe it if you don't set aside the "hoaxes" you claim the Biblical authors stated or the disciples had (the story, eyewitnesses, backdated accounts, empty tomb and such). I do believe in the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus because it is essential to the Christian Faith that Christ did die for sins and rose again to prove His power over death and God's declaration of His Son's victory and atonement over sin and death. If Christ wasn't raised then our Faith is in vain. I have not seen it with my own eyes but I have faith and believe so (not blindly or based on delusional belief but that the testimony of a supernatural power of God works through my life and changes me is evidence for a fact that I know it's real.) Historical evidences points out to the validity of Christ's Resurrection not only in terms of Biblical accounts but secular sources after that time attest of it (then again you stated that scholarly accounts and books aren't sufficient evidences for you despite their credibility and careful examined accounts of Jesus being a real person in History who came, was crucified on a cross, died and rose again) the testimonies of the disciples are not mere made-up claims (they couldn't make it up if you take account of what was being taught by the prophecies of the Messiah at that time which occured years before the coming of Jesus...). The testimony of the disciples is one thing that stood true to me, if Jesus didn't really rise from the dead then these disciples would just scatter and not witness to a Christ who wasn't resurrected, but the evidence that these disciples were willing to die for this man Jesus even to suffer persecution for their witness gives you a thought of why were they willing to sacrifice their lives for a cause that didn't happen? They weren't crazy that for a fact we know according to historical documented accounts, they saw something "supernatural and extraordinary" that they were willing to die for it.

But, the moment that we prioritise these “good things” over the creator, we forget His greatness and have created an idol.
I pray continually for God to help me empty my heart and mind of my worldly preoccupations and to fill them with The Holy Spirit. May The Lord help us all to triumph over doubt, anxiety, depression, loneliness and the temptations that lay before us. Let's see, a few thoughts on each of the points of the example of Orange Juice:
-Taking time now and then to view the blessings with which you are given in more depth, and how even the most foundational points of them can be gifts in their separate and own right: that further, the circumstances arising such that you can partake of something good is also a gift from Him.
Not being ashamed of recognizing this, but being willing to share it and say it meaningfully: not merely recognizing His goodness and glory, but being willing to publicly recognize it.
-Seeking to praise and pray to God with thankfulness in prayer: not praying to be seen (against the teaching of Christ), but rather praying that He may be seen.
-Remembering three things: God's grace, His mercy, and His love being met at the cross.
Without His mercy [mercy being a lifting or postponing of just punishment that we deserve], we would already have been condemned to what we actually deserve: condemnation as sinners. Hell.
Without His grace [multifaceted, but in this sense the giving of something good that we are not deserving] and love [another facet of grace, in this case the will to our good - even though none of us can profit Him], none of us would have or could have been saved by the blood of Christ.
God sends His rain on the just and the unjust: mercy to the unjust, and loving grace to the just. In both cases it should be met with thankfulness, even if we fail.
If you've repented and placed your trust in Christ, your sins are forgiven: found yourself in Christ's love, then, and let gratitude and love motivate you as you move forward.
-The specificity and wonder of good things that God has given us are reflections of His goodness and His wonders. Nothing good fails to trace its way back to Him: meditating about that specific gleam of God's goodness, even in the 'simple' things, can and should be spiritually enriching.
-Being founded and motivated by the love shown to us through the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus our Lord, we should thus naturally seek to share His goodness and His gifts towards us with others.
Sharing what gifts? I do not think only the physical gifts or special insights, but also one's talents and time.
If relationship with God is foundational to purpose of our existence, sharing Him that others may come to that relationship, and growing good relationships with others, then, are both true reflections of God's glory and ways to bolster our own relationship with Him.

By putting God before us in the things we do and giving glory to God when we do them. However we are sinful idolators so it's easier said than done, which is why prayer is so important as we cannot do it without the Holy Spirit.

My experience of existence feels like it would be nice to be able to ask detailed specific questions about this teaching without fear of punishment.

I have always seen this verse about doing all to the glory of God as a call to enter into a relational conversation with Him about the activities of life...
I glorify God by talking to Him about all that I do, or intend to do, and listening to what He says.
My body is His Spirit's temple so I want to know what makes Him happy and comfortable in here, does He see a need in His temple for a particular food or drink, does His temple need sleep, rest or exercise? Will He be pleased if I listen to a certain song or dance in a particular way? What does life look like in relationship with God in every aspect of my life??
To glorify Him, in need to listen to what He says is going to bring Him glory and then do that ❤ rather than making my own choices on what I do with my body (which is actually His temple) or my life (which I actually gave up at salvation & now live for & through & to Him) and then asking Him to bless my self willed decisions.
When I can't hear Him on a matter, I tell Him that even though I'm lost without Him I'm going to do my best to make a choice to please Him; sometimes He just says He wants to know what I would like in a given situation ❤ because He loves me and values my individuality & preferences too.

I keep the Sabbath, but I don't go around preaching that everyone's gonna burn in hellfire for not keeping it, I do it to show my love for God, that's what the commandments and works are for. Those two commandments are a summary of the entire Bible.

This kind of message always makes me paranoid and has kept me feeling guilty from enjoying God given things like family, food, nature, or ... staying alive? And how do we determine if we are putting those things before God, I mean we can't do anything if we don't enjoy being alive.
Hi there, there is no need to feel guilty or paranoid about enjoying the blessings and favour of God. When I read your comment, I was reminded of 1 Timothy 6:6-8;
"(6)Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. (7)After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. (8)So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content..."
Your family, provision, health etc. are all blessings from God, but there is a difference between contentment and idolatry. When we begin to desire and pursue our blessings to the point of seeking our deepest satisfaction from them, we've crossed over to the side of idolatry, which means we've put those things before God. Our deepest satisfaction should be found in God and Him alone, even with our blessings. So as you enjoy your blessings, always remember that your deepest pleasure and joy can only be found in God as you continue to delight yourself in Him.

@Gentile Pride it also clearly defines the lines not to cross though, God definitely wants us to enjoy food, but not gluttony, and he wants us to enjoy sex, but not out of marriage- and to that point between man and woman. He truly does love us and want the best for us, more than we love ourselves, and more than we could ever know, that is how deep his love is. Of course, there are still questions that I have myself, but the hope and joy of knowing that my God loves me is something that is worth seeking the truth and wrestling with the tougher questions. I have a question… how can one not feel bad for knowing that they actually deserve to be in hell? Like how do we learn to love God without being overcome with guilt and shame? I understand accepting Him as your Lord and Savior but I still feel guilty or too undeserving to accept His love…

B - Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Jesus from the dead. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was.
Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
C - Call upon the name of the Lord. Every single person who ever lived since Adam will bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Lord of lords and the King of kings.

This past week I made the decision to give up some of my social media because I was just getting stressed out with people, news, the world etc. It is now apparent that the decision was ultimately in favor of the lord. Four years ago, I began to engage in faith. I started here in Croatia in the catholic church to visit mass and to read The Holy Scriptures. Very early on, I noticed that what is taught and practiced in the catholic church contradicts the Holy Scriptures and what Jesus taught us. In addition, some things in the Holy Bible were unclear to me and raised additional questions and doubts, such as:
- If our God is the God of love and justice, why are we punished for the sins of Adam? Doesn't that contradict the principles of love and justice? An earthly father who is full of faults and weaknesses would not do such a thing, then how can we think such a thing about our Perfect Father?
- How can a loving father throw his child forever in the hell? That also contradicts these principles. And besides, in 1 Timothy 2; 3 + 4: "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."
So, if this were really so, that in spite of His will, people will be brought forever to hell and not saved, this would mean that He can not enforce His will and thus He is not the omnipotent God, if we follow these doctrines believe.
- Why does it say in some passages that Jesus is the Son of God, in others the Son of Man and in others that He and God are one?
Although I kept going to the Catholic Mass, at home I no longer practiced the prayers of the catholic church, but started talking like a child to my Father (Matthew 6: 7 + 8 ). After a short while, I got the answer to everything. He guided me through a friend of my mother to the revelations of Bertha Dudde. Now I know that the Bible does not contradict itself. God can not contradict himself. The truth is not in the word, in the letter, but in the understanding, in the interpretation of it. Now I know that Jesus is God and our Father in heaven, and I understand all the processes and contexts, and through this I have come to know that He is the perfect Love and not the strict, punitive God. As he promised us in John 14; 21: "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. "
16; 12 + 13: "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. "
16; 25: "These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. "
In the revelations of Bertha Dudde, His promise was fulfilled, just as every other of His promises was and will be fulfilled, for He never quits (Titus 1: 2) because His word is truth (John 17; 17) and all that will happen is what He said has (Hebrews 10; 23, Ezekiel 12; 25:28, etc.)

Before you begin to look, go into prayer and ask our Father Jesus Christ for enlightenment to put you in your heart, whether that's really His word or not. Do not read with your mind or knowledge, but with your heart, for knowledge (knowledge, understanding) puffeth up, love (heart) edifieth (1 Corinthians 8: 1), for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life (2 Corinthians 3: 6).

This is great! I wrote down the part about pain because it awakened me to the realization that since the pain is so distracting it's gotta be the reason why it's hard for me to bring in God's presence! I have to keep asking myself the question: do I want to be comforted more than I want to embrace God and glorify Him by showing how much more valuable He is more than I value to be free from the pain. Thank you so much for this video! I will try to put this into practice! Pray for me to succeed! Sometimes I'm miserable and I want to leave this earth so bad! But do I want to leave this earth more than I want to be with Jesus? I don't think so because to leave here means to be with Him but I am so distracted by my pain that I need to ask myself these questions often!
You are still here because there is at least one person for whom you and you alone are the proper witness. Your testimony of your pain, your failure and how Yahway healed and strengthened and guided and loved you, will lead someone else, another of God's children, into the light.
I am sorry to read about your pain and struggles. May God send you comfort and solace each day anew. Sometimes I struggle with God, on why he would allow persisting pain in a good person’s life...but I am sure of this one thing: God isn’t done with you yet. He has yet greater things to show you.
