- I had a 2,000RPM idle. When I would blip the throttle hard the idle would come back down to 750rpm but any touch of the throttle would cause it to rise back to 2000rpm. car drove and started fine. no other issues. Hope this helps you solve your idle issues or rule out some things.

When I rev it, it sometimes dips to low and would shut off hopefully its the spring or I'll have to increase the idle like he said in the video. Thank man this video helped me a lot now I know some what where to start.

ive got a series 1 stagea that stalls at idle and refuses to allow me to restart until it has settled down. the problem only happens until the engine has warmed up. it has taken 5 years for me to establish the cause - the idle compensator. i'm sure of this. ive just got to pull my finger out and de-carbonise it. i hope this helps someone. i am absolutely excited over those hose remover pliers i saw you use early on in the video. ive never seen them before. i need them.

The KA was too. Bring it here and we can do it in my garage. I got some nice wrenches that could help
What if its just surging?
Idle might be set too low. What rpm are you idling at? Surging could be a vacuum leak as well

Eventually I’ll get there but my videos don’t get the most “impressions” meaning they pop up after other videos so what I aim for is a title that someone may google or ask RUclips. I’ve tried click bait titles and pictures but they do so poorly.. 😩
