Thanks. I would agree. From what I’ve read Page was pretty deep into heroin by then so Plant and Jones did most of the writing for the album. But who knows.
Glad it helps. I took a 25 year absence from the instrument myself. To me the most interesting part was how differently I approach my playing now than I did when I was younger. Thanks again for listening.
Hi Peter, I love Germany. Been there several times. I forget the exact tuning, but it’s probably C# on the batter 277 and F# on the snare side 372. That’s my usual starting point for snare tuning then I adjust from there. I typically leave the snare side at 372 and adjust the batter head up or down depending on what sounds best on the particular drum and what sound I want for the song. I just did two songs where I used my 60’s bronze Slingerland snare, and had the tuning pretty close to what you mention, I think the batter was at 252 and the snare side I cranked up to 392 and it sounded great on that drum.
Very nice work, David. I think this record was really underrated.

nice job, I actually learned to play the referee whistle to this song.
Very smooth!
Thanks!
Wow, loved listening and looking at this cover.

Thanks Jose. Appreciate you listening.
Thanks. This is a great demonstration of how to play it.
Thanks. Impossible to match Bohnam’s feel on this groove.
@@DavidKDrums As a person coming back to drumming after 25 years, I'll be happy to get the mechanics right. This video helps.

Well watch Yoyoka Soma play this song if you want the best cover version...or any Bonham song.
Solid! 👍
Thanks!
Excellent, and it's fun to watch you make it look easy. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for the compliment and for listening.
Nice job, very good stamina. Not an easy song to play through in one recording and do it well as you did.
Thanks Ken. Yeah, it’s quite a long piece.
Good chops man. 🎶🎶
Thanks. And thanks for listening. Don’t quite have the Bonham feel but who does.
