I just watch a father with his 3 kids do a fool in the rain and it was pretty good If you wanna see it "Colt Clark and the quarantine kids" "A fool in the rain" You won't be sorry
This song was never performed live because the group didn't think the sound came off well. The piano was quite necessary in the song, but with John Paul Jones on piano there could be no bass, and the bass is very important in this one. There is also a twelve-string line at one point in the song and the guitar solo that has to be pulled off. The middle section was another issue.
+Stephanie Broadwater That's really interesting. But I'd think finding a bass and twelve string musicians would be fairly easy. Jimi Hendrix, for example, had Dave Mason play twelve string for All Along the Watchtower. But then again that was studio. Hendrix performed this song live without Mason. Hendrix was a force of nature, to quote Jack Bruce. Thanks for your information.
I’m fairly sure that to play LZ songs you need every instrument twice to get it right if you’re not the originals... evolving/changing tact, speed... not to mention the solos etc
Grand statement. It's very true, and it's not even really close. Their diversity is why. 3:44 His best studio lead of all time, IMO. From the offbeat, unexpected moment he starts it off to the melodic way he wonderfully fits in rapid fire and beautifully pieced together notes into Jones's rhythmic piano playing and Bonham's samba style drumming; then ends it at just the perfect moment - a brilliantly arranged (and produced) song by James Patrick Page.
@@brownbeats13 You are an idiot to come on here and make a statement like that. You dont know Led Zeppelin music . I bought the album the first week it came out. The song that Page had little to do with and he is not all that fond of is "All My Love", also on "In Through The Outdoor." Page wrote "Fool in the Rain" with Plant and Jones. Only a fool hearing "Fool In The Rain" can think that the guitarist playing on it doesnt like it.
Another classic Led Zep hybrid type song which this time combines reggae/pop/rock. Has such a fun, positive vibe about which lifts one's spirits with the opening bars. That drum beat of Bonzo's is irresistible.
@@alienduce-unocero The middle part is samba, the rest of the song certainly has some "reggae" elements mixed in with a blues shuffle. Emphasis on the third beat with a six over four pattern laid on top and a hi hat on the 2 and 4.
