Grounded Gameplay of the new Grounded Update by Mediocre Milton but not with Sir Sim-Alot or JADECRAFT, there's also no Blitz Grounded or Jade PG, oh and no ImCade or Fynnpire either, Obsidian Entertainment made the Grounded New Update
How cool would it be to have weather events like heavy rain that floods parts of the garden. Or freezing temps with snow fall covering the garden and freezing over the pond. Dynamic weather events that actually change gameplay would be awesome.
Makes sense. We already burn in the sandbox
should have had weather in the launch for the game . even the forest did . a big disappointment . haven’t played in months waiting on updates and none have brought me back yet

@@mikeylz7271 Wdym launch? The game hasn’t even been finished yet, what we are playing atm is early, granted its been a few years now but you shouldnt expect big stuff like that on early access.
They added a hot spring that heals.... thats amazing but I think they can do one better..... hear me out..... buildable hot tub for your base! Use some of the everchar coal chunks, acorn shells, weed stems, lint rope and maybe even gum to make a little healing tub for your base after a long day of adventuring and almost being eaten by bugs. I'd love to see this!!!
Instead of gum, use lily pad wax cuz its hydrophobic, and bug rubber because bug rubber only has one use
I wonder if maybe in the NE corner of the yard we might see like a vegetable garden? I think there could be a lot of diversity in an area like that and they could go crazy on recipes
I was thinking of that and a new large creature like the bird or the koi fish..... a white tailed rabbit

If you look closely in the shroom and doom update, you can see a second hedge and a lawn mower

Id like a jungle type of biome, with overgrown weeds and grass, an old rusted swingset. Maybe some mayan ruins type of thing
The scarab Beatle is supposed to be a nod to the dark souls twinkling lizard. It runs from you then disappears and if you kill it fast you get a twinkling titanite shard that lets you level up your weapons more lol 😆.

Would love it if we could adjust our difficulty on games we had already started. I'd quite happily ditch weapon durability but it's not worth restarting a game for.
Drop that idea on their discord, they do a pretty good job of listening to the fans on there.
I'm glad your using your platform to give feedback. People might hate on you for speaking up but Obsidian is literally asking for this type of feedback to improve the game. Especially being probably the biggest Grounded content creator rn.

My favorite thing is the infected wolf spider. I like to watch from the tree as he goes around destroying everything in it's path.
It looks super cool! I'm just not a fan of fighting it. It's a nightmare to fight head on & it doesn't drop any new resources so there's really no reason to go near other than to look at it & hear the alien like sounds it makes lol.
The design of the area & the Black Ox Beetle are awesome. Those are the types of new additions I was expecting, I just wanted more of it. A lot of quality of life changes that are nice & always welcome. Customization is always a good thing. Being able to custom create my next playthrough is gonna be nice to try out.
Definitely expected more content but I guess we'll have to wait until the next update.
@@MediocreMilton Yeah, I'll honestly probably do a new playthrough & see how different the progression feels with customizing the game.
The negativity was very focussed on specific changes and the videos all seemed to be pretty clear that they were about those changes rather than the entire update. I think that the issues needed to be addressed when they were because if the game stops being fun then the content added to the game would be diminished.
It is usually a good idea to give some kind of well done to soften the blow of a critique but the changes were jarring enough that ettiquette might have softened the dislike and the subsequent alterations might not have been as good.
Agree with pretty much all of this.
I was really NOT looking forward to the game become very grindy! I would play Ark if I wanted that.
I really like the new area’s, I was half expecting some kind of refrigeration to come with it. Who knows maybe we'll still see it coming using the minty globs or gems, who knows.
A cold biome would definitely make sense so maybe it comes in the next update?

They could make an overturned cooler with ice, cold biome!
Your feed back was good in my book about the nerfs and how to make the game better.
Without feedback the game will never improve.
It not the feedback that was a problem. It always how the feedback is presented. The RUclips videos was a little bit whining, too long, and too early. There is a way too show concerned without being a Debbie downer. It took only a few hours before there so much doomsaying and complaining while people were spreading the video. These changes are common among tests.
@@TheBlakamon15 I agree with this comment 100 percent. I seen someone try to tell him to be more patient that those changes would happen which is true. But he got upset saying if it wasn't for him and his videos no changes would happen to the game and made a potential subscriber not subscribe. I agree the last couple videos have been long crap on the game.
I started a new game for this update, and I don't think I could use the resource scanner until I finished the hedge lab. I think the cutscene when you turn on the power is what activates the scanners.
Also, I deliberately built the way up to my oak tree base a bit away from the tree on the pond side so I could avoid the infected and regular wolf spiders. Right now the infected is stuck in a root. I don't go close enough to worry about it, and nothing has been problematic enough for me to reset, so I just left him there lol. I also somehow have a wolf spider stuck partway up the tree on the inside of it...but as it's a bit below where I put the nearest level, it doesn't aggro either so I just ignore the noises.
You weren't being negative that may have been perceived by a few people.
People need to know the difference between hostile/cruel negativity and constructive criticism.
This is just an issue in general with people. There are a lot of people out there who don't see criticism as constructive but just being negative
Thanks for seeing that. Complaining is just being negative with no solutions I always suggest changes to address the things I don't like.
Man that customize game part is awesome. The daily quest system for getting science is terrible imo. I like the survival/base building, but the missions are boring. I like unlocking things via the story missions, but having to save up raw science always rubbed me raw…. Yup. I did that.
The trick to scarabs is just walking. You'll have time to aim and shoot and if you 'walk' after they run you'll get many chances to aim and shoot again. At least this works for me. You do have to watch for other enemies being around of course.
Tip for infected wolf spiders: spicy coaltana. This thing *mows* through them.
Also they can spawn anywhere that fungal growth takes over a natural spawn area for a wolf spider(such as under the shed deck next to the broken pots)
They're honestly the creepiest infected imo, mostly due to the fricken EXPOSED INSIDES
Spicy Coaltana is okay but not the best. I tested all the best weapons against them and in order the best are: Mint Mace, Fresh Club of the Mother Demon, Fresh Black Ox Hammer, Crow Crossbow with Mint Arrows, Fresh Antlion Greatsword then Spicy Coaltana. It takes twice as many hits with the Coaltana to kill them than any of the other options listed.
I think things like the grinder and spinning wheel starting using the "Pull" feature last update. However more than 4 slots is new and a very welcome.
They should add an unlock-able feature thru brgl that allows you to use the scanner remotely. The scan for certain bugs like the new green ones that run around all over will be gone by the time you get there. Either that or have the scan do live updates for you after you scan it.
I am arachnophobic yet I still seem to like the spiders in grounded. I guess because it makes a good enemy for me. However I saw they added black widowlings under the tarp and then took them away just before the update went public.
I am most frightened of black widows and I sort of dread the possibility of a black widow fight. However if they do add that it's web should be tier 4 rope. They have some of the strongest web of any spider.
Grinder only had 4 as well. I know because I have a brick farm, and I’m only using 3 grinders. And it uses 12 mushroom chunks at a time. But it yields 120 slurry’s
So you have to start a new game to get custom settings? Bummer. Can you turn stuff on and off at will or are you stuck with the settings once you start it?

I like the resource stations, iam glad I've been building bases near FSs and thank God they backpedaled those shitty weapon nerfs a bit.
Also, I hope we can make hot tubs in the future. Would be very handy.
Hmm, I wonder. Maybe mark spider fangs, to know where all the wolf spiders are to easily avoid them? Been defeating them easily, but would help avoid fights if I don't want to deal with them.
So spicy was the meta in hot n hazy and I guess minty is the new meta as far as insect weakness?

I'm already looking forward to the possibility of eventually gaining access to the neighbors yard. I know that would be a ways away, but this game has so many possibilities.
Im on xbox 1. Into the wood is awesome. Game is starting to break down tho. Multi player crashes or host being unable to invite friends. Invisible weapon(cool glitch) options not there in the workbench or inventory. The termite boss was cool. The green stink bug seems to get himself stuck in the ground or on the cap gun when it does that cool gas n dash attack. Scarabs were hard till we started using poison an super gas arrows to catch them. I think the new WOOD ambiance sounds like the Tropics and is now my favorite place to build at.
I think parry master should be a default mutation. Getting the stamina back on perfect block just makes the combat much more fluid and fun
I recently found out you can put berry chunks on a jerky rack to make leather cheaper. Can you do the same with the pupa pieces ?
I assume it works like functionally the same with everything like that. For a longer wait period, you use less resources.
I hope the ant Queen is a broodmother-level boss fight

You don’t need to sit in the coal springs it give u a stat effect that heals u over time it it lasts a min or 2 when out of the spring

I don't like how I have to kill 5 black ox beetles in order to make the hammer, they take too long to respawn and aren't the easiest to kill

It would be nice, but since all the infected wolf spider drops could be gotten elsewhere maybe it could drop infected fangs instead of regular fangs.

I stopped playing the game all together because of how annoying it is to constantly repair my gear. The game is broken and I won't be back until they fix it. I wad enjoying the new area but when you need to repair every piece of gear you have daily...you lost me. Devs please fix this...🙏

The switch at the end of the Hedge lab activates them. If you already completed it they will be on.
@@MediocreMilton Thanks. I stopped playing around the hot and hazy update and trying to catch up now. It’s confusing with all the new stuff. Haze lab is pretty important to complete ASAP

When will the update be public
Will we be able to convert our current worlds to custom or are those options locked out unless you start a new world?
As of right now it's only available at save creation, then the settings are locked for that save.
I don't have a favorite next time come early if you are a fan of the game all that you should already know I been playing custom games since the pts started like the content just put it out quicker

the audio on this is WAY too low. i usually watch videos with sound at 30/100 and can hear everything easily, this video however i had to increase volume to 85/100 just to hear at a normal level. Please fix or hire someone who knows how to EQ sound.
