I don't think anyone mentioned that if you do break the egg sacks and mess with certain spider webs in your video you can see the wolf spider come over and check out what that "noise" was. So be careful breaking egg sacks etc.
Added tip for collecting juice, if you clip multiple ones just inside one another when the juice drop fills the first one up it will begin filling the next. Also, beware of cloth inside of the trashcan in the garbage pile, you can get yourself soft-locked rather easily. For the transport on ziplines if you properly line up the zip line when the stems reach the destination they will neatly stack inside the zip bracket at its base (it will hold a full pallet before spilling out on the ground). Best tip on making ? smoothies is to use stems in the grinder at 5 stems for 40 grass fiber. If you pair this with some sap makers at the oak tree you will never have worry of running out of bandages. In a pinch you can visit the "sprig forest" near the porch and berry area. You do not need 3 different items, three sprigs or clovers is the fastest before having the grinder. Currently if you drop five mushroom pieces just past the juice box at the pond you will draw dozens of weevils that allow you an endless amount of food and repair materials for your weevil shield before you get the ant shield (no need for your infamous food trap setup, they wander up by the dozens this way). I built drying racks here to easily create stacks of dried food snacks. Now that the hammer has a normal attack speed it has become the best low tier weapon to smash ladybugs with early on in the game before you ever get the ant club or if you just prefer the "sword and shield" route. It is absolutely worth it to upgrade that insect hammer as soon as you can now. Thank you Milton for everything you do here bro, you truly help keep this game alive while we slam into the wall of content patience quarter after quarter.
600D Medium 150D Woah and didn't realise you could shoot petals!! Thanks Milton!! Yeah I learnt the multiple water container trick by mistake because for some reason I couldn't get the container to fill up - it either missed or just glitched so I placed more down which fixed things. For Antshield, I just equip full Roly Armour and hold block (LT on Xbox) in front of lawn mites for a a short time to fully repair the shield without needing 4 black Ant parts (but DON'T perfect block as this doesn't work; if your shield is about to break, perfect blocking the mites WILL break the shield (eventually)). On Medium, I only use one handed melee weapons now+carry Crossbow too; Lv 9 Ox Hammers in Mighty/Fresh and Spicy forms and Morningstar for salt weak enemies. I leave the Mint Mace/Coaltana/Antlion Sword on display racks at home gathering dust! A Lv 9 Fresh Ox Hammer trivialises the Infected Wolf fight better than Coaltana (IMHO) plus its easier to maintain timing parries because being single handed uses less stamina so you run the risk of getting bit less! What's strange is a Mighty Ox Hammer beats Ox Beetles easier then the Morningstar even though the Beetles are weak to salt.....*shrugs*. I'm not sure in Woah whether the above combat tactics will work as well as I still need to unlock quartzite/spicy globs....if the two handed weapons were just a tad faster it would balance things nicely....IMO
Don't forget about the ant armor before you build your base, the plus hauling capacity makes it a lot easier.. Combining it with the "grass master?" and you fill your pellet and stem storages in no time ;)
A tip for building a safe base, the lily pads have burgl nearby, aswell as easily accessible food and the juice box, which can provide juice drops. The lilypads are a safe, sorta centralized area to build a decently large base.
@@zirsos8610 lmao, yeah man, the wolf spiders just yeet themselves onto my lily pad bases now 😂 plus it’s scary trying to find spots to do the bow and arrow cheese stuff on them bc they’ll also yeet themselves up onto branches when u try to 😭
Back in the day when grounded first came out, the Spit Roast, would let food spoil when left on the spit. I'm so glad they did change it to make it not spoil. It feels way better balanced.
It spoils again now in 1.0 I think I let it sit for a while a killed any ants that got near as a test to this since 1.0 came out and it will eventually disappear and spoiled meat will appear on the ground
Here’s a good tip on the fastest and effective way to collect spider webs. My base is near the koi pond by the juice box. I would lure an orb weaver spider to me and I run up on the thorn plant. I just sit there and let the spider shoot tons of webs at me. Sometimes I collect over a hundreds in a matter of minutes. Now, you have zip lines everywhere! Lol
The Jerky Rack 1:1 is a game changer. I've spent a whole day collecting berries, and it's frustrating to have 100 and it only comes out to 30ish. Now I can have the amount I want! This game is so amazing, I think I've dropped 20hrs in the past 2 days.
I think a big thing to mention is how front heavy this game is. It’s very hard at first to survive, but once you hit tier 2 stuff, you are god amongst insects.
Fortunately with the addition of the upper yard, there’s a new level of difficulty for the “end game”. Now when you’re a god amongst the lower insects, you still face difficulty with the upper insects.
Alot of these points have been nerfed with the newest update. The fact that the wolf spider can now climb stairs and jump upto 2-3 levels of buildings is a game changer. This is the outdated game version as burgl dosent offer jobs but needs to be done thru the computer after palm scanning.
The first wolf spider I ever killed, it was early game, I just got the any outfit. Went into the lab and a wolf spider somehow spawned in thee opening hallway. The thing is, it was so large, it couldn't turn around to attack me, and I needed to get in there so I spanked it until it died.
When it comes to getting materials for questionable smoothies for healing, one option is bringing weed stems to the Grinder. Each stem gives 8 Plant Fibers, so you can get 40 Fibers from one go, making 13 smoothies. If you have a base near the pond you can pair that with 13 Muscle Sprouts without much trouble.
One tip I have for maxing parry master if your on co-op is to ask your friend to repeatedly stab you with a pebblet spear. Using this I got parry master 3/3 in roughly 10 minutes.
When fighting in the pond with either spear or dagger, the attack speed will be slower. Instead of spamming the attack button, press the attack button and then quickly press the block button, and then repeat. This will get you considerably faster atttack speed.
Pro tip.. (not that useful in later game) Build 3 square floors in a line. Box off the two boxes on the edges.. all four sides and then add a floor. Build the water collector in the center square that's been left open. (You can close it off on the front and back if you'd like) Finally, build the dew collector and place it on the two outer boxes. Position the collector so that the dew collected can just fall directly into the catcher below. Decorate as desired :)
Another tip: you can cancel the cool down on attacks by blocking. Cancel after the third hit with your axe/hammer to break grass/weeds/rocks faster, or with a two handed weapon to continue comboing and get a higher dps
One other easy early game weapon is the rotten bee stinger spear. You might need a gill tube though but you can find the spear in between the teeth of T Rex in the pond depths.
There is a line of 4 or so lily pads that ends directly above an oxygen bubble that comes out of a cracked pipe. I used those bubbles to get that T-rex spear without any water equipment
Thank you so much; this is by far your best tips and tricks video! I have played Grounded since launch and didn't know about several of these great tips. The juice collector under the juice box straws and the Coup de Grass mutation affecting harvest speed were mind-blowing to hear you talk about. I can't believe that I didn't know about these sooner! I recommend your videos to everyone I know who plays Grounded! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, as well as these wonderful tips! Keep up the good work and I can't wait for your next video!
Not sure if you have recently tested Cardio Fan, but it now also provides a bonus to Exhaustion Recovery, which makes it much more useful than it used to be. The delay to refill your stamina when you spend it all is reduced quite a bit. Got me out of a pinch in quite a few fights when blocking tired me out and other attacks were incoming.
best food tip: the shroom dish in the oven. easier to get than hunting weevils or aphids when you are using the poison biome for quarz runs since this dish will be a by product on accident and even better than the roastpit food
Also the wolf spider by the hedge who sleeps under the leaves. You can build grass walls to lock him in and shot him through the holes. Also his legs clip through the leaves so you can stab him as well. It’s so cheese to harvest parts.
Unfortunately I did know all these from playing solo for so long! I remember when the game came out and the water collectors were a thing we tried to do this prematurely and It didnt work lol and then it does now. Another thing that I find interesting is rocks have a really good stun stat (its invisible because rocks arent technically weapons) and they can fill that stun meter for the bugs really fast, not super useful either way but interesting none the less. Another thing you can do that is admittedly finicky is, make a very (ideally high) zip line and make the angle very very steep and use it and when you are at max speed you can jump off and IMMEDIATELY use your glider to much better efficiency and travel much much farther than you could normally because of the speed bonus.
The any 3 combination smoothies are great if you add the gum to it because it makes a normal smoothie but with Regeration buff that is not a recipe anywhere else!
They should really make the food on spits spoil and instead add a craftable 'fridge' using Mints that acts as a container for preserving food. Make it slow meal spoilage down to like 3-4 in game days rather than the default. That would make the actual oven meals more viable as well since they'd be preservable too.
i pl;ayed this when it first came out and loved it. stopped playing for a while and because of all the updates my main base is unusable now. it was on top of the picnic table. other things i built around the garden were affected too and its a shame because i spent hours building everything
1:32 you can get it where they will constantly try to walk at the food but never get to it if you place a stem foundation around the food, and low enough where they can't cross it too, it's pretty cheap lol
A lot have a base around the Oak Tree just as I do. From building a porch/conservatory around Burgl's entrance I build upwards and to the left (as you look at the entrance); I created a pathway/girdle that surrounds the tree so I can get to safety easily (at night) from the Wolf spiders that are random. Yesterday I found an Infected Wolf in my base so if you take my approach with the girdle, be careful with access points on the tree as it appears their climbing powers have been improved (or maybe it spawned there?); NOTE: I was away from base for 5+ in game days....
That wolvespider scared the shit outta me today. I was farming there and it walked right behind me (didn’t hear any footsteps- nothing!). Then something begins to screech, I turn to check, big boi attacks me - „sup snack“.
I have 800 hours in the game and always thought I had to wait for that chipsleuth RNG for my BURGL chips…thank you from saving me that pain in future playthroughs 😅
If you also want parts early you could equip red ant armor and lure a bug to a red ant hill. It’s easy to keep the bug agro with a bow to lure it, and the soldiers will do tons of damage.
Love the video, glad i watched it before i ended up being in 500 hrs. You seriously rock! Another tip I THINK is helpful for mutations is red ants next to an ant hill. But that may be a bit of a later game farm.
For the parry master, you can also kill two birds with one stone. Use the weevil bait on the usual ant trail. When the ants are attacking the weevil, parry the attack and then kill off the weevil for food.
Quick tip for some BURGL quest.Wait to craft certain items.IE Bee shoulder pads.If you craft them before you get the quest you'll have to go and craft them again.
If you wait for red worker ants to harvest the food e.g apples you can pick it straight up out of their pincers and they will just make a noise and harvest more rinse and repeat for apples ,cookies , billy hog bits . You can do it when they are making aphid balls but they will walk off and take longer to start harvesting again
This must have been pre bug jumping, dont try to kill a wolf spider by standing on a root or rock it can and will jump up there. most bugs can jump now, and wolf spider in particular can jump high enough to get on top of the baseball, you need to be reaaaal high if you want to cheese a wolf spider like this. Also Cardio fan as well as some other mutations have changed. a lot of this video is outdated already. =(
Down in the ant nest that's near the kid case you can find a burgl chip and rotten bee armour also another place to kill wolf spiders at the oak tree is to go to the oak tree lab then go into the tunnel that leads to the wolf spiders then agro one you just need to enter the lab and it can't get you but you can use a bow
another thing i ended up learning myself is that when i use to use a latter and it was really slow, you can actually jump and grab back onto the latter over and over again. just jump and grab and jump and grab. and it speeds up the climbing a lot.
Just have to make sure it isn't the only route upstairs. Would be cool if we could climb ladders and still maintain the 'moving' function such as carrying pallets upstairs, it would break the realism a little but it would prevent such a reliance on ramp styled build designs imo.
@@simoncook5992 Uh. I started the save file maybe a week ago? I haven’t been playing for very long. But leaving them in the spit does not keep them from going bad for me. I can pull off a roast and open my inventory to spoiled meat.
I'm like 120 days into the game and currently building a castle by the pond. Haven't been to home base in like 10-15 in game days and went back earlier to collect some different supplies and all food on the 5 spits I have were all fine
Jumping and place a lean to is another good method of getting to hard to reach places. Used this method twice getting all the molars. Also not sure about that roast not spoiling. I've come back to base to see 9 spoiled meat on the floor around my campfires. This was on Woah mode though
Fun fact the weevil trap farm one works anyone i learned this on accident when i dropped a mishroom in the pond lab and there was like 10 weevils just chillin down there
So some updates have happened since. Spit Roasts don't preserve freshness anymore, however you do gain a fridge recipie from the Undershed Lab, and Salt and Spicy weapons should make food drop as Jerky and Cooked respectively. According to the Fandom page Mutations can not be gained and leveled by killing any passive mob such as weevils and aphids, for this I'd say since it's specifically to kill neutral or hostile mobs aim for either lawn mites or Red Ants. Also I skipped buying most of the Chip Mutations as they're just not worth it, with the one I did buy being the Max Stamina buff. Not sure if this works but killing the Infested Ladybug miniboss from The Haze area gives you a mutation that gives a chance for explosive punches, and I imagine it can be used to quickly level up the Fists mutation. Also Cardio Fan has been buffed to also decrease the Exhaustion timer
To anyone watching this in 2023, the Roasting Spit now does degrade food, so don't keep your cooked food on the roasting spit, unless you want spoiled meat.
I’ve got a tip for helping with repairing your gas mask near the lamps round the maps there’s an easy one near the tree there’s tons of gnats and they appear every gnat at the lamps so easy gnat fuzz for repairs
I got back into this game just this past week after not having played it for over a year or so, but played it quite a bit when it first came out. Appreciating the heck out of these tips. Thanks for the tips my guy. You got a sub and a like for taking the time to produce the content. Look forward to more. How do you stack stuff up to 25?
About cardio fan the perk. Its a perk that you must use with other stamina perks to compound its effects . For instance meat shield and mithridatism together kind of multiply your effective health to poison damage. My point being yes a perk can be good on its own but perks that affect diffrent aspects of a stat can pair to massively increase viability. Buff lungs with natural explorer massively increases the distance you cover in between stamina drains and cardio fan resets ot faster ect ect
In probably the first 300 hours I only did the first three quests that you did for the main story quest, there very easy and I definitely recommend doing all of them at the start if your geared for it
Lily pad is best place to make base near the stick with a leaf spiders can’t jump if you go on lily pad that’s closest to leaf leaving you with a bow and arrows to kill it and camp on top of stick to kill lady bugs or go up on lvl 2 clovers so the lady bugs break it for you
my tip:learn to perfect block it may sound hard but with enough practice (and deaths) you can basically kill a wolf spider without anything but a weapon
I have 2 questions 1. For Daily quest is it in game daily or real time daily? 2. Do grass and weed stems grow back if you completely destroy them(stalk, stem)?
Here’s a tip: live on the tree, why? Well nothing can attack you sept for bees and mosquitoes!( and I know wolf spiders can jump at you, but if you get out of their sight you can avoid them)
I noticed hitting insects on their head does more damage to them… might be wrong but I checked on a soldier ant shooting it with a bow and the h ad shots did like 3/4 times more damage
If you look at the bug cards the ants weekspot is its eyes, that's why it did more damage. Lady bugs and rolly poly take more damage in the legs. And bombardier beetles take more damage if you hit their butt when they try and shoot you
Update for you man. Acorn L’s don’t spawn on til 48 hours in game. Not every 24 hours. Even with sleeping. Actively farming acorns as we speak and they are not spawning 24 hours. Just a heads up
I've mastered this game. I just completed this game on Whoa difficulty only using base armor/weapons, and no deaths. Only used upgraded tools when I needed too. I did indeed upgrade all my base armor to max, but that's it. My next run will be armor-less.
The recipe was there for me but the Rotten Red Ant Club was not. Went back several times on different days in real time. It's easier to craft a Red Ant Club.

I've played long enough to have towers and ziplines all over the map and this had *several good tips* I did not know. ✌
This video earned earned you my sub man thank you very much super helpful keep up the great content!!!
Love the video, glad i watched it before i ended up being in 500 hrs. You seriously rock! Another tip I THINK is helpful for mutations is red ants next to an ant hill. But that may be a bit of a later game farm.
the leather on the jerky rack is such a good one, saves so much on pupa leather
For the parry master, you can also kill two birds with one stone.
Use the weevil bait on the usual ant trail. When the ants are attacking the weevil, parry the attack and then kill off the weevil for food.
I came here from your Core Keeper channel. I love your tips and your content, thank you :)
Quick tip for some BURGL quest.Wait to craft certain items.IE Bee shoulder pads.If you craft them before you get the quest you'll have to go and craft them again.
As of 1.2, meat will spoil on a roasting spit
If you wait for red worker ants to harvest the food e.g apples you can pick it straight up out of their pincers and they will just make a noise and harvest more rinse and repeat for apples ,cookies , billy hog bits . You can do it when they are making aphid balls but they will walk off and take longer to start harvesting again
good stuff man, great video. over 50hrs here and i never even equipped a mutation lol
I always build my main base right behind the juice box, and as long as I’m careful I avoid most wolf spider interactions
Farming Wolf Spiders by the pond is the easy way by jumping on the straw of the Juice bag.
10:47 dude i just started the game and this is such a huge life saver tip ^^ thank you mate
So concise and well thought out. Subscribed ✌️
I used the plank tip to effectively cheese a roly poly. just stand on top of a rock and have a lot of planks and it won't even touch you
A quick tip get ant armour and a bow and shoot insects then run into the ant hill the ants will kill the insect then you can just harvest them
another thing i ended up learning myself is that when i use to use a latter and it was really slow, you can actually jump and grab back onto the latter over and over again. just jump and grab and jump and grab. and it speeds up the climbing a lot.
Just have to make sure it isn't the only route upstairs. Would be cool if we could climb ladders and still maintain the 'moving' function such as carrying pallets upstairs, it would break the realism a little but it would prevent such a reliance on ramp styled build designs imo.
Anyone else the a aphid flying away top left corner 2:18
On Xbox, the roasting spit does spoil food, as of yesterday. It reduces the timer on the spit.
That hasn't happened in my game, or is this on a fresh start game?
@@simoncook5992 Uh. I started the save file maybe a week ago? I haven’t been playing for very long. But leaving them in the spit does not keep them from going bad for me. I can pull off a roast and open my inventory to spoiled meat.
Mines only 10 days old and I've never had a problem with the roast spit in this save
I'm like 120 days into the game and currently building a castle by the pond. Haven't been to home base in like 10-15 in game days and went back earlier to collect some different supplies and all food on the 5 spits I have were all fine
That’s great. Why is mine spoiling then?
So many great tips!!!
5:52 THIS GOT PATCHED
Jumping and place a lean to is another good method of getting to hard to reach places. Used this method twice getting all the molars. Also not sure about that roast not spoiling. I've come back to base to see 9 spoiled meat on the floor around my campfires. This was on Woah mode though
Your game may be broken. Woah mode does not affect it at all. As of right now this is still an active feature.
Little tip for the crosbow if you shoot with and don’t want to reload then u shot and block and when u block it blocks the reload anamatioj
The rough reload make it so you don’t do any damage till it’s done
Great video man, informative and to the point👍
These are starter game essentials but the video was still helpful even if it didn't help me.
Also you went from starter stuff to a zipline come on lol that's pretty hard to get. Cant just go from 0 to 100 like that
I’m struggling so hard on this game. Thanx for the help
Fun fact the weevil trap farm one works anyone i learned this on accident when i dropped a mishroom in the pond lab and there was like 10 weevils just chillin down there
Bro I'm so stupid I didn't realise you could put the water collector under the juice boxes. I've been waiting for it to rain lol
It doesn’t rain
Using the canteen for water on console to hit the plant with fresh water then you can scoop em and keep em for later
I love this game so much, reminds me of Honey I shrunk the kids and Arthur and the Invisibles
To anyone watching this in 2023, the Roasting Spit now does degrade food, so don't keep your cooked food on the roasting spit, unless you want spoiled meat.
Any tips for gathering Aphid honeydew? Been wanting to explore the haze but it's a pain in the butt to keep repairing the gasmask
I’ve got a tip for helping with repairing your gas mask near the lamps round the maps there’s an easy one near the tree there’s tons of gnats and they appear every gnat at the lamps so easy gnat fuzz for repairs
They leave it near Clover. So you'll want to check big clusters of it.
Gather milk molars you have to have a tier 2 hammer and turn them in to burgl to upgrade your stack size
Yo moving all those planks was a life saver
Great tips. Bet you thought I'd bring them up. Nope, not going to say a word about them. 😎
Bunnies, there I did it for you
@@MediocreMilton I KNEW you secretly wanted bunnies. 😎
I dont play Grounded but these videos are awesome, i will try to install Grounded if i can
Wish this was there when I started I have around 400 hours now so I already know all of these and use them
In probably the first 300 hours I only did the first three quests that you did for the main story quest, there very easy and I definitely recommend doing all of them at the start if your geared for it
OP tip craft three grinders and put in weed stems then sleep you get hundreds of plant fibre
I found a backpack that had 5 shiny scarab in it that wasn't myn on solo. In wood pile :)
If I knew about the jerky rack leather trick sooner I would be much more prepared 😂
Hey light head! Hey Christmas tree!
You can cheese wolf spiders by luring them into the pond. They die almost immediately
Food spoils on spit now, but love the chair height trick
380 hours into the game and I had no clue there was an rotten ant club and some Totem lol
I have 2 questions
1. For Daily quest is it in game daily or real time daily?
2. Do grass and weed stems grow back if you completely destroy them(stalk, stem)?
1. In game daily so about 48 minutes
2. Yes unless you build a foundation on the spot the stem was growing from
Here’s a tip: live on the tree, why? Well nothing can attack you sept for bees and mosquitoes!( and I know wolf spiders can jump at you, but if you get out of their sight you can avoid them)
...the droplet trick. Fallais y penser👍
Thank you.
3:26 a can of soda exploded in my hot garage at the exact moment the wolf spider entered the frame...my poor asshole...
Also did you mention the buff you get from the actual bed? I saw another video on it quite interesting TBH.
Nice
What do you play on?
Yeah bexause this game is so easy to master
Food spoils on the rack now.
The recipe was there for me but the Rotten Red Ant Club was not. Went back several times on different days in real time. It's easier to craft a Red Ant Club.
