    When I got my drivers license a few years ago (16) I bought a 2001 buick lesabre on offerup for 1400. Had 171k miles, and it lasted me until 240k when I traded it in. I have a lincoln mks now but its not the same as the Buick, OR AS RELIABLE. 3800 Series II is by far one of if not the greatest american engine considering reliability. Buicks will always have a place in my heart. Its no old mans car, its A SLEEPER.

    I own a Buick Regal LS it’s a 2002 I’ve owned it for 6 years and it’s been the greatest first car I’ve owned. My Regal only had 78,000 79,000km when I bought it in 2017 car now has 140,000km I love the 3800 engines they run like a top.

      Thanks! A labor of love. The underside was a challenge as everything under that area of the car( except the exhaust)was completely removed, all rust removed, chemical prepped, painted, then reassembled.

      Thanks so much for the compliment! I actually did the restoration myself as I am a retired auto body mechanic of over 45 years now. Once my "old beater" '94 Regal is back on the road, hopefully within a few weeks, my LeSabre will be parked and covered. It'll stay that way protected from winter weather until probably sometime in March or April. The for sale ad on Craig's list expires in a day or two and won't be run again until Spring. Feel free to leave a message here if you are still interested in the car. Price is firm, and I'm asking $7495. Steve

    I used to own a 2005 Buick Limited just like that car. Sadly, when I retired I had to make a choice between keeping it or my truck. Since I am widowed and live out in the county, logic dictated I had to keep the truck so I sold my Buick. I really miss that car.

      Thanks Smitty! I actually put it in a sizeable show (60+ vehicles) back on Oct 15, '22. No awards taken home but plenty of people checking it out and talking with me about it. It was an enjoyable day with beautiful weather and a wide variety of vehicles to look at.

      @@stevesmith6236 Yes sir!, and that is what it is all about. I am very fortunate to own a true limited production GEN 3 SHO. I bought it nearly 23 years ago when it was only 2 years sold. I realized what I had back then in 1999, and enjoy it for cruise night's and car shows.
      Since it is still like new with no visible alterations, I put it in the UNrestored 90ies class. Having reached antique status here in MA. it has the reg. plates and insured with Hagerty. I checked my miles driven recently, only 315 miles in 18 years LOL. 57k total so far.
      Hanging out with the curious car show attendees is always a hoot. Enjoy your fine Buick a little more before parting with her! And, I hope the next owner will appreciate what they have for many years to come! It would be fun to share some auto show photos, but not sure how to hook up. I DO have a FB account and can be easily found there. Let me know.

    Nice car. Well taken care of.
    Reminds me of my 1994 LeSabre Limited we use to own.
    It was one of the best overall riding cars I have ever owned.
    Problem was...RUST. My trunk at the wheel wells rusted out.
    It was sad really because it ran so well. It had the 3800 Series 1 engine in it.
    All Analog Gauges. I had over 200K miles on it and it would of ran for at least another 100K except for that damn rust.
    GM was famous for rust back in the 1990's.
    Buick was foolish to get rid of the LeSabre and the 3800.

    • @stevesmith6236
      @stevesmith6236 Год назад +1

      I bought this from an estate sale. The original owner, a senior woman, had passed away and her good friends from across the street put the car up for sale. I wanted to move up from my (then current) '94 Regal sedan with the 3800 series I engine, and always liked the LeSabres. I agreed on a price after test driving it, paid cash, and drove it home that same day. Travel didstance was approx. 60 miles. This gave me plenty of seat time and I was very pleased how well it rode compared to my old Regal. Work was done to the car over the course of one year and ten months when I had the time and money to spend on it. It's one of the finest cars I've ever owned.
