Nice car Cameron, it's surprising to see a young man like you appreciate that Buick. I have a 2002 with over 180K miles that I love. They are very reliable and well made vehicles. The 3800 engine is arguably one of the best engines that GM has ever made. With proper maintenance they will easily reach over 300,000 miles. Enjoy the ride
No, the 3.8 6 was INARGUABLY THE best engine that GM ever made; arguably one of the best automotive engines ever. There are still plenty of them on the road 20 years after they were discontinued, many with 400k & more miles. Lasabres & Park Avenues of that vintage are garnering a cult following & will likely become collector’s cars years from now. 6:54
Great engine. Trans is a little weak but as long as you change the fluid (not flush) you'll be ok...mine finally died at around 372,000 miles when I blew the bank 1 head gasket. And these miles were hard earned miles...great car!!
Coolant elbows will fail. Replace them with metal ones. Eventually lower intake gasket will fail, replace it with metal one. Drain the terrible red coolant out and replace with universal green. If you dont it will clog up the engine and overheat. The EGR valve could melt some of the upper manifold plastic and leak coolant. Rare but check it occasionally. Thats it, those are the only weaknesses. This engine will last forever if you get those done. Smart choice, just tint the windows and leave the car alone.
I had a 2005 Buick Lesabre Custom with the 3.8L. It was the best car. I ever owned. I wish I would never have sold it when it hit 200,000 miles. It got 27-28 mpg. The only money I ever stuck into it was at 175,000 miles the blower motor in the cab went out ($110) and the cord for the engine block heater went bad ($30).
That is a very clean LeSabre and it is evident that Grandpa took very good care of it. We have a nice 2004 LeSabre Custom, and a 1998 Custom- that needs some work. I enjoy wrenching on these gems, and I would never sell a car that my Grandfather Left me!
That's a Beautiful car , Amazing 3.8l v6 and has the comfort of a luxury car , it's not a Muscle car but it'll get up and go when it needs to, gas mileage is amazing for a Big V6. My Grandfather had one and I seriously wanted to buy it from him because it was just an overall great car and never had an issue with it besides the Alternator but that's small stuff. Awesome video, I love seeing these cars get the credit they deserve.
I just bought a 2003 Celebration Edition in Crimson Pearl with 70,000 miles. I had a 1995 LeSabre that I sold with nearly 300,000 miles. Always said I wanted another one before they are all gone.
@@joanallen5253 Yes indeed it’s expensive market. Still u payed 5k for it. For mine Lesabre 2000 got 70,000 miles guy wanna 6500$ which is absolutely ridiculous!!!😤
@@michaelscofield2444 I did see quite a few in that price bracket and others lower. But they had more miles and cosmetically were not as nice as the one I bought.
I just purchased one of these last week! Single owner, clean as a whistle, runs beautifully. I am interested in where you got your new headlights. I'd like to replace mine as well. :)
Hello. So how much you paid for this 05' Lesabre? I have many deals out. Cars are on a high price now. You know it. But I feel this car is made for me even I am young. Lol
I've had this car for 3 years, and it has 160k miles on it. I haven't done anything major to it besides maintenance. I get 20mpg, but my car is also straight piped, and I'm a teenager, so I'm constantly flooring it. So you could probably expect better mpg out of yours depending how you drive and if you keep the exhaust stock.

The 3.8L 6 was rated one of the top 10 motors of the 20th CENTURY! So easy to work on and hardly ever has a problem.
@@DJMedia21 Totally Agree
I had 3 Buicks all great cars all 3 had transmission problems great motor shitty transmission.

233,000 and still going strong on my '05 LeSabre. Take care of it and it will last a long time.

Yeah the tans are horrible in these things 😂 but reliable cars outside of that but as long as it's baby they last a while
Cameron not only is that a beautiful car when you turn the radio on that song is incredible I'm 54 years old and every time I hear it I turn it up
Wait hold up, how do you know my name?
I have a 2005 buick lesabre limited. These 3800 engines are great. Such a comfortable, reliable car.

I've got an 05 as well with 175k miles. Comfortable ride and no problem finding parts for it. Unlike some cars where it can take weeks to get parts.
My son just bought the 2003 year. The engine on these things are highly regarded by mechanics.
Also super easy to work on.

Thank you, I got more videos to come. Hopefully next month once I get my exhaust done
That buick looks good. I have a 2006 lacrosse I just bought love it
These are reliable cars if they were taken care of

@@georgethelesabre7547 Thanks!
Planning to buy one from the original owner old lady with 37k miles.
$3000 range.
wondering, how much was it to get the headliner put installed?
Well, i took the headliner out myself, scrubbed the old foam off and then i took it to a shop 🤣 it was $205
5:16 nothing good on the radio?? 🎶🎶🎼🎼🎼🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵💪🏼💪🏼
Nice youngin 😎👍 tint and a subeoofer if nice to add as well

Surprisingly there was something good on the radio 😅
Hello. So how much you paid for this 05' Lesabre?
I have many deals out. Cars are on a high price now. You know it. But I feel this car is made for me even I am young. Lol
It was left to me when my grandad passed away
$6,000? Drive it to Texas and let me see it lol
Nah you gotta drive to South Carolina 😂 it's only $6,000 because it's not up for sale 😂
you could get a 2002 park avenue with about 40k miles for 7k, at least i saw a listing for that
Do you still have this car and how long you had this car and how many mpg on highway
I've had this car for 3 years, and it has 160k miles on it. I haven't done anything major to it besides maintenance. I get 20mpg, but my car is also straight piped, and I'm a teenager, so I'm constantly flooring it. I have 170000 miles on mine.
Very attractive car. What is the color?
929L metallic cashmere
Tasteful
Well is it for sale if it is how much
No 🤣 it was just an update video but if your trying to give $6,000 that's my let go price.
137,000 is nothing for a Buick LeSabre in the early 2000s. I know of one that's almost 400,000 and still running
I know of one that at 600,000
Video is about how to shake your camera? 😆
I'm using a phone, what you expect? 😂 Also I don't make these videos for anyone else but myself. If someone watches them so be it 🤷♂️
Billy ocean
But I'm white and American 😂
Is he for real? Jesus....
What?
Nothing just can't get over the great shape it's in! My 03 centennial celebration model looks like it's been through Afghanistan?!😟
Great car!
LED lights look silly..
Don't F up a "nice old reliable car" with CRAP like that..
It's called being able to see at night 😂 if you think those are silly you would really hate to see the car now
