You did a beautiful job on that tree. I cannot believe you had so much patience to glue each individual leaf on!! Amazing. That's truly is a first class job. I love your kitty too by the way, looks like he/she likes to be close to Daddy whilst he's working.
Had a slight meltdown in my brain when i realized you did the single leave method again :D Incredible work, probably the nicest model tree i have seen to date. Well worth the effort mate :)
This is the best tree model i've seen so far ! What kind of plant do you use for the small branches? I've tried a tree roots, but when they dry, they break so easily. I'm looking for a more durable option.
Really the best looking model tree what i saw at the moment!! What a work! Respect!! All these leaves glueing one by one🙈🙈 also like the pet in front of the camera! Haha
Amazing work my friend.I luv it.i believe this is the only way to make a realistic 1/35 tree. This is one of the very best hard wood trees I've seen sir. Thank you for sharing your work. Its beauitful.
Hi Felis, Your video is superb, enhanced by your calm and soothing voice! And your finished tree is superb! But it's not surprising when you have the patience of a saint. Gluing on single leaves would send most people around the bend. I know of one guy who glued single leaves to his model tree, 3000 of them and he posted the finished diorama on the modeller's website which I belong to. He then set about making an even larger diorama with 6 such trees................ and we never saw him again! LOL. I myself have made a few trees, but mine are 'indestructible' because over time ANY tree will get dusty and maybe even covered in cobwebs, so I wanted to be able to jet wash mine with an airbrush, and even vacuum-clean them so I don't have to worry about damaging them when that situation arises. So, that leads to my question........... do you encase your dioramas in glass/persex/plastic? Also, I make my leaves from paper using paper punches and I wonder why you use real leaves which will decay over time. Paper contains kaolin and is acidic and will pretty much last hundreds of years.
Thanks for your super comment! :) That missing guy must have those 6 trees under his belt but I guess now he must be hunting bananas he sees inside his head LOL I've had enough making one every two or three years. The question,.. I just dust the model every week and blow those leaves with air from my lungs, they're in good shape after all this time... a glass protection would be great though. I use the real leaves because they have the most realistic texture but I treat them before with transparent lacquer on both sides, that should slow or stop natural decay. Cheers bud
Fantastic my friend. Such patience you have , you are a true Jedi Master at this !! Lol really enjoyed it and I found it very therapeutic to watch. I hope you and everyone are OK my friend .
Wow outstanding work yet again my friend looks more than convincing for any diorama...... Do you know how to make convincing pine trees at all as am in the middle of doing an Ardennes diorama and am stuck with them...
Thanks a lot buddy :) I have never done a pine but the follow a different buiding pattern. Here you have a very interesting tutorial: ruclips.net/video/U54S8y3B-Ag/видео.html Some types of fern look like pine branches and that's the product he's using
That’s the most incredible thing I’ve EVER seen!!! I’ve seen (finished) trees in dioramas using single leaves, but I never knew HOW they did it. Well, now I know what I’m IN for!!! 😉 Thanks for posting! I’ll probably need to watch this video 100 times. But that tree was MASTERFUL!
Thanks a lot for your comment bud :) I'm glad the vid has inspired you. Just bear in mind that the most difficult part is to make that white clay look like branches, it requires a few days because you need to respect the 24 hour drying time, and you do need to work by layers/days. Once that part is done the rest is easy, but... not fast. Good luck and enjoy the experience. Oh! It's good to take pics or make a some kind of log or slide show, it helps your memory and usually you see things that you wouldn't see otherwise. Cheers!
Hi I'm in the middle of making my own 1/35 scale tree and have a question for you, What type of soft clay do you use? I use DAS clay but that is very thick clay and perhaps not suitable for this tree work? Great video, great tree very nice thank you.
Felis, what colors did you use to make this tree. These are native to where I live and I would like to try to make a few of them for a model train layout here in town. They are thinly branched with large leaves and would look nice on the layout. Thanks.
You put the chipping liquid and let it dry for 10 minuts then you put the greennish color, and let it dry how much time after start making the chipping effect?
I have only 2 model shops in my entire country and luckily it's in my city (capital). But they don't have things like from woodland scenics or that, just models and some upgrades for the models. So I have to use everything from scratch for dioramas.
Un treball excel·lent. Sobretot les fulles del plataner i l'escorça. Una feinada enganxar una per una les fulles a es branques, que per cert no se de quina planta és.
It looks awesome!
I still am speechless you put on every single leaf by hand. But the result is the best I have ever seen!
What a Beautiful Tree, and Beautiful Music
Thanks a lot :)

Thanks a lot Ciarán :)
Great video and technique. My only complaint is that the music is too loud and drowns out the commentary. Glad there is subtext.
Thanks for your comment!
Fantastic tutorial. I think a lot of people will have this video in their library for reference !
Thank you very much my friend! I hope it's useful :)
A most impressive technique, looks so real...

A syringe with a small needle works good to apply activator to the super glue. But do not touch the needle to the super glue, it will stop up.
Hi I'm in the middle of making my own 1/35 scale tree and have a question for you, What type of soft clay do you use? I use DAS clay but that is very thick clay and perhaps not suitable for this tree work? Great video, great tree very nice thank you.
Thanks mate. I use Das clay as well. You can always soften it with a bit of water
Beautiful work as usual you always take the hobby to another level brilliant take care my friend 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🐑😁✌
Thanks a lot my friend ;)
Very good indeed, any indication for the wire dia?
Maybe I missed it, but what did you use to create the smaller branches around the 14 minute mark? Is that just real foliage?
Yes, it's real foliage; it's called "sea foam" and can be found in hobby shops
Incredible...
Thanks a lot!
Amazing!
Thank you :)
Very nice.
Thanks a lot buddy :)
hola está genial !!! usas masilla das pronto ?
Muchas gracias Matias :) Si, correcto. Uso Das arcilla blanca

That is a fabulous bit of work. Well worth the time I reckon. How long did the leaf gluing take? Excellent tutorial too, thanks.
Thanks a lot Andrew :) It took about three weeks
@@Felisbarcinonensis Thanks. Ill be giving it a go - but I'll probably start with a smaller tree!
Good luck! Have fun :)
Bravo on doing it leaf by leaf
Hello
amaizing work
I'm trying to make a similar one, can you help me in one question?
Thank you, I'm glad you like it! The answer to the question is: About 10 minutes
Thank you for your help
Have those leaf punches been a durable product?
Yes, they feel quite indestructible
@@Felisbarcinonensis Thank you. They're hard to find in the US so didn't know if they'd be a good investment. Definitely going to order some.
Sublime de réalisme fantastique
Thanks a lot Flavien :)
Well done Daniel! :)
Thanks a lot Rihard :) How are you doing buddy?
@@Felisbarcinonensis Living the dream and taking names :)
@@SuperSwitched Cool! :) Your vids are missed!
@@Felisbarcinonensis I know good buddy, it is what it is. They were time consuming and, are little community has shifted gears!
@@SuperSwitched Yep. Things change. It's been good to hear from you!
Impressive work!
Thanks a lot buddy :)
what is the material used for the small branches? Is it a natural miniature tree branch?
It's called "Sea Foam". It can be found in scale modelling shops
You put the chipping liquid and let it dry for 10 minuts
then you put the greennish color, and let it dry how much time after start making the chipping effect?
Not much, just a few minutes, otherwise it's a bit tough to remove without damaging the former layers
Thanks 👍
Muito linda a árvore parabéns
Muito obrigado Marcos :)
Amazing...
Thank you! Cheers!
Espectacular treball !!! Moltes gràcies per compartir.
De rès. Gràcies a tu per comentar! Per els anglo-parlants aquesta espècie és el plàtan de Londres, per mi és el plàtan de Barcelona! Hehehe ;)
Holy 50 shades of blue balls
Wow m'agrada molt
Moltes gràcies!👍
👍
What scale is the Green Stuff World leaves?
Wow..... just wow....
Thank you Bruce ;)
What are you using for the branches?
Zeechium (Teloxys aristata)
You can find it in model shops as "sea foam" too
