I completely understand why your wife doesn't want to speak about it... It's an ongoing trauma... She is being assaulted and battered by the state of Texas. Your family is being punished by GQP politicians who accepted church money. I'm so sorry you guys have to go through this. It is unacceptable especially in 2024, in America. This should not be.

everyone wants more babies to potentially make more generations of men. and everyone wants more dependent, controlled women who feel defeated and disempowered so their confidence doesn't threaten a culture of herding, hoarding & suppressing them to maintain power over them. everyone wants wombs to be a controlled public resource. nobody wants women to feel in charge of their bodies, nobody wants women to feel safe. nobody wants to admit that a uterus is first and foremost an organ in someone's body long before it's a baby vessel. nobody wants to admit making babies is a _byproduct_ of having that organ, not the purpose of the organ or of the person who possesses it. even though that organ gets cancer, even though that organ regulates hormones, even though that organ sometimes doesn't successfully make babies, even though the person who possesses that organ may be mentally/physically disabled and making a baby has nothing to do with what her mind, body & life need.

The turmoil of miscarriage is horrific on it's own. To then be denied the care you need - even to the point of losing the chance to try again - is simply cruel and inhuman.

I had a blighted ovum as my first pregnancy. My body thought I was pregnant when there was no baby. I required a DNC to clean out my uterus. I now have 3 healthy kids. I can't even imagine not having access to actual healthcare.
It's a D & C. Dilation and curettage. They dilate the cervix and remove the remaining tissue from the uterus. I am fortunate that my miscarriages were before these misogynists were in charge of women's health.

The story is probably either. This person is lying or the doctors are complete idiots or took a political stance because the didn't read the law. The law itself specifically says the viable fetus shall not be touched. If it's dead, they have every right to remove the dead tissue.

I was so lucky. My first prenatal appointment was at 24wks. Everything went well. But if it hadn't... I might not be here today. There's very few doctors left, so the waiting lists are long. I live in a MAJOR metropolitan area.

I truly don't know what to say. I feel so sorry that you're being forced to go through such cruelty.
You need a good healthcare provider who is knowledgeable about what you and your wife are going through and hold your hand every step of the way. Of course, I can't diagnose anything without seeing an ultrasound. But the pregnancy hormones can slowly decline and it can take a month (sometimes a bit longer) for a pregnancy test to turn negative after a miscarriage. Everything MIGHT be fine, in terms of the miscarriage may be complete and will not affect future fertility. Your healthcare provider SHOULD know all this and be able to discern precisely what's happened with the miscarriage. As far as your big point, that laws and restrictions are HARMING women and families, thank you sir, for speaking out!!!!!!

I'm so sorry. Please know that the mifepristone helps. There are almost 20% fewer problems with miscarriages when mifepristone is used. There are studies out there. Its use is recommended for miscarriages. Hugs to you and your wife. 🤗

My first pregnancy was a miscarriage. I required a D&C for my health. I then gave birth to two healthy babies. When I try to think about the what ifs? If I had been denied that D&C is scary.
