These are not doctors making the decisions about medical care. I want my doctor doing that not some man or woman that knows nothing about the medical field.
Even politicians supposedy trained in the medical field have no bussiness making laws regulating women's bodys.
I say supposedly because they tend to ignore any actual medical science that conflicts with their religious beliefs.
I’ve been a nurse for many years, but I wouldn’t begin to know what each woman’s medical needs are! But I do know that her doctor knows, if she listens to her.
💯 I don’t know why more women aren’t shouting this from the rooftops. Not only are private medical decisions none of their business, but why are we even entertaining the notion that uneducated and/or unqualified politicians or prolife terro, err I mean activists, are in any way qualified to question the medical decisions of licensed physicians?!! That’s what I always say to these ignorant bigots.
That's right! Politicians should leave medical care to the doctors. You know, the people that actually went to college to become experts in the medical field.

Many years ago, when “the pill” was still pretty new, my periods were horror stories! I won’t go into details, but although I wasn’t trying to avoid getting pregnant, a doctor put me on “the pill “ to regulate my menstrual cycle. I can’t describe what a relief it was!!! Medications like that are not just for preventing contraception, they can help with a variety of feminine issues that most men have no idea about how devastating those conditions can be! Give women and doctors the right to choose!!

Yessss! I've been on birth control mostly because if not I will need blood transfusions and heavy pain killers for the ovarian cysts. BC keeps them from growing 🙏🏽

At the same time, they’ve fallen for conservative propaganda so badly for so long that they couldn’t think of not one thing positive about Biden either. Either candidate is ever going to be perfect, but it is obvious that for as old and imperfect as Biden is, he will *always* be a better choice than Ttump. I say this as someone who believed in Bernie when he still had an inkling of a chance. Pragmatism drives me personally.

My grandmother was the youngest of 12 children and grew up in extreme poverty. I don't know why any woman or man would want to go back to those times prior to birth control.

In the days of your grandmother, she could rejoice in that she had fulfilled her Woman's Obligation to God in producing all those kids. This was clearly spelled out in Catholic church doctrine. To produce only six or seven living children was a dereliction of devotion to God.

My dear grandmother used to go hungry all the time, wore rags for clothes, only got to bathe about once a week if even that, and it harmed her for the rest of her life to have been raised in those conditions. I believe it is better to have kids that you can take good care of, make sure they are well-fed, etc, even if that means you have only a few kids at the most. I know not everyone can avoid poverty but there is no reason to have 10+ kids anymore...unless you want to and can afford them. My mom was raised Catholic and chose to have only 2 kids. She and my dad were able to provide a wonderful life for us but would not have been able to if they had a lot more kids.
In the days when all these old religious rules were made the infant mortality rate was huge so it made sense. Now it doesn't. The world is overpopulated as it is. @davidrhoads3023

Not always true. In the small town I live in, they don't have the little booths or even the ones with the privacy shields, they have round tables that would sear 6-8 people and they put 3 or 4 chairs around it so there's an illusion of privacy. So if you're there with someone and they're sitting at the same table, they can easily see your ballot. I've also seen someone stand behind someone voting and watch the entire time.

Overall, birth rates are dropping worldwide, incl US, & have been for several yrs now. Few countries are projecting birth rates above replacement rate in near/midterm future.
S Korea rate is now @ 0.7, the lowest. But Taiwan, China, Japan are also initiating efforts to increase rates as well - unfortunately, the input to formulate those efforts ignored women, so ...
More & more women are simply opting out - of dating, relationships, marriage & children - because, quite frankly, there's *nothing* in it of any benefit for *us*.

Couldn't agree more. And government enforcement of child support was never meant to help the children. It was meant to control men. Otherwise the state could just take all the money spent on imprisoning economically vulnerable fathers and administering child support in general, and just give it directly to the children in question.

If you are/were a Republican woman older than 40 I want you to think about the woman you were between 18 and 29. I want you to think about what would have been best for her. The mistakes she made; the things she believed. If you could go back, what would you tell her.
This is a great approach but at least with the Republican women I know, they don’t care about anyone but themselves. Many of them got abortions, asked for divorces when they wanted out of a marriage, used whatever contraception they wanted, and started families when they wanted…all things Republicans have said they will take away. But the Republican women I know want their tax cuts.
I say don't let men use you sexually for their pleasure. You have a choice. Choose a decent man and marry him. Don't toss yourselves at rock stars or whatnot.

Lovely, I've ran into issues getting the high levels of progesterone I need to help slow down growing more cysts! I still have the stress bleeding,or spot a bit from moving with too much flexibility. Because of this,if I do somehow get pregnant, it's much more likely to be ectopic due to the cysts and growths. I have lots of male condoms stashed, and have ordered some female condoms. Aside from that, I'm still looking to get more medical work done that will have me totally sterile,but will hopefully stop the cysts and growths.

The Comstock Act, as originally set into law, made it a federal offense to disseminate through the mail or across state lines. 1965 & early 1970s parts of that repealed. Certain justices have publicly discussed 'revisiting' those rulings. Think they aren't going for all forms of birth control?

Birth control can treat acne, make periods more regular, and treat endometriosis. To name just 3 that have nothing to do with preventing pregnancy. Birth control is used for so much in women's healthcare.

Birth control is not just for avoiding pregnancies. This is so important. Because of my birth control I am able to work and not have to lay in bed sick becaus of period cramps every month. Other women take it against acne which can lead to severe pain if untreated, hormonal imbalances or endometrioses!!!
I also fear that the next step will be finding a way to prevent tubal ligation. Since it is an elective procedure, they'll lobby or put regulations in place to keep your insurance from covering it. At 45, I chose to get a hysterectomy due to pre-cancerous lesions being found. It was a 50/50 chance that it could turn into cancer. I fear if I had waited, despite the circumstances and my age, I would have been refused. I ask the GOP women, would they rather a woman go thru possible cancer treatment and die or just remove what's causing the cancer and live?
They already try to prevent it as much as possible.
I heard a rumor that in the early 2000s, a woman couldn't get sterilized without her husband's consent. Is that true?

My little sister had to take the pill when she was a teenager to help regulate her period. She wasn't even sexually active. Her periods would last almost a month. Sometimes, longer.

There are already CS laws - most of which are haphazardly enforced. A good way to ensure enforcement is mandatory DNA testing @ birth. Some states only impose CS upon request of the custodial parent & that pathetic percentage that's granted disappears completely if custody is shared 50/50.
These laws already exist. It's a matter of having them enforced. I had to force the state to keep my case open after me ex left the state - even though there is no statute of limitations on collecting child support. I had to go to the Social Security office and force them to file the paperwork to take child support out of his disability check after I found out he'd been receiving it for over a year. Social Security never told the state he was drawing it even though they're required by law to do so. There are laws, but nobody gives a rat's butt about enforcement.
