Lyrics:
I've resolved upon this course, which has no need of you
Denying this day, didn't stop it from coming
Promise me, that you won't be consumed when you realize
We're screaming at the same moon
Shredded by state lines
Press my face up against the glass
With both eyelids shut
And baby, this won't get any easier
Baby, this won't get any easier
Baby, this won't get any easier
Don't let this die, we may never fall in love again
It's hard but worth the wait when it's over
Don't let this die, we may never fall in love again
It's hard but worth the wait when it's over
Now open up wide, fist first down your throat
Where no beauty lies, and rip out what should've been mine
Comfort always made the rescue, we always hoped 'for the best'
I'll burn this with torches, and drown in my consideration

Now I’m an adult I’ll hardcore dance wherever I please
We grew up and all got our own places so we could fucking two step without mom telling us to stop
@@hj6507 LMAO I two step all the time at home when no one is there XD
I literally just injured my shoulder hardcore dancing in the living room, granted it wasnt this song but I instantly listened to it... they warned me lol
@@FactMan8 what song was it
@@iamthatlemon I cant remember now lol but I'm pretty sure it was a Knocked Loose song, they always get me rowdy.
41 years old and just discovering this band. holy shit, amazing!
Craig Owens is a beast of a vocalist if you like him you should check out his other bands destroy rebuild until God shows anf isles and glaciers
@@Laughingjack178 Craig is a beast but it'd be nothing without the "musicality" of the band. This whole album is just a bunch of beautiful parts put together to make songs not just verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus, and i haven't found that with Craig's other projects or even later Chiodos. This album was really something special.
This is their best album in my opinion. Good lucck finding more thats related. Forever 16! Lmao
Damn that's awesome if you're serious lol :)
Oh golly are you in for a treat. You won't regret this.
Love old Chiodos. It's the only of it's kind to me
Nobody else really sounded like this album. It's a groundbreaker imo
@@drumsno Nobody at all the closest is Circa but even they're not close
@@asuas3115 anthony Green and craig Owen's sharing the mic is pure hold. 2 of my favorite vocalist to date. Both circa and chiodos were amazing with what they wrote. Both bands were a huge impact on the scene for alot of people I believe. They were for me anyways.
@@anon_usa4209 church!!
Really something else. What a rare gem they are.
The breakdown literally makes my eyes roll back
Old Chiodos still slaps
forever
Melts my face still to this day. I remember having my hand on Craigs leg (not creepy he was standing ON the crowd performing)
To this day in 2021, one of the nastiest intros ever. Gives me goosebumps every time.
Feel this so fucking much. It’s so nasty
They have a bunch like that too... and the middle of the song drops... omg
These guys are geniuses
Alot of recent comments up in here, glad to see this band still getting the love it deserves. Back when times were so much simpler and music was actually good
A defining moment for the post hardcore scene. We may never see a band with this much diversity. Incredible.
I seen these dudes at Warped Tour 07. And I had no idea who they were. My mind was totally blown. Just incredible.
I almost agree but enter shikari is up there too
@@berzerkerguts I'm with you on that!
@I OFFER YOU THIS hahahaha 💯
10000000% I try and tell some of the younger dudes I work with about the impact of these guys when they came out and it’s just lost on them. It slowly kills me over time lol.
Warped tour 05!!!
I literally just injured my shoulder hardocre dancing in my living room, granted it wasnt to this song but it instantly made me think of it then listen to it. They warned me...
i just can't get over the intro piano to this song. its like all discorded notes. but somehow still sounds so amazing.
I remember my dude showing me this song when we were like 14. It’s wasn’t till 15 years later I truly appreciated it.
Makes me miss being a teenager.
How old are you 19? Lolol
@@dilloncompton6102 28 lol

I'm one of the few people that had loads of fun in high school and was SUPER afraid of change because of it. Turns out I was right to be afraid
Almost 30 and I can definitely attest. Facts stand true. It feels like yesterday,i was listening to this on my ipod in study hall, having this album bootlegged from limewire
the words best friend is the goat but this intro has to be the hardest thing to ever grace ears. This whole album is perfection
I’m saying.
Saw these guys countless times, still timeless.
I need to go through my old ticket stubs and figure out how many
Had this as my myspace song for a While and hid the sound bar so you had to listen to it
Same lol
These guys are so sick. Their blend of style is perfect.
remember finding this on limewire!! and put it on my mp3. those were the best busrides to school ever!!
I was 24 and started painting fancy houses in 06
& we had that CD on repeat for a month at a time... Repeatedly
and I'm still asking for more
Damn. The feeling I got the 1st time I heard this song. I’ve been chasing it my whole life lol
Ive never relates to something as much as ur comment lmao
I bought this album because there was a big ad in AP magazine that referred to this band as a cross between Underoath and Blood Brothers.
Haha that’s actually a pretty good description. But there’s also something *more* here I think
Ugh nostalgia
foreverrrrrrr
The origin story to this song is awesome
what story?
With both eyelids shut
And baby, this won't get any easier
Man chiodos was so fking good.
Hell yea. The guitar&piano intro slaps so hard I dropped my phone

A masterpiece of an album, truly timeless, truly creative, with great lyrics and melody. An absolute magnum opus for the young and hopeless!
Lol used to wait for the school bus to this
Forreal !

One of the best albums ever. Start to finish
Shits gold . Whole album, every day all day. 10 years +

i got dumped in 2007 to this song after i heckled Devil Wears Prada at a show

No Hardcore Dancing? Really? Hardcore is to do Hardcore Dancing. Mosh, Without Mosh/Hardcore Dancing is Boring.
