He is for sure good, I live in Tennessee, but I think he is in Virginia, it reminds me of a plantation in Nashville, about a rich ole man ,good enough to hire ,but not good enough to marry, but I love piano music, my dad played 🎹 piano, after I spoke with you, something came through here, alot is happening in this town, did you read what Beto O'Rourke , Representative from Texas, said about the Rally in North Carolina with Trump, you should look it up, he compared it to the Nurumburg, and mentioned the Klansman, of course the KKK started 30 miles from here,I live in Columbia, TN, and the Governor declare a special day for one of the slave trader's Nathan Bedford Forrest, I read an article, that was on CNN what all he did, in Memphis, it was so bad, if I had known it I would have never gone to school there.this is why I stay close to the Lord, because the South, growing up here I was sheltered from alot, but I see it now in different light.i wish it would go away, the hate, but some people will not let it go.my phone is going out ,got to put it on charger, will talk later

What was "carefree" about 1988 or the late 80's overall? The AIDS epidemic was in full swing, we had the Iran-Contra affair, the Cold War, an Iranian passenger jet was shot down by the US, the "moral panics" like the PMRC and "satanic panic" that ruined a lot of lives happened...and like this song points out girls who got pregnant were sent away and made to give up their babies and pretend nothing ever happened.

Back in ~1989'ish I can recall sitting on the lawn under the trees in Forest Park in St. Louis with friends, just outside the Muny Opera House, where Bruce & the Range were just killing it! We couldn't get tickets, but made a memory that will last my entire lifetime. What a talent, thanks Bruce, for being part of the soundtrack of my life!

I saw Bruce Hornsby and The Range at the Manchester Apollo in the 80's with my girlfriend, was a fabulous concert, I love this band, every album, great musicians. Every song is a classic, especially on the road travelling thru the Western states, or anywhere. The bluegrass version is a killer. Thank you fellas.

Many years ago in the fall, when I still watched TV I was gifted this music video. Now, every year, as summer turns to fall, I watch it. Something so pure about classic scenes of small town America in the 1980s. I'd give anything to have those times back again.

This is a brilliantly orchestrated, timeless masterpiece, and definitely one my favorite songs of theirs. One of Bruce Hornsby's iconic hits, and his incredible piano skills, just make this song that much more uplifting and beautiful. This is what is considered a "feel good" song. It makes you happy and content. Kudos to his amazing band "The Range" as well. I wonder if these guys are in the R&R Hall of Fame. They should be.

The most beautiful moments of our life, we have lived it with our families ... And the songs of Bruce Hornsby & The Range, lead us to that ... This music is beautiful ... My father also played clarinet and treble, here in Colombia ... I was a composer and arranger ... I was rigid, but I did it for my own good ... I learned to play the piano ... And now in the fall of my life, I want to learn to play the guitar. Maybe I can ... I think so ... And I will achieve it ... So our children can also dream like us. Blessings to all ...
