I laugh at the fact that I'm doing ridiculous things to distract myself from laughing. It's chaos. I've laughed at funerals, meetings but they all thought I was just being a kid. Now I'm older and I just hope it doesn't mess up my life
Yess!! At school my teacher was get all of us in a class into groups and we had to plan about a topic we were given and we had to talk about it. We had to practice and rehearse. When it came to videoing the conversations it was our group and I remembered something really funny my friend said! I tried to keep my laughter in but i just burst out laughing!!

As someone who is naturally sarcastic, a jokester, and uses laughter to cope with hardships, I find this hard to not do. I always laugh in inappropriate situations and I can make a joke out of literally anything. Lmao it's hard struggling with this, especially since some people take it personally and don't know that it's just the way I am.

Same. I've had mine at Interviews, Principals' Offices, my dad when he was seriously worshipping God. When my friend was trying to tell me he lost his Mom. It was horrible for me. and when I leave the scene I start to ask myself what's funny. Then I burst out even harder and can't go back. Now I get how The Joker feels.

Dude same. I just started having this issue lile 6 months ago where litteraly I cannot look someone in the eye and have a conversation with them without having the urge to laugh. It’s actually so depressing, and I can’t control it, and low key is ruining my self esteem.

Oh my gosh lol I remember in the 5th grade this boy was told to go up to the board and spell the word thankful. He was the typical kid who often got in trouble, which was something everyone knew. The teacher wanted to include him in the class activity since he was being calm for once. He went up to the board, like the teacher asked, and proceeded to spell thankful as thekful.
I kept playing the fact that he spelled it wrong over and over in my head and was trying so hard not to laugh, but after holding it in so long, it was like my mouth was filled to capacity and I just went "PFFFFFTTT!" really loud then started dying of laughter. The other students laughed too, but the teacher was upset and the boy looked embarrassed. I felt bad and still do feel bad, but I just couldn't hold it in lol.
I can relate. Sometimes it's just way too hard to keep on being serious. Tomorrow I'll have to speak in public at school in front of 300 people about...a dead scientist. Am I a terrible person if I say I am kind of scared of bursting out in laughter??? It's weird and I know this is a serious speech. But the fact that it is serious makes my mind go like "everyone is silent and serious...it's the perfect time to laugh for no reason in front of everyone and being ashamed for the rest of your school years". The moment something awful occurs in a movie, my first reaction, unless I'm really invested in the character, is to laugh like a hyena on crack. This usually only occurs when I'm alone, cause my friends don't really watch horror, but I find myself questioning my sanity as a result. I think it's just a coping mechanism though, albeit an annoying one when you have to do something big like what you described.
I don't know how much wiggle room you have to add some humor to your presentation, but it might help to insert some, that way if you chuckle people won't take offense 😅 that's what they try to do at funerals anyway lol. Good luck!
