Losing this current S4 tier set is going to really hurt. The 40% chance of brain freeze is nice but the AOE damage from glacial blast is going to feel pretty bad when it’s gone 😬

Been testing mage on beta today and yesterday. Started off with Arcane bc of the rework and omg it’s so much fun to finally be able to play. Decided today to try out frost fire and frost spellslinger and ngl they are both super fun to play. I’m highly considering maining Mage this expansion. I didn’t compare damage, I just wanted to see how each spec felt and they all so far feel really great. In case anyone wanted to know.

I created them on the beta, I’ll probably wait to update them till it releases, but maybe I’ll make a beta package
Spellslinger looks better with all the free orbs and passive aoe damage from splinters. Thoughts?
Great to see we aren’t forced into GS anymore for either spec- I never liked playing destro lock on a frost mage (ignoring the visuals, icicles become soul shards, GS is chaos bolt). My hope is that GS is viable for those who enjoy it but not mandatory for everyone.

I really hpåe you can play without glacial spike next expansion. I'm quite tired of it tbh. Especailly when forced into it by tier. The most fun I've ever had playing Frost Mage was in Shadowlands pre-patch. Hard hitting Ice Lance felt so good.
