Years ago my customer had just started a new contract for an overseas customer. They had setup with new machinery to complete this contract that cost them a fortune. But because numsa had just implemented a strike that went on for six weeks my customer was unable do deliver their first order on time. The overseas customer cancelled the contract. Therefore they could not pay the loans for the machinery. They were liquidated and all the employees lost their jobs. Feel sorry for yhe owner but each one of those employees that took part in the strike deserve what they got. To this day some of them dont have jobs and call me looking for employment. But i will never give a union member a job! Wont allow them to destroy my business

A strike should be a high court urgent application. 1: need to show urgency. 2: if it’s so urgent it’s only applicable for 30 days. 3: companies don’t contribute towards unions as it’s unproductive to themselves.(medical and uif yes)

Something is going on with the FF+. Before the election, I loved them and was planning to split my vote between them and DA. However, they have betrayed those who voted for them, and I wasted my national vote on them. They are giving Western Cape wards to the ANC. I am sorry, but even if the DA is arrogant in its coalition practices sometimes, you can't just give the wards to the ANC, which is worse. FF+ should go to hell.
I prefer an arrogant corruption free party to a thieving humble one.
Don't you understand that the DA is the arrogant party. They only respect people who vote for them, and I've never been able to do that. As a Christian, I see that they oppose most of my beliefs and although they appear to be good at governance, I've observed that in reality they rely on many of the smaller parties like FFplus and ACDP to perform. I've seen the decline in the Western Cape where Patricia put her cadres in place. The DA has certain loyalties, but their arrogance is starting to expose them. John is Pragmatic but Helen, or more precisely Helena, has always had power issues with liberal leanings so I can easily see even FFplus getting annoyed with them. Godzilla must go to give the DA a chance to form a truly combined anti ANC movement.

Imagine union striking over joblessness, whilst unions have directly been responsible for this state of affairs. Cosatu and affiliates have become obsolete, useless as representatives of employees. Hopefully their total demise is at hand. In 2024 unions require a whole new outlook n the changing work environment, these unions are as their government stuck in the past.

The certificate in my opinion should only be valid for one strike. Like they should have been forced to apply for a certificate for this strike only and pay a huge fee for the certificate on which is indicated how long the strike will be and if they continue with the strike after the length stated on the certificate, the employer should have the right to lay off any worker not returning to work and be free to employ somebody else. Union should be not have this amount of freedom to strike! If there is more rules against the unions they we might be able to get more investment!
And the certificate should state that any property damaged during the strike will me for the account of the union.

Did you know that a woman recently died in Sun City prison after being tortured to spill the beans on her fellow inmates that had cell phones ?
All because of headline grabbing prison searches promoted by our new correctional service minister.
Meanwhile , nothing is being done to address overcrowding . poor food and lack of access to medication.
Even prison uniforms are in short supply.
