Rad! I love these era-themed videos, and was on my way to the comments to state as much to no one in particular; the link is greatly appreciated. Also, that was an envy-inducing 3-shot group you so casually laid down on the cowboy, while expounding upon that lovely old Schofield. I need to use both hands to achieve that level of result!

Hey hickok45 should we prepare for civil war 2?
Love the classic weapons, if any of you are gamers I suggest you take a look at Hunt: Showdown it's set around 1890's to early 1900's and has both the Springfield and Winchester in it.
Wouldn't a lever action carbine be a better choice in 1899? The trapdoor was out dated even in the late 1870s. One of the factors Custer lost Little Big Horn, was out dated trapdoors. The Boer War was 1898 and they were using Mausers and Enfields and Krags. Love your channel.
1899 was a weird year for me. Had a plan but it kinda fell through.
Bet you didn't insist on that happening huh Dutch?

I thought it was brass? I haven't played the story very much so I can't exactly remember.
The frame was nickel, the cylinder was gold, the barrel and sights were blackened steel, and the engraving was gold filled/ inlay

Yep
gamers would use bolt action rifle and navy revolver thats pretty much the meta loadout. i on the otherhand use the pump shotgun and schofield revolver but id replace the carbine repeater with the landcaster or carcano sniper because they have longer range and better rate of fire the repeater carbine is kinda trash and bullets wont reach long range they just vanish.
wait wait wait mobile gamers and fortnite players are also considered gamer so lets narrow it down to Red Dead Redemption players. RDR gang rise up!
That will require gold to purchase...

Just play the single player.

Hearing Damage/Deafness was a virtual certainty, especially for naval gunners & artillery troops. Many soldiers came out of the U.S. Civil War, which coupled with PTSD drove many to drink.

you've been teasing that trapdoor carbine for a while now! i got one last year and just reloaded some rounds for it, what an awesome piece of history
I have an 1888 full size trapdoor, they are a lot of fun to shoot. I shoot it very rarely for fear of damaging it.
Stephen Longer as long as you use/reload soft lead bullets, it doesn't wear the bore much at all. stay away from jacketed rounds. the trapdoors were know to have very shallow rifling, and jacketed rounds can tear it up. i've shot mine twice already, and it shoots really great for its age and wear. i'll always shoot it so long as it's soft lead bullets
