*first man willing to try cereal*
“don’t be shy, put some more”
Dude just got everyone in China town hooked on sugar.
Not really, with 2 teaspoons of cereal.
@@AnniseAromatics I disagree, I was hooked as a young kid after my 1st bite of boo berry crunch!
Actually, this place he was in is flushing queens NY USA
Jeff Wisuri This is NOT Chinatown. This is flushing, queens.
Bruh no one can take jokes
Wow Chinese people seem very kind and willing to talk/mingle with people, that’s awesome
@@IA-1509 what? Americans acually are social but ok bum
@@IA-1509 There are a lot of very nice Americans. Maybe you are the asshole.
@@IA-1509 naw there are a lot of assholes
@Quality Work @100 Percent% have y'all never been to new york..? or like, half of the other places in america..?
@@rav3bunnyxd436 Have you?
3:52 dude's face when he realizes he's been using hot milk LMAO
that honestly sounds so good hot milk cereal
Neffy Avese I haven’t tried it before. But, when I am in China ( I’m in America rn) my aunt gives me a boiled egg and warm milk for breakfast. She forces me to drink all the milk (which I literally never want to) and I always lose weight when I’m in China. Probably because I always eat healthy stuff. But my aunt and grandma spoils me with snacks. Especially my aunt. Lol sorry for writing a whole paragraph. 😂
@@s7ilence236 I'm half Chinese, pretty much grew up and still eat congee, soy milk, you tiao, for breakfast or hot milk. So i get you.
SunshineCookie I’m so sorry! Also because eggs and dairy milk and any other animal products are anything but healthy and so bad for all!
Herta Schneider Oof.My aunt said that it was healthy. So now I can just tell her that it’s unhealthy. She may just keep me eating that though. But I don’t really mind it anymore bc I’m used to eating it. But yeah, thanks for telling me about that!
Everyone just calls Cheerios “small circles”
Might be fruit loops!
In fact they've got official Chinese names in China. Nestle and Kellogg's dominate breakfast cereals market in China from early 2000s, I grew up eating lots of them. The point is that breakfast cereals are indeed very novel to my parents' generation. In smaller towns and rural areas they're not even sold in stores. In cities we arguably have too numerous choices of breakfast (I live in Guangdong so dim sum there you go). My parents bought me (and my sister years later) cereals probably because nobody wanted to cook proper breakfast for us on school days😂 the bad thing is I got addicted to sugrary cereals for many years.

Love the fact that they noticed how sweet our cereal is. We have way too much sugar in out cereal and drinks.
Sweet food was one of the first things I noticed when I came to the US from Malaysia lol - I wasn't used to cake frosting that tasted like sugar for example. Even some types of Chinese food in the US felt extra sweet.
@@noonehere_kasut and that's why the US are one of the fattest countries.
Through my RUclips channel, I have been collecting videos on useful topics. The dangers of sugar is one Playlist category. ruclips.net/video/JpKJABZpPMI/видео.html
I’m calling it now....within a year there will be thousands of Chinese people walking around Flushing every morning with a red Solo cup.
🤣🤣🤣
What does the word solo mean in your sentence?
TravelWell Solo is the name brand of the red cup he is using in the video. Red Solo cups are frequently used for drinking beer at college parties.
@@jayfernandez6539 And diabetes! ;-)
@@travelwell6049 It doesn't mean anything in this sentence. "Solo" is just the name of a company that makes red plastic cups. Over time, the term "red solo cup" has come to mean any red plastic cup (which are very common in America), even if they don't come from the Solo company.
"Solo" is also a word that means "alone" or "by yourself". If I say "I'm going solo to the party", that means I'm not bringing a date (usually), or I'm not bringing anyone (including friends). A guitar _solo_ is a part of a song that features the guitarist by himself, etc.
But in this context, Solo is just the name of a company, and "Red Solo Cup" is just a phrase we use to describe red plastic cups in general.
I don’t know if I’m amused or saddened by the fact that they said they got fatter once they came to America
They don't eat western food and their bodies are not used to it, so it'll affect them more.
This should show you how America uses sugar to kill us off and maintain population control in a discreet way. Do you know what fuels cancer cells?? SUGAR!!!!!
@@RealDealLLC All cells use sugar. You might as well say to stop drinking water because that is also in all cancer cells...
Yumums no just no
Alex Sifuentes No they said that they got fatter after going to China 🙄
Being a white new yorker. This is incredible to me. I never knew chinese or Asian people were so eccentric and outgoing. They have so much life. And it sounds ignorant. I just live very upstate. In a very low cultured community unfortunately. I love seeing and learning new cultures. Amazing channel
I went to Japan in 2003. When in a supermarket I bought a cereal box and my Japanese friend said 'Why do you eat that? That is for children.'
japan is a themepark and the kids have to be 14 to ride
“Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids”
i got some frosted flakes lookalikes and they were disappointing! i don't eat cereal often so all i really missed was mexican food and potato chips
what kind was it
lol Im forty two and I just polished off a bowl of cereal at 3.30 am lol just Coz hehehe
Be interesting to see Chinese people reaction to southern style breakfast like biscuits and gravy, shrimp and grits or chicken and waffles.
great idea
Kai Thongsavanh yeahhh
Idk how he would set that up in china town though sounds like a mess carrying that around lol
(7:10) - "I make my cereal with coffee actually".
This woman has just changed my life forever.
Did you try it?
I do this sometimes lol. Not really a milk person, most of the time I use chilled water in my cereal. Better than room temp imo. XD
@@dragoncat5836 "I use chilled water in my cereal"
say sike say sike right now PLEASE bro
The roofs of their mouths are probably decimated.
Lmao hell yea
Lol 😆
You gotta get like tongue and palate surgery just to repair the damage that the Capn wreaks on your peanut gallery
Mine started to hurt just watching this
I dont get it
That guy saying American’s breakfasts are too “light” obviously hasn’t had all you can eat pancakes at IHOP! 😰
don't even mention the biscuits and gravy lol
@@markolson9913 dry throat and just biscuits yum😂
That's still light compared to most cultures who eat hearty meals in the morning
That still light, i mean most asian eat pretty heavy food for their breakfast
Or ever had the Shoney's breakfast buffet.
Nothing like a lambs head in the morning to start off your day 😅
Forget putting the cereal before the milk or the milk before the cereal. This guy was like “should the milk be hot or cold?”😭😭😭😭😂😂😂💀💀💀0:03
I don't know about other regions, my family is from Yunnan and they have something called puffed rice milk tea. Very similar to cereal. We put puffed rice, nuts, dried fruits and shredded Rushan (Yunnan dried Cheese) in it, then pour the warm milk in. It's basically cereal.
New title: "Giving Chinese people in America diabetes" LMAO
“Without eating any American food” and as he says that it shows a Popeyes and a McDonald’s 😂 lmao
I think he was saying that there's enough options that one never HAS to eat American food in Flushing, not that there's no American food available.
If I was Asian and a white man inexplicably speaking my language offered me food I was unfamiliar with and said "There are some cool things inside" I would be more than skeptical lol 3:35
You have a good taste of music
LOL looking back at it it does seem a little suspicious
So nice to see people from different cultures getting together and connecting- even if it is just over cereal
Everyone knowing other peoples languages is one of two ingredients to world peace
That it is. Imagine all the cool people we have missed out on meeting due to a language barrier.
@Yog Sothothologist You might have replied to someone else.
The second ingredient being religion?
The other one is breakfast cereal
The other is a worldwide IQ of 75
Tbh sometimes I'd zip lock my cereal and eat it in class dry. Like some of the people in the video said "Its Convenient"
Ben Shapiro’s kid is doing well these days.
Edit: just wanna add some underrated comments to the main post from others below.
“Flavors don’t care about your feelings.”
“He’s Jewish too.”
Another Edit: Ben Shapiro is a respectable man. Facts don’t care about your feelings 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
He actually sounds like Ben tbh

The deliciousness of Cinnamon Toast Crunch is undeniable and breaks down the barriers of language and culture!
In 1987 I was in Korea staying with some Korean friends and wanted a bowl of cereal one morning. So, I walked to the store and found a Korean snack that was essentially the same thing as Sugar Smacks. I found some milk with a picture of a goat on the container. When I got back to the apartment I poured myself a bowl and poured the milk over it. My Korean friends were watching as if it was the first time they had ever seen someone eat a bowl of cereal. In fact, it was the first time. And, it was also the first time I had goats milk.
Omg that girl who asked for a picture went to my school.. never talked to her but had her in my classes and I never heard her talk once. Till now.
Yeahhh suuuuuure
Maybe she was shy... And she couldn't speak fluent english :(
You should talk to her, become friends with her, and even see Xioama with her next time! :)
@@gleyva1243 could be true
he should prank english speakers by only speaking mandarin
It's an old Italian thing to put coffee in your cereal. I know, I'm an old Italian.
I remember the old Italians in NYC used to love Manhattan Special coffee soda. Some would put milk in it.
I put coffee in my cereal. I thought i was the only weirdo in the world that did this.
Wow never even heard of that might try that
@@timessquareblue5476 Manhattan special is a New York thing dont you dare

Before finding Xiaoman: asian people are shy and quiet
After watching a few videos: I want to learn the language!
its amazing the chiness have never tasted our cereals .its all sugar folks
That's probably why they haven't. They heard it's all sugar.
@@AdamBorseti they should they dont think we rely only on coffee do they.to start our day
So simple and pure
@@DS-wz7in yes some of us just eat when we need a sugar rush.when candy bars want do it.
Hell even raisin bran, which you think is healthy cause it has raisins. It actually has the most sugar per gram of basically any cereal.
Can’t stop watching your video, you’re a bloody legend mate. This is why I love RUclips!
Capn crunch without the berries? Oh no no no 🤦♀️
Bruh, for real lol
All 3 of those cereals are super sweet; even I don’t like them. Cheerios, Crispix, Wheaties are most likely better choices for Asian palate.
LOL! LOVE THIS! I really like how you can bridge the gap between our cultures. You show that we are more alike than we know. Awesome channel.
Kids' cereals are too sweet to an adult. To a kid, there's no such thing as too much sugar. 😖😂
Cute girls taking pics with him at 4:43. Must be nice to be recognized! 👍🏻
Omg, they're super brave and open to something clearly new! What a cool video! I'll say it a thousand times: NO government is worth us being apart from each other. We are all humans together on this terrestrial ball, just trying to make it count before our time's up!
Not sure how I started watched your videos but now I can’t stop 😂 I started learning Mandarin in 7th grade and eventually stopped practicing. You’re super inspiring and entertaining to watch. The authentic reactions are the greatest!
I been to china 8 times, longest I stayed was 3 months. One thing I always bring is American Cereal. They eat dinner food for every meal there, it gets old. Cereal is an American treasure.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner don’t matter, most Asians eat whatever they feel like.
All those choices were super sweet maybe try some whole grains with nuts..they would love it..
"There's got to be sugar in here."
"You have no idea."
马来西亚人早餐也很耐饱,如:肉骨茶,椰浆饭,咖喱面,印度煎饼,拉茶等。其实热量都挺高的!😅
lol when I was young my mom ate cereal with coffee too lolol. It was usually because my sister couldn't finish, then my mom just pours some coffee in her bowl and eats it. lmao she uses the milk from the cereal to whiten the coffee
I used to eat fruity pebbles with sweet tea when I was a kid for some reason lol

I’m a new comer heree. Tell me how di you can speak mandarin very fluent???!? That’s awesome
Xiao wow such a great video. So many kind, thoughtful, interactions and conversations. Wonderful people, all of you!
Same video with some shredded wheat, granola, raisin bran, Cheerios... Too much sugar! Gotta listen to the people 😁
The grandpa at the start was so sweet and nice HAHA
Bro you’re going to get these Chinese people addicted
I would love to see more English videos on your channel~!!
Your videos are so fun and entertaining. 👍👍. I’ve been binge watching the past couple of days, 5-6 videos at a time. What’s a way to starting learning the language without having to spend lots of time in another country? Thanks again 🙏 👍
3:12 he just said “hey there’s a lot of sugar in this”
5:19 That dude's laugh though LOL
Love this video. Mixture of English and Chinese. Xiexie (Wode Zhongwen bu hao). 😅
I love these people they find they’re so pure
I gotta say...it's between Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Honey Bunches of Oats (with lucky extra oat bunches). Greeaat video!
More videos please! They're wonderful. Especially when you surprise Chinese people with your awesome linguistic skills!
My childhood cereals:
Fruity Pebbles
Honey Smacks
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Unfortunately that happens a lot you have many people from different backgrounds migrate to usa and probably never learn the language mostly commonly used which is English. You are not officially required to learn English however i do encourage people to learn it as its a language that unites us.
"Is the milk supposed to be hot or cold?" Oh no....you poor guy, hot milk in cereal DX
Lol. I don't blame him for not knowing. In China they almost always have warm or hot drinks and think cold drinks are "bad" for you, for whatever reason.
I love this guy's laugh
The first Shanghainese guy basically just said the Cap’n Crunch has a lot of sugar in Shanghainese @ 3:12 😂😂
For me (here in England) cereal can be eaten with hot or cold milk. I always warm the milk for my 16 month old. As for myself, I always ate cereal with cold milk. But in hindsight surely a warm bowl of food first thing is better than cold; especially in the winter.
Lamb head, Breakfast of Champions!!!!
shared attribute between Mexicans and Chinese
And Norwegians
Nah I'd have to argue with you there, the best cereal is Coco Pops and second is Frosties (Frosted Flakes) and an American one I managed to get some of a few years ago and adored is S'mores cereal ohhhh wooooooow loved it
"Americans like a light breakfast". Me: watching youtube and eating eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, biscuit, orange juice and coffee!
Friendly day in New York City walking around eating cereal with people you don't know. Sweet.

Love when the guy said Americans love sweets 🤣 yes I do ...sweet and salty 😍
Lol. I don't blame him for not knowing about the cold milk thing. In China they almost always have warm or hot drinks and think cold drinks are "bad" for you, for whatever reason.
The way they view the temperature of the body is very important to Chinese health it seems. I think there may be something to it who knows.
Love your vids man! Such an upbeat person with a great attitude and having a blast, awesome!
Before I even see this video I can already imagine them saying it's too sweet.
I stumbled across your channel and it's addicting! I'm not sure what your American name is but your Chinese friend cracks me up. Well, so do you actually! And you're like a unofficial Ambassador between the two Nations. I hope I was PC in how I worded this as I do not want to upset anyone. The Chinese people who recognize you from your channel sure like you and that's awesome! Keep up the great relation building things that you're doing!
I can relate in that I prefer savory foods as well

Again, great video. Amazing that people living in the West have never had cereal, also I didn't know they are so many complex dishes for breakfast.
I wanna learn Chinese now.

It's amazing how people trusted you and ate food from a package that was already opened, and milk too.
The guy at the end who didn't want to be filmed. Haha!
Oh I wish I was there to introduce them to Louisiana Cajun food mais cher. They would love it. I eat fried spicy cajun catfish for breakfast and make a great omelette they would love. They would love crawfish bisque with stuffed crawfish shells with spicy dressing and shrimp étouffée. And french toast with good crispy bacon. I know they would like the food because we use rice and I also use indies. I make southern chicken in dumplings but I put honey in them. To make the broth taste good. Not to sweet just a little. It’s delicious the dumplings are huge. White chicken shredded meat plus my cajun daddy taught me to make great chicken soup. And cajun game hens and so much good seafood. Marinated crab claws they would like. I like hearty breakfasts too. But I can’t make thin crepes yet like my daddy did. He was like a chef and made beautiful presentation.
I noticed people were asking if the milk was supposed to be hot or cold. In France, they used to eat cereal with hot milk too. Not a traditional breakfast there either. Traditionally, they would have bread with coffee or tea or hot chocolate. Always a warm beverage in the morning. So, warm milk seemed more appropriate in the morning to them when Corn Flakes were introduced to France.
这种类的早餐麦片,大马很早的年代就有了,只是我买来当零嘴,不曾当早餐。
