@@FakeFoodShow new video please! I hope you're doing fine, Evan! Thank you for these delightful videos. I always go back to see them every once in a while. It reminds me that life is beautiful and worth fighting. Take care!
I've been eating those potstickers for over 20 years, so I'm glad your grandpa agrees they're good as well. My favorite way to prepare them now is to boil them for 10 minutes, strain, dry, lightly coat them with oil and then put them in an air fryer for 8 minutes. Due to the way they're shaped, it can be hard to get them crispy on both sides by pan frying them, so that's why I use an air fryer now.
Someone told me to put the pot stickers in my air fryer without cooking them first, and it was a horrible waste. I love your idea, I'm going to try it that way.
@@kristinaLeeLee That will just dry out the thin batter too much if they're placed frozen in an air fryer. Boiling them thoroughly cooks them on the inside and hydrates / expands the batter so they can be fried. Don't boil them for too long or over 7 heat, because the batter will expand too much causing it to fall apart and become sticky.
I guess you guys are probably too young to remember, but Ling Ling was a famous panda bear haha. That's why the Ling Ling brand logo mascot is a panda. Not racist, just named after a cute, famous animal 🤷♀️🐼
I'm really glad the very first dumplings you guys tried are grandpa approved because those are my favorite and I currently have 2 boxes in my fridge right now 😂
Grandpa again you are the highlight to your grandson channel. You are hilarious. Best part “. I don’t care they want to fight me pull up. Awe man I laughed so hard. Grandpa you are the coolest ever!❤
I'm ABC so it's good to have my biases confirmed by a real Chinese grandpa. I only had 1 grandma growing up and she's gone now, but I don't think we ever got her to eat prepared food from Costco
Those rice bowls are amazing for packed lunches, 90 seconds in the microwave and you're good to go. Combine some tuna, mayo, and some Sriracha, then you've got a whole meal
Grandpa rocks! Ling Ling dumplings are pretty good, as are the chicken, shrimp & cilantro wontons (which are really good when added to a bowl of congee/rice porridge with a little soy sauce, sesame oil and an egg stirred in once the congee is heated to just about the boiling point). The A-Sha thick cut Hakka noodles are really good, though I much prefer the spicy chili flavor with added Sichuan chili and peppercorns to give it a nice ‘ma la’ flavor profile with its numbing heat. Though the A-Sha Hakka noodles contain wheat, they do remind me of a chow fun/hor fun rice noodle, and rather than do the 4 minute boil and drain, I like to slightly undercook them, drizzle the drained noodles with a little oil and separate them, then stir fry them in a hot well-seasoned wok, first pre-searing the noodles to give them some wok hei, setting them aside and wok scrambling an egg to slightly undercooked, then adding the noodles back on top of the egg and tossing with the sauce packet drizzled in down the hot wok sidewall and adding a little pre-stir fried chicken. Having an outdoor commercial-grade propane wok burner makes it come out practically restaurant-quality. I understand that some of the Costco’s (Fountain Valley, Orange County being one) even now carry frozen seedless Malaysian musang king durian! I’m a lover of durian and have tried the musang king before, and will definitely buy some despite the high price. Cheers!
Naming a Chinese food after a very famous giant Panda, an animal closely associated with China, is not racist by any means. If you believe it is, you either 1) Don't know history 2) Were taught history at a liberal arts college Google: "Ling-Ling the Panda." I believe the mascot is a panda
So much fun watching you interact with your Grandpa. Next time let Grandma asked the question she did all the cooking. Felt bad for her. She's so sweet .Any chance she will come on for the next tasting with grandpa?
Wow if there's Costco here I would have bought this and make my family try this. There's Costco when we went in Sydney but we only bought Frozen Pizzas and grilled chicken.
Dude, how'd you get LingLings to not stick to the pan? I always end up with a soggy mess. Hey, do a how to video, cause I'm an American, I can't cook in a wok t save my life.
Any other places and foods you want my grandpa to try? Let us know!
And watch the Trader Joe's video if you havent! Link above!
Have him try izzys

Costco has a a huge asian client base. Sales as feedback have evolved the quality of what they stock in asian food.

Costco should hire Grandpa as the spokesperson for the Chinese food sold there. Wow!! So Costco’s Chinese food is actually good.
Grandpa again you are the highlight to your grandson channel. You are hilarious. Best part “. I don’t care they want to fight me pull up. Awe man I laughed so hard. Grandpa you are the coolest ever!❤

SERIOUSLY use a tripod though ! 😩
My advice...don't mess with a man who tossed a wok for a living. Those arm are made of iron.
Authentic Asia is pretty damn good! I love their thai green curry!
Ooooo I was like “if they don’t try the shrimp wonton soup, I’m gonna flip!” Those are 🔥 little pricey but a really good quick meal. Much love ❤️
