Thanks for providing this! I love getting to help people memorize scripture with songs, but longer passages can be challenging to turn into meaningful songs!
Hey, here's an interesting verse from the Bible that has a similar strand of thought from Deuteronomy 6:6-9: "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." Also, as a pointer, the term "heart" in Hebrew includes the "mind" as we think of it. God knows we ought to daily think about His Word. And Deuteronomy underscores this whole idea by giving us direction to make every aspect of our "life" to coincide with His Word. It's like treating life as a gigantic "mind palace" for storing the Word of God.
I am going to work on this method for my memory to learn scripture I once knew. Many types of chemo left me with poor cognitive skills. Thanks for the help!
A very simple way is to use the talents that God has given to you. If you are musician, write a song about it. If you are an artist, draw or paint or whatever you do for art a picture of it. If you are an author, write a short prompt or a poem or something about the verse. Since you (hopefully) love and embrace your talent, it will be easier to memorize something of which you are very familiar with. That, or just literally find a song inspired by a verse and listen to that song. If you memorize the song, as many people these days do, the verse comes with it.
There's a lot of Bible readers and preachers that memorizes all the text from the Bible, but they don't understand it. The best way to understand the Bible is to bring altogether the words or text on the subject you wish to know by comparing spiritual things with spiritual, then if there is no contradiction on your idea from the Bible then you cannot be in error.
This is an excellent method! I listen to Psalms and Proverbs on a daily basis, but often despair of remembering the many gems within. I look forward to returning to these verses with a more visual technique. Thanks!
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, which bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalms 1:1-3

Here's the best way to memorize bible verses: READ THE BIBLE A LOT! sorry. That's it. Adding a bunch of imagery techniques just summarizes the points. It doesn't help you memorize the verses very much. The unfortunate answer is simply reading the Bible.
No that's the best way to benefit from the bible, a memory palace is a significantly more efficient way to store information. Also it helps in the long term when a bible might not be available. People act like relying on memory techniques is cheating or something and shows a lack of faith.

My brain does not always remember where I left that jacket, sometimes it doesn't even remember to tell me that I left the jacket on the way out. The way to memorize Bible verses is to share them with people in the discussion, and write them down. If you don't share or discuss the Gospel with anybody, don't count on your memory.

Lol I've memorized over 1000 Bible verses and it seems to me that the best way to do it is to read the same verse over AND over again until you can quote it the go to the next verse and after that one quote the last verse and that verse and keep doing that until you got it all down
Great video. Using evidenced based effective techniques based on what is known about how the brain works through neuroscience. The 'elaborate encoding' does take effort but takes info from the immediate memory to the long term if it is reviewed at certain intervals. Now I just need to put the effort into the application of this to scripture. Many thanks, people will be greatly helped if they give the method a go, rather than criticising if they are unfamiliar with the strategy. Bless you.
Bible is a continuous theme. Original bible texts had no chapters & verses. It all started by chapters in 1250 AD by Hugo & verses in 1551AD by sir Robert stephans. It helped breaking bible to the level of quotations & thereby helped to form denominations. The whole bible is one verse. Book of John in 10:35 writes not to break scripture to crucify Jesus. Damn them.
First, let me say that I hope and pray that this method of memorization is helpful to some. My husband actually does something similar to remember people's names. However, I must confess that when he tells me what he pictures to remember the name, I am just bewildered. How does this help? To me, this is so confusing, because now I have remember twice as many things: all the pieces of furniture, and then the words that each one represents. For me, it is far easier to simply read and then repeat each verse out loud, until it sticks with me. All that to say, if this method works for you, then great - use it! But if this method doesn't work for you, don't give up! There are many different learning styles, and many methods for memorization! If one doesn't work, try another. The important thing is to be in the Word and asking the Spirit to help you retain it, and live it out. Shalom!
I understand. Now I can finding verse and memorizing these verse are lot easier for me. But the reason is to God could help me to memorizing bible verse now.
We have Bible Quizzing here for the teens and our kids are at about 120 verses and they have to memorize word perfect . Absolutely no word can be wrong.
I try to use this technique to memorize a big bunch of Information. The problem is that I don't know how to create a huge memory palace to help me to memorize a book in few days.
But the most likely things you need to memorize is to follow our Lord Jesus Christ to the glory of God the Father. And every body needs to know who is that God of our Lord Jesus Christ John20:17 Jesus saith unto her, touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto my Father: but go unto my brethren and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. 1Peter2:21-25 For even hereunto where ye called, because Christ also suffered for us leaving us an example that ye should follow his steps Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth. Romans12:1 I beseech ye therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service
The method is obsolete and uselessly tiresome. The key is getting the info into long-term memory. This is done by having a depth of passion for what you are learning, not visualizing somebody's butt when the traveler ties his ass to a tree.
Such a good practice dear-Create a mind palace-arrange big furnitures in imagination and logical order & keep 1 word in each file,Review learned verses in day time and night before sleep
ok...this is cool...but I have a question...let's say I fill up my memory palace with one chapter...when it is time to memorize another chapter...if I place something else on the same pieces of furniture...will they conflict with each other? Do I have to use a different "palace" for each chapter I am gonna memorize? I guess I have a question about placing more than one thing on the same pieces of furniture...
+Sherman Haywood Cox II The way I do it is either have a different palace for each chapter, or have a character that has an item that stands for that chapter. Example, I put a bun on the head of my character to stand for chapter one, I put a swan on his head to stand for chapter two. You can then have your character interact with each spot in your palace. I have been making virtual memory palaces in sketchup and using a different house for each chapter. it seems to work better to have a different palace for each chapter because if the verses are similar it is easy to mix them up.. I put some examples on my channel. I hope this was helpful.
Sherman Haywood Cox II, this is a common problem we run into when memorizing entire chapters of the bible. What I do is go to 360cities.com, pick a panoramic image there, and use it to memorize a chapter. There are literally tens of thousands of images that you can use there, so in theory, you could memorize the entire bible if you wanted to. I also created a video on how to memorize individual verses and references using the mind palace and save a lot more mental space at the same time. You can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/0YHBL8qQa44/видео.html

This is so amazing. I Confess I find it difficult to remember Bible verses.People Keep saying it is easy.I do so
Over and enjoy reading my Bible and write many scriptures down, and still struggle to remember them.I really do have to depend on The Holy Spirt To Help me..Thanks for sharing this with us.
I just take a piece of paper write the scriptures in a nice size with a permanent marker and stick on the way and when I’m praying I use them I study them and there significance and I remember them that way
The easiest way to memorize the word of GoD you follow in joshua chapter 1 verse 8 read and meditate the bible day and night
You really just helped me more than anything cuz I've been trying to read it and just memorize but I'm definitely a visual person that puts everything into perspective
Thank you
Thanks for providing this! I love getting to help people memorize scripture with songs, but longer passages can be challenging to turn into meaningful songs!
Hey, here's an interesting verse from the Bible that has a similar strand of thought from Deuteronomy 6:6-9:
"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."
Also, as a pointer, the term "heart" in Hebrew includes the "mind" as we think of it.
Thanks for watching!
Kimberly Hendrick - I pray for you
A very simple way is to use the talents that God has given to you.
Hi, Ron! Thank you so much for this video. I may have to go back and watch it again to really understand your method but I can definitely see how this could be helpful in memorizing. I really want to know the Lord's word so that I can apply it to my life every day. God bless you for your time and talent!
I hope this helps
Great I have just memorised Genesis chapter 1 with your help! I really like memorising fairytales!
Thank you for the comment!
😂😂
This is very good until we become in-tuned enough to the Holy Spirit, who Jesus said would bring all things to our remembrance.
I have been a spirit filled christian 23 years. This is amazing for me. I listen to the word because i have a hard time retaining what i read. I do read the bible but its hard to understand what i am reading it has gotten better over the years but i wish i had this the moment i started reading the word. I will share this with my sons they go threw the same thing. Thank you God that you gave this man the answers for so many of us who has a reading memory disorders. @@Rob.Christian
And? You do know that the Christian faith wasn't founded by a warmongering pervert and isn't known for terrorizing the planet, right? Yeah, no amount of quote mining and elephant hurling can fool anyone who is even modestly critical in their thinking. Nice try though! But I do understand that in Islam, it is okay to lie so long as it furthers Islam...

Mind palace is the only way I've ever been able to memorize scripture!
AWESOME TIPS BUT I RAN OUT OF FURNITURE
lol
Moom O. XD!
Use objects outside the house
We're gonna need a bigger house!
Moom O. I created a video similar to Ron's using the method of loci showing how to extract all of the possible loci's from a piece of furniture so you never run out! Lol; you can find it here: ruclips.net/video/0YHBL8qQa44/видео.html
Study to shew thyself. Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.
I have not been memorizing bible scripture. And the only excuse i have is my mind can give me a lit if things i need to do instead. Stinking thinking obviously. But that changes today. I have been lazy when it comes to my Lord Jesus Christ. It is time for me to grow up spiritually. Thank you for the video. God Bless.
Thank you for this! I have been searching high and low for someone who explains memory palaces for Scripture memorization! Nothing better on earth to memorize than God’s Word! Thank you for giving me a sharper “Sword” in my quest to greater memorization.
You are so welcome!
SOME PEOPLE OR VISUALS SOME OR NOT HOLYSPIRIT CAN GIVE DIFFERENT STRATAGIES KEEPING YOUR HEART & MIND REFRESHED IN NEW WAYS, THANKS FOR VIDEO MAY HOLYSPIRIT CONTINUE TO GIVE YOU & THOSE READING NEW WAYS TO RENEW MIND
Praise the Lord, Brother. I’d like to say, pray with the scripture, Who can teach the mind of Christ? The same Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from dead now lives in me...The way to remember is first to understand and then to believe. God will help in miraculous ways. He will remind you. Amen
Visualize in pictures for that particular verse.
And read it with the vision of what that scripture is saying.
And continue on reading Yahweh word everyday and you’ll be fine along with the spirit of praying for a incredible memory like a microchip.
Tell yourself you can remember anything and never forget, self affirmations.
May Yahweh bless you and your efforts shalom.
I use the mind palace a lot for school, and I'll definitely try this too
i memorized when I was little by listening to bible songs. for stories, I read the Bible in comic form from back to from several times. smartest kid in the sabbath school and more than some the adults
That is so great Jasmine
I LOVE TO READ THE BIBLE
Here's the best way to memorize bible verses: READ THE BIBLE A LOT!
sorry. That's it. Adding a bunch of imagery techniques just summarizes the points. It doesn't help you memorize the verses very much. The unfortunate answer is simply reading the Bible.
that's right, that's all i do, is read the bible alot, and let the spirit keep me in remembrance
No that's the best way to benefit from the bible, a memory palace is a significantly more efficient way to store information. Also it helps in the long term when a bible might not be available. People act like relying on memory techniques is cheating or something and shows a lack of faith.
so if you learn this method in your house with your furniture... then you go to Walmart and u have opportunity to witness will you forget the verses because you have no furniture in Walmart
This is great for visual learners
yes your right 😇
There are many ways to memorize Scripture. This is a great tool. Thanks. MikeInMinnesota
Thank you for sharing visual tips to memorize the Scripture!

Day 30: my thoughts are so filled with so many bizarre things that it has bled into reality and the dolphin in my bathtub caused a flood that ruined the Mona Lisa I had downstairs
You Turned To God From Idols To Serve The Living And True God 1 Thessalonians 1:9 is what im trying to remember
Thank u this was very helpful
This is great! Thank you! I've used a similar technique to help my daughter memorize her spelling words! God Bless!
Awesome ideal. It worked for me.
I would honestly forget the first one after talking about the bath.. But I didn't, I remembered the first one to my parents in the screen.. This is cool. I'm taking it.. Thanks!
It’s good and all that the Lord will bring things to remembrance however you still have to put work into it. A great idea to memorize
Great one Ron .Therefore there's now no condemnation for them that are in Christ Jesus.
This is the loci. The memory palace. The book Moonwalking with Einstein. Great stuff
THERE ARE MANY VERSES IN THE BIBLE SO I HAVE TO DO JHON LUKE AND PSALAMS YOU CAN READ THE HOLY SPIRINT BIBLE BEFORE SLEEPING SOON ON SUNDAY WE SHOULD GO TO CHURCH AND PRAY TO JESUS OUR HEART IS THE LOVE OF CHRIST OK I NEED TO READ IT SO I NEED TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN AND FOLLOW GOD AND JESUS IS THE ONLY GOD. I LOVE THE BIBLE
Thank you sir for sharing the idea how to memorize the verse in the bible
just follow jesus.god anoints and holy spirit will guide when and what to say .praise the lord .amen.
Stop judging people who have a hard time memorizing. It's called ADD. If it helps some to really retain info, then do it! 👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Awesome tips.I will follow them.
Lol I've memorized over 1000 Bible verses and it seems to me that the best way to do it is to read the same verse over AND over again until you can quote it the go to the next verse and after that one quote the last verse and that verse and keep doing that until you got it all down
Wow, your videos are so cool. Thanks for all the information.
I use this with my clients in counseling. I have them memorize the beatitudes in 15 minutes!
Now that is worth you making a video on.
You really rock for this thank you SUBSCRIBED!
thank you this helps me to know more and more bible verses 👍
Great video. Using evidenced based effective techniques based on what is known about how the brain works through neuroscience. The 'elaborate encoding' does take effort but takes info from the immediate memory to the long term if it is reviewed at certain intervals. Now I just need to put the effort into the application of this to scripture. Many thanks, people will be greatly helped if they give the method a go, rather than criticising if they are unfamiliar with the strategy. Bless you.
It's cool to see that you memorize bible verses too.
This is absolutely brilliant!!! I can't wait to use this. I must admit it is very brain draining
You can do it!
It really works!!!!! God bless you forever.
Thank you
Great stuff thank you
Wow this really helped, Thankyou
love 💕 this thank you 🎉for sharing
You are so welcome!
Shalom!
I thought first commandments meant about "God sculpture" but it has different meaning I never had a thought of "money get praised".
I understand. Now I can finding verse and memorizing these verse are lot easier for me. But the reason is to God could help me to memorizing bible verse now.
How about just memorizing “Do unto others”? ...and then actually living that way!
We have Bible Quizzing here for the teens and our kids are at about 120 verses and they have to memorize word perfect . Absolutely no word can be wrong.
Another easy way is to pray about it and applying it to our daily lives.
Loved the method its still useful with other method.
Amen God Good WINNER'S IN chRist TNX 4 SHARING GOD BLESS US ALL
Thanks. For me to memirze I write it down many times. That works too.
I try to use this technique to memorize a big bunch of Information. The problem is that I don't know how to create a huge memory palace to help me to memorize a book in few days.
Thank you Mr. Ron this video was useful for me 👍 I will try to follow 🙌
Wao to good. Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching!
good video. another way to remember is to repeat repeat repeat repeat you get the idea. great vid though.
I use Memlok. It's like what you are saying. Also Audio verse.
But the most likely things you need to memorize is to follow our Lord Jesus Christ to the glory of God the Father.
And every body needs to know who is that God of our Lord Jesus Christ
John20:17 Jesus saith unto her, touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto my Father: but go unto my brethren and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
1Peter2:21-25 For even hereunto where ye called, because Christ also suffered for us leaving us an example that ye should follow his steps
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.
Romans12:1 I beseech ye therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service
memory system is gud its journey method. few more system i have included. watch and blessed. god bless u all
This seems harder than just memorising normally.
Redeemed Son ... I'll stick with sticky notes. Seem easier.
The method is obsolete and uselessly tiresome. The key is getting the info into long-term memory. This is done by having a depth of passion for what you are learning, not visualizing somebody's butt when the traveler ties his ass to a tree.
Redeemed Son lol yes it does.
Lol
lol
Excellent, God bless you
God bless you blessing hope it works God is so good all the time Amen HALLELUJAH JESUS CHRIST IS WORTHY WORTHY WORTHY LORD
Such a good practice dear-Create a mind palace-arrange big furnitures in imagination and logical order & keep 1 word in each file,Review learned verses in day time and night before sleep
Rolling Stones Intro got an instant like and sub from me 😂
ok...this is cool...but I have a question...let's say I fill up my memory palace with one chapter...when it is time to memorize another chapter...if I place something else on the same pieces of furniture...will they conflict with each other?
This is useless. Simply read the Bible.
Massa, but some people need more than just reading. I’ll admit some can memorize the Bible just by reading it through; I’m thinking of the “Heavenly Man”, but for the rest of us, having some method of committing to memory is important.
@@mindtribe8542
Perhaps you're right, for me I simply read the desired verse over and over and over and over. I know a few by heart by this easy method lol.
Hi Ron, if you use multiple rooms in your house to memorize, let's say Romans,... after you memorize it, can you use the same rooms and/or same furniture/items to memorize another book of the Bible? Or will that diminish your previous associations you made in that room to memorize the book of Romans?
How do you remember the location of the bible verse? Say I want to find a scripture, but I forgot where it is. What techniques can I use to find a scripture?
Congratulation! Very good video.
Thank you! Cheers!
You may wish to memorize this bible verse: Ezekiel 23:20. It is powerful.
God bless you, brother
Thank you Ron.
