Thanks so much for bringing us along on this tour Kimberly. Although I was expecting an impeccably maintained garden - by David Austin and Co., I was pleasantly surprised to see some areas "lacking" maintenance. Not complaining at all- the garden had all the bones and dreamy roses that we have all come to know and love. Garden maintenance is a very expensive job, most aren't aware of and I've since learned the staff is usually housed on the property. The peacocks were soooo charming!
Цей сад чарівний, казковий, дуже красивий! В мене виникло враження, ніби всі кам'яні скульптури оживають і починають чаклувати якісь неймовірні чари! Я таких садів ніколи не бачила! Дякую за чудове відео! 🌹
Wow! Wish my roses looked like that! My Mum used to have Peacocks in her garden on a thousand acre farm ( Australia) & she didn't "keep" them in. They just stayed there.
Thanks very much Kim for sharing your experience and joy of bring in DA headquarters and private gardens. if nit for you we wont have a chance to see DA private garden. The peacocks are beautiful too.God bless.😇🤗
Enchanting! I loved the colorful companion plants! They are making the roses look more beautiful! The peacocks are so pretty! Thank you so much for sharing this private garden tour with us. It’s very special! ❤️🌹
Very pleasant garden.. I also enjoyed the reflection pool and the statue of a woman. The plantings of 3 or more roses together really makes a statement and how all the roses just run together. The deep purple, pinks and the dark pink rosey color are a fabulous combination. Enchanting. Simple pergolas...in the meadow naturalized area were very lovely. It stands to reason once the beautiful pergola is totally covered in roses it does not matter what supports it.
So lovely to see the private garden, and especially all the climbing roses, and the alley of roses on very simple supports. Peacocks do own the place😁, and from what I have seen, protect themselves, and will go up to roost at night where they are safe.
Facinating. Thanks for sharing. My husband and I use to have peacocks when we lived in California. They just stayed around our property. We even had a pair of pure white peacocks.
Wow, surprisingly, I was underwhelmed by this garden. Unkept, weeds everywhere. You'd think they would have staff to do the upkeep of his gardens. I too love gardens that aren't perfect, but this one was just soooo disappointing. The peacocks were the star of the show! Thanks for sharing with us.
It was interesting to me that many gardens in the UK don't mulch. I tried one season to not mulch and I will never do that again. So much work to weed. Thank you for being a subscriber to my channel.
Beautiful! I enjoyed seeing a closeup of the peacocks. They wander around like that at the zoo in Indiana. It is both interesting to watch them and a little unsettling when you don't know they are nearby and all of a sudden you hear that sound over your shoulder lol. The private garden had some lovely roses. I have enjoyed seeing all off the statues in the tours too. They are so different from the ones available here.
Thank you for the England rose videos! Peacocks are territorial and will stay in the same place once they've been there a few weeks. They can fly over the walls of the gardens, that's how they appear in different areas, and they like to sleep on rooftop peaks at night.
Wow! 😍Thanks for sharing! It is like the secret garden, it has it‘s formality but at the same time, wildness. I love the flair, ambiance in the garden and the Peacock made it magical! It reminds me of the garden of the Borromeo’s in Isola island, Italy. Your video is a gift for us. A lovely day to you!🌹🌹🌹
@@TheRoseGeek The Borromeo‘s island are Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola die Pescatori ( Fishing Village). The Isola Madre is the one with beautiful garden with so many colourful birds ( golden Fasan etc.), the Isola Bella is known for it‘s Amphitheatre garden or Terrace garden. This island is in the north of Italy in a Lake Magiorre. It‘s worth a visit if you are in Italy. I know you are a big fan of roses if in case in the future you come to Germany then Rosarium Sangerhausen is the best place to go. There are 10,000 variety of roses and plants, one of the biggest Rosarium in Europe for roses. 😍🌹
@@TheRoseGeek After watching your garden trips has given me a lot of new ideas including more arbors. I am going to use rows of arch arbors to make a climbing rose path...all in, no retreat !!!
Thanks for the video - It looks lovely. Question - As soon as you go through the door you are presented with the climbing roses - Do you know if those are just one climbing rose each or is there multiple - a bit like the potted roses i.e. 2 or 3 in a pot - I'm just amazed by the coverage.
As rosas de David Austin são belíssimas! Já fiz algumas pesquisas aqui no Brasil pra ver se encontro pra comprar mas não encontrei. Gostaria de saber se elas nascem através de sementes e como faço pra adquiri-las?
Interesting that they left the brick paver areas so empty and not adorned with containers or something. They felt a bit neglected in an otherwise beautiful garden.
I love gardens that aren't perfect. They are alive.

@@TheRoseGeek some roses are doing better than others. Secret and Bliss already have some buds on them!

I believe the yellow rose is actually The Pilgrim 🤗
The pink one is Spirit of Freedom, and the apricot one is A Shropshire Lad.
Those peacocks are so beautiful and bold. Would be so cool to have one in the yard lol. Thank you for another nice video.

This is my favorite one - because its much more modest, less luxurious and more human scale

I wish I had video of my chihuahua’s reaction when he heard that peacock from the 1st video 🤣
Thank you for the beautiful garden tours, may I ask the name of the pink climbing rose at 1:25? Thanks again
I noticed how they have no mulch under their roses and they also don’t weed. I wonder how to maintain their moisture?

So beautiful!!! Thanks. I know there are no tags on the roses but I wonder about the dark pink and light pink one at 5:57. Any idea??? Anyone???
Thank you.
What do you call that bush tree

I knew people who had peacocks they said they did roam far. But they have clipped the under wing. But then another thought, do they fly at all?

I think I peed a little when I saw the video title 😅
Maybe they flew
Can't hear you very well with the sound of the wind on your microphone
I like the garden but I don’t think that I would like to have a peacock walking around. 🤦♀️
